Also there is a small one in Brisbane apparently but I havnt seen it :look:

I think I saw it [drove past one day for some reason..] its in the middle of the city I think...It doesnt sell LEGO though? Its like an educational one for little kiddies... :cry_sad:

And yes its small...

Wait, there's a LEGO store in Melbourne?

Apparently.. :sceptic:

Darth_legolis, could you kindly ask your brother where the lego store in Melbourne is??

I'd love to know but actually i doubt there is one because i probably would have already found it!!

The one in Adelaide is awesome...

Sorry to reply to late, Forgot about this thread

Hes away for abit now but I will ask him later.....

Whats the one in Adelaide like?

His brother must be confusing with an independent Lego store or a large toystore where they just have a lot of lego, since it is clear there isn't one there.

If there was one, we should know by now :classic: .

Too bad the Lego.com storefinder only lists the Lego stores of the UK, Germany and the USA. It's not that it would be that much of an effort to add all the stores to the list, most countries in Europe only have one or two, and there are plenty of countries that even haven't one (yet).

I dont think so. He would know the diffrence, hes an AFOL not your standard person who knows nothing about LEGO.

Also I thought you live in Belgium?

Also I sent TLG an email asking them where the LEGO stores in Australia are located.

Adelaide's shop is called Toy Corner I think. It's pretty big. Whenever someone I know goes to Adelaide for any reason I always give them $50 and say "bring me back something nice".

When you get a reply (probably not for the next 25 years in my experience) can you please PM the reply to me? Cheers.

Yeah sorry. I just love it how we go to visit people and end up in a LEGO store. They still stock 9v rail and I'm hoping to clear out some of that, but I rang for an aprox cost for a box of points and the guy said $99AUD! A box of curved or straight is $30AUD. Ouch.

Wow, I have only been to one Lego store and that is the one in Chicago, not living far away (St. Louis MO) it's a great place to go for a long weekend, comparing that store to this one I have to say im pretty disapointed in the Chicago one, I love the great Pick a Brick selection, wow certainly a resource that should be greatly utilized! Thanks a ton for the pics!

Ahhh Ok, Well its in the middle of the city [Around South Bank or something] I dont know how long it takes from my house because it depends on traffic :sceptic:

And I didnt see any parking, its like a smaller shop in the middle of the city without parking....So you probable have to walk 5 or so mins [theres lots of big carparks near by I think, Theyre underground.]

Ok I was just wondering who said it [You dont have to say his name] I guess that pretty reliable.... :sceptic::classic:

I just got back from the new Lego store in Sacramento....wow! is all I can say. They had an 8' R2-D2 build in process on the main floor of the mall, and a drawing to guess how many bricks were going to be used to build it (my guess was 18,250...who knows how close I'll be). The winner gets $50 to spend in the store.

The store was packed, and they had a line outside letting people in as people left. It was amazing to see some sets in person I'd only seen online before (the size of the Millennium Falcon is unbelievable!) and I wanted to see the chess set in person - it, too, looks fantastic. I wish the Eiffel Tower had been on display, though I can imagine it would be a nightmare in that packed store environment. The bulk lego concept is great, too, gives you the option to buy whatever color pieces you want/need.

I bought a few sets...I'm really into the helicopter sets, so I picked up the 4995 Cargo Copter (hadn't been able to find it around here), also picked up the 4993 Convertible and the 8297 off roader.

All in all a fun day...definitely worth the hour or so drive and the wait.

Sadly I can't go there since I live in the NETHERLANDS, here they also have a LEGO Store but it doesn't have every LEGO Set there, but the sets are cheap here, a few months ago they still had a thing to fill a bag with LEGO Bricks for only 5 Euro.
Where is that shop? Didn't know that Holland had a lego shop

I din't know either, where is this shop?

Maybe...I can go there! :sweet:

Can anyone PM me or write this down on this topic?

Thnx!

I was attually one of the vollenteers helping out the kids build the lego squares that the master builder Dan was using to asemble the 8 foot R2D2. I was only there Saturday as i already had plans for Sunday. It was alot of fun. Imeet some really great people, and even found out about a Sacramento based Lego Club! I was great to be able to help the kids build, and even some of them took pictures with me! :classic:

The line to get in the store was huge! While vollenteering, one lady complained that it took her nearly 2 HOURS to get in!!!!:oh3::oh3: The line at one point streched the intire lenth of the top level of the Mall. Luckly at the end of the day, the line had calmed donw, and i was able to go straight inside. My girlfrined was kind enough to purchase me the new technic tellahandler! For Vollenteering, we were given 30% off our purchase that day. I have a few pics witch i'll post once i get off work today.

Cool. Did you have to demonstrate to them that you were capable of building before you could volunteer?

Nope. Only a couple of vollenteers actually got to help with the build. Why they were picked, i don't know. I think cause they vollenteered for all 3 days. To be honest, it was all kind of miss leading.

Originally, we were told that vollenteers were needed to help the master builder Dan, build the 8 foot tall R2D2. So thats what i was expecting to do. When i got there, they gave me a yellow Lego Polo shirt to wear, name tag, and explained that what they attualy needed help with was couching the kids building the lego cubes to be used in the R2D2 build, re stock the tubs of cubes when they got low and break apart and seperate the cubes that either were built wrong, or weren't needed at the time (to make sure there were enough cubes to keep the kids building. So it was not what i was expecting at all. After talking with the other vollenteers, they were also under the same impression that they too were going to help with the attual build.

Although it was a little boring at first (nothing like sorting bricks for 8 hours :hmpf_bad: ), i actually had a great time! It was a very good feeling to be able to help the kids when they needed a hand, (a couple of the parents even wanted to take pics with me!),i also got to meet some great people! The other vollenteers were AFOL as well, so the hole time we were all taking Lego! What our favorite theme's were, our first sets, the 09 line up, i really had a good time. Master builder dan was also giving away free lego sets to kids though out the day. Not just impuse sets either, some bigones. At one point he gave away a republic gunship!

Sweet. There isn't that kind of thing happening in Canberra, Australia EVER! Sad, but alas Australia is not LEGO's most profitable country so there is no huge LEGO stores that do that.

Well there is only 20 000 000 people in Aus. but there is like 20 000 000 people buying lego in. lets say, America :sceptic:

So your saying we need to make a LEGO Political Party to promote LEGO?:grin:

Or just Convert the entire population?
