xenologer Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Today I went to a Lego Shop, and they had grab bags, so I grabbed two. They seemed to be jammed full of Speed Racer minifig parts: I seem to remember these being in the now-discontinued Build-Your-Own-Minifig bin. Mostly torsos, but I was able to put together about 9 helmet-less tajeo's and some... racerx's with white pants. Now what I am going to do with 9 tajeo's? its a cool outfit at least... maybe some kind of HK gang fight MOC someday? Overall view of parts, semi-sorted: the central pile is actually a little boring, just ordinary bricks in mass quantities. Some teal?aqua and orange colors at least. On the right is half the legs from a Separatist Spider Droid. and in the upper right is waay too many 1*4 wheelholders for me to know what to do with. Those white wall/column pieces might be useful if I ever try making a building... I guess the best thing in these bags, (me being a Space fan) is this MM Rover. It was in several pieces, but they came together like this. Unfortunatly the rest of the set(7644) must have been in other bags.... Quote
slimninj4 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Lego store in Tysons here has crappy Build Ur own Fig parts. I wish they would put some more exciting torsos in there. What is the grab bag. I want to get my hands on that. I hope other lego stores pick up on that. I go every few weeks to get brick parts. I got some great finds...trees...great colors...etc. Quote
xenologer Posted October 12, 2008 Author Posted October 12, 2008 Grab Bags are basically... bags of random bricks. Usually they come from PaB bins that have been sitting around too long, or from store display models that have been disassembled, or scooped out of those play tables... So if you happen to be there the day after the display models get changed, you can have some awesome parts in there. Quote
Shoc Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Wow, that great stuff! In Legoland one time they had a (quite hidden) tent with lots of bags from random sets, that was brilliant! Next time I get a chance to go to a Lego Store, I hope they have something like this. :skull: Quote
SWMAN Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Are these grab bags free? The only Lego store near me is Downtown Disney, and even though it is only 30 minutes away, I am not going to be traveling to it a lot, so I probably won't be able to snag any. Quote

GIR 3691 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Last time I went to a LEGO store, the Grab Bags were $8-12 USD, if I recall correctly. Quote
