They're nothing special, so I won't bother putting them on the front page, but here are some new pics of the 10157 and 10158 trains. All they are is the carriage and train from 4511 sold seperately:

I know most people will just say "meh" to this thread, but I just thought that some people might be interested. :)

as already said, i'm not into trains/city, but i think its a good idea to sell single waggons seperatly, i'm sure jipay will confirm this... ;)

Lego is riping people off with these....

The regular train with both of them have 333 pices for $90 while the last train had more than twice as many piecs for only $30. They didn't even make a different train car like with past trains. I'm a Train / World City person, but this is crap.

Not only that but this even comes with an extra minifig! Damn what a rip....

Looks good. Although, I am not a train fan either but thanks for posting it anyway Sam.

Although Lego have released these again it is good for people who want to expand their trains with more carriages.

Hi, remember the American. :)

Once again you get a set first... :P

How many Euros does it cost? Euros and dollars are basicly the same thing now.

Posted

Each?!?! Damn! That's way too much for those. Lego is really ripping people off with these, it would just be better to buy two sets and sell the train stuff on Ebay.

Posted

I'lll buy at least one.

I got this fu...ng train and something is definitly missing. I guess i'll buy at least one of each to extend this short train.

Posted

WHAT??? does this mean he doesn't inform himself before buying lego sets??? ;) thats what i do always (except i find some cheap things were i can't resist to buy them immediatelly... ;))

Posted

Well the train is nice. But not complete. Now it will be !

And note there are not many trains sets to buy :(

Posted

Why not make custom trains then? If you buy lots of sets that are available you could create some new things with that.

I also planned this ! But 30 euros for 1 single wagon is definitly a lot... And there is not electric system inside of the loco. Once we get sets first cause we cannot see we will be ducked by american prices in 2 months ;)

Posted

I think you you are already being (Insert British word here that begins with F.... :) ) considing the thing cost $30 Euros. I mean maybe that's $25 American but still a ripoff. Anything over $20 American is too high.

Posted

Well the first time I saw lego in an american store I thougt it was on sale... It was normal priced but it was something like 30% cheaper than in France. there is something wrong with this policy. And the bigger the set is, the biger th gap will be : almost 125 $ of difference on an isd. Is that fair ? Definitly not

Posted

Oh I know, it's crazy. I hear stories all the time on a set that is 50 whatever the coutry money is and it equals $35 US, but in the US it's a $20 set. So maybe this will be a $20 set in the USA. :)

Snowspeeder is 30 euros in Europe which is around 30/35 $ :D

The difference on cheap sets is not that high so I don't know where the difference comes from

For me, it isn't the price. I think $25 US is a fair price for the set, especially

with the "bonus" 'Timmy' minifig.

What scares me off from buying is the almost certain of getting bley for the

colours of train, especially the base.

I got the train for $90 Canadian (which is like $63 US) on sale at my

local Toys R US. I already have multiple copies of other 9V train sets.

I bought 3 passenger cars from Ebay from someone who must have gotten

a bunch on clearance.

I think the 4511 is a tad bit <insert that tiresome argument> (but better designed than the

4561 Railroad Express, IMO). I think the 4511 looks a lot like the

German ICE-T trains. (again IMO).

Ben M.

ps. I do have a bunch of dark bley train track (from a motorized hogwarts

set) that I do not care for and which I don't think will sell in my

brickshop. Make me an offer, bmedinets@excite.com

Thanks.

Aha. The old "Why is it cheeper in other contries than mine" :oD

Is it fair?

Well I talked to a BrickLinker. He said something funny. "When the dollar is high - bricks go from europe to US. And when the dollar is low bricks go from US to europe!"

I think this is part of the explanation! Then there are taxes. I for one feel ripped of by the taxes.

Then there are wages! And the "normal" pricelevel of other goods. And ... And ...

But fair - No. It will never feel fair.
