Thrash: Nice update on the map. I was just wondering about the "Used" spaces in the keep- what is in their place? Stairs? I also had a question regarding the guard walls of the keep. Since there are three floors, how would the balcony work on the first and second floors? They can't really sit on top of each other- that would defeat the purpose of having a balcony. I'll take another look at the first post, but this doesn't make sense to me right now...

darkagent: Nice improvements for your throne room. I really like the red carpet and the war trophies on the wall.

I also had time for an updated version of my wine cellar, which I have enough bricks to make (thanks to the King's Castle Siege set) it, the walls, and the hallway (sorry, I couldn't wait. I can always make changes if need be). So, here's a teaser:

Good question. All of the "used" spaces have modules underneath them that take up the space. For example, the Entrance hall is double high, thus the second floor spot over the Entrance hall is "used." The staircase is two stories high also, so that space is used. The gatehouse is 3 stories high, so all of that space is used. The courtyard should be in the open air, so all of the space above that is empty, or "used." Don't worry about balconies, those just go on the modules outside the keep. However, the third floor modules can probably get away with having windows that have large overhangs. I hope that clears everything up! If not, let me know.

Of course you can still sign up! ISC will assign you to one of the two groups where you can post pictures of your bank (and any of the other modules you want to make) once it's finished.

Sorry that I haven't been producing any new modules lately. I'm currently in the process of taking apart all of my MOCs from the past few months, to resupply my pieces a bit and clear some space. As soon as I get that done, I'll begin work on the kitchen.

Just to clarify, I might need to take apart the bakery, so I wanted to figure out what I needed to do before. For example, do I need to make instructions?

You'll need a few instruction pictures if there's a part of the module that can't be rebuilt from the pictures of the module that we already have. IMO you bakery is fine with the pictures we have already, unless there is someone something in the oven that we can't see.

Well I am as guilty as most, when not taking instruction pics. So I don't feel you need too as it looks unlikely we will ever facilitate a build as large as this all at once.

However, if anyone wishes to rebuild certain modules they could contact the maker and they may be able to talk them through the build.

No need for construction pics unless your building techniques were particularly confusing to replicate without clearer pictures of how it was done. For the most part I think that it should be fairly easy to rebuild any of the modules based on the pictures already provided.

Now if that was confusing, I will pick three random entries from Alpha and match them against Beta for a bragging rights team spirit thingy.

How does this sound? Maybe the winning team gets a reward for a month or something. Maybe I could make a avatar/signature pic with some pretty text from Thrash for the winning team each time.

Let me know your thoughts.

In other news, you'll be glad t know I've finally started on the front gates. Hooray! I've managed to place a whole two bricks so far, but I've got a vague idea mapped out, so hopefully it won't come out to badly.

That sounds like a great idea. Not only will it be fun for all of the EBCCB participants, but it should also draw some attention to what we're doing here and maybe bring in some new members. I'm not sure that the random selection is the best way to go, as it might end up putting three of the best creations from one group against three of the weakest creations from the other group. To solve this problem, I think that each member should tell you which of their own creations is their favorite, and then you select the three random from each team from the pool of each persons favorite. No matter how we do it, I think it'll be a great contest!

I would be happy to help out with the avatar/signature thing.

Since Stol and I are on opposing teams and both worked on the Church, just leave it out of the contest.

Yes, it is too early. If my memory serves me, the only dupilcates we have thus far are the Armory (Jifel and Guss) and the Brothel (darkagent and Josh). The armory doesn't really count though since Guss and Jifel are both on Team Alpha. Considering the rate modules have been coming in and the number of new modules left to fill, it shouldn't be long before we have many more duplicates though!

That's great news. Based on what I've seen of your other work, I'm really excited to see what you do with the front gate!

It would be great to see those banners on the frontpage of EB promoting the contest too. Perhaps the same size as the one in the Sig would be better Thrash.

Ha, I was pretty tempted to do acceptable alpha, but Lalande just helped me sort some of my lego and she's on team alpha, so I decided to give them a good banner...
