Anyone even thought of the possibility that this new stranger in our town could be trouble? There is the possibility that he is here because he was contacted (by a witch) and asked to come in here to fool us regular townspeople?

Even you have to agree Mr. Inquisitor, it is strange that your timing brings you to this village just as we are having an uprising of witches and warlocks?

But I'm just thinking out loud.

And by the way, I think it is about midway through our day.

But I'm just thinking out loud.

Why does hair grow from your shoulder, long enough to braid? :look:

A few hours into the first day of the witch hunt, the town was stumped. Inquisitor Fernando sighed. His stomach rumbled too.

"We will continue this after lunch.." he said. The crowd soon dispersed.

Charles and Joan retreated to their manor, as did Philip to his. Elisa trailed behind them. Muttering to himself, Fernando walked back to his quarters. Pablo returned to his own hut too, hopefully to take a long overdue bath. Christopher went back to the town barracks along with Henry.

Martinus seemed to head back to the bakery, though no customers arrived.

Gustavus and Hernan began to work on their farm once more.

Mustafa and Bernard set up their shops down at the market just as Sabrina, John and Cassandra arrived.

Alexander returned to the church. Following close behind him were Miguel, Isabella and Sergio.

Could there be some clues here?

Thanks for that, I should have just looked at the sun, it is around directly over head. Silly me. Now, as to your suggestion, it is possible that what you say is true. But again, there is, as yet, no evidence. Then again, in another life, he was a traitorous mayor.

There could be, but to be honest, I can't see anything. :sceptic:

A fair question, Lord Satanpants Charles, let's see what we have ...

The Inquisitor went for lunch, but not to the bakery, since no customers arrived there. I'm not really sure where one gets lunch around here, I just usually pop something in the microwave have some bread and cheese.

You and Joan went home, as did Philip. Elisa trailed behind... who? All of you? That's confusing. Maybe she was meeting someone?

The soldiers went to their barracks, that's normal enough.

The farmers seem normal. We have an indication that Sabrina, John and Cassandra are all friendly. Do they hold a group secret?

I obviously went back to the church. Should we assume that Miguel, Isabella and Sergio are devout and came back to pray? I never saw them in the chapel, but that's no proof.

Hmmm... it isn't much to go on.

Oh, and the merchants were merchanting. I skipped right over them. Still, normal.

Why yes indeed, I have some excellent quality rugs here, yours for just umm... (OOC: What the hell is the currency in this place? )

We don't appear to be getting anywhere, do we? I don't much like the prospect of just sitting here until the witches kill us all... :look: Still, it's good to be jolly while you can. So, Sabrina, how about you and me go over there and have some lunch, hmmm? I've got this excellent Pinot Noir that would suit the ocassion perfectly! :sweet:

[OOC: Umm....... stones? ]

Do you have anything in Blue? It is my favourite colour. :classic:

This is a pretty long day and we have gotten no clues....we are pretty much just waiting for the inevitable, a death? :cry_sad:

We are floundering in a sea of uncertainty, clouded by currents of evil... :sceptic:

I do not believe we will learn much this way. We need to make a decision of some kind today, based on what we have.

Heres a decision. We got nothing so far and it looks like we wont get anything today.

I concur Father, but in all honesty, what do we have? Not much really. I am at a lose, we need the Lord to guide us.

We got nothing. Accept God, But he has not shown as any sign yet, Or maybe he did but we are stuipid?

I doubt it, He came because he heard there was trouble in this town.

That certainly is suspicous

:hmpf_bad: There is a big difference between the words "accept" and "except." I suggest you learn it.

I wonder if the four people who went to the church have something to hide. It's just an idea. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but it's the same reasoning behind suspecting our inquisitor. Perhaps the people who seem to be most deadset against heretics and witches are the Devil's agents themselves...

To be honest, I never knew of any Inquisitors before... Never do I heard of one, coming to our village. I don't trust myth and legend, but my faith to god and my blade at war. I am not trying to accuse the innocent wrongly, let alone be convincited without a reason. I do not like the thought, that we are sitting ducks at night and allow the witches to do its plotting and killing on us, when we are least expecting...

John, I do indeed have some in blue. Do you scroll work? I have a fantastic rug back here with a blue background and white and gold scroll work. A true marvel, if I might say so myself. Although I do wonder if it is within your price range, I normally reserve my special rugs for the rich nobles...

But hang on, your a weaver, why do you want to buy a rug from me? Couldn't you make one yourself? Is this all some kind of con trick? :oh3:

Ah that was a good lunch, and so far I've been ignoring what everybody has been saying! My coming to here was not on my own, it was an order tha I had received because there were rumors of such. Perhaps they came from a certain merchant who came out of this village, Mr. Turban. Sorry, I'm not actually accusing you just yet. I'm merely implying a merchant who came by here, foreign or from here, must have spread the word about heresy and now I'm here. As for the ones most against the witches, yes, I've seen it before. Remember people, the accusers are not always saints. And even I'm not a saint! Usually a person gets named a saint years after they die.. martyrdom here I come... *mutter*Hopefully it won't be here...

Well, I suppose we have to wait until next morning for clues about who worships the Devil... its on the edge of blasphemy that I am at a standpoint. Well then, carry on with your useless banter. Remember, I'll be watching you...

OOC: Haha.. I used part of what I remembered from The Crucible. And heeeeey, the traitorous mayor is another life after this! Shut up! *slaps self* Stop the OOC crap!

Must be something evil about that bread maker, or we are all poor and cant afford it!

Perhaps I will shack up with Mustafa, in an attempt to stay safe tonight! I have some lovely satan satin sheets on my hay bed that you may find quite comfortable

After a short break, the members of the town returned to the town square.

Before heading back to the meeting, Mustafa counted his profits of the day...

IMG_0990.jpg

He made note of the items that had been purchased...

- 2 Persian Rugs

- 1 Axe

- 1 Broomstick

- 1 Basket of Apples

- Parchment

Having written this down, he hurried off to the town square, where the meeting was about to begin...

CLUES! Clearly, someone who visited Mustafa today was buying witching supplies! Now, what do we know of the comings and goings of his shop? For one thing, Sabrina, John and Cassandra all did some shopping there today. For another, Mustafa should know who bought what, so tell us, turbaned merchant, who bought a broomstick and parchment today?

Hey look everyone, a clue! Finally! This here piece of parchment looks like the sort a witch might leave here. I must say it would be far to obvious for this clue to point to me, since I'm the one holding it, however I think that one of the three wandering around the market might have left it here. That's Sabrina, John, and Cassandra. Which one of you left this here? Hmmm? Or was it that other merchant who's name I have forgotten? This is very interesting, I think we may be on to something...

Opps, sorry, didn't see you there. Unfortunately I don't know who bought the stuff, but it must have been one of those three. John spent quite a bit of time here looking at my rugs, and Sabrina was here looking at other things, so it could have been one of them. The there is Cassandra too...

A broomstick and a parchment....

Looks to me like some witches are getting ready with their prop.....

Mustafa, it must be one of the three, hiding in there... Why don't you ever learn to recognise the villagers' purchase instead of counting your money?

Seems we're having a hard time getting our merchant to make sense, or maybe he just doesn't want to cooperate... First he tries to claim that the sales record he is holding is the parchment in question and that it was left by one of the shoppers, now he's uncertain who bought what, despite keeping such exacting records in a town with so few people.

What are you hiding, Mustafa?

I'm sorry, but once the money is in my hand I have to count it and make sure it's all there. It's a habit of mine. :cry_sad: Well let us see now, which of these three is it most likely to be. It could be Sabrina because of her name, but then, that is to obvious. John was after a Persian rug, and we all know that warlocks use Persian rugs to fly around on... Then there is Cassandra, who I know nothing about. Three suspects, but only one of them is likely to be the witch. So Which is the witch?

Hey, don't you start getting pig-headed on me. I have absolutely nothing to hide. In fact, this was a s much a shock for me as it was for the rest of you, so stop complaining. When did I say that the sales record I'm holding is the parchment in question? I thought somebody just bought the parchment? You are the one that is confused my friend.

I do find it very strange however that I do not know who bought the items. Then again, I don't normally record the names of the people who come in to my store, and yet, you would think I would remember them buying it. Perhaps they used their witchy powers to confuse me. :oh:

No, I do not believe we all knew that, but you certainly seem to. Rugs for magic flying. Parchment for evil spells. Broomsticks. You're just a regular Witches 'r' Us, aren't you?

Perhaps we should deal with this problem in hopes of keeping the witches from getting their needed supplies from this ready and willing source who is clearly more interested in money than in protecting our town from evil!

Well..I'm tired of this witching things..I'm going to take a short sleep..Like any other old people do. *Yawns* See you guys in an hour or two..

Now hang on, that isn't fair. It isn't my fault that witches use these normal household items for fiendish purposes. For all we know, somebody could have bought the broomstick to sweep out their kitchen. But then, in the current circumstances, I think most people would have thrown their broomsticks out by now. :sceptic:

Why do you want to accuse me so much Father? It is much to obvious for it to be true if these purchases were pointing to me, and so because of this, it must be one of the other three. We must learn not to look at everything with a face value, but rather explore these clues in greater depth. I'm sure you yourself have many parchments and a broomstick that you use in the church to sweep, but I'm not accusing you of witchcraft, am I? No, it is not the fact that I am selling these items, but rather we need to know who it is that would dare buy such controversial items during this time of crisis.

I think we are on to something here. :hmpf_bad:

Ah right, sorry. I was a bit delusional as to what the clue meant at that time. Now that we have cleared that up, we should try and put our good fortune to good use.

Posted

So we are on to something. Mustafa sells normal everyday items to people and forgets who. Probably used some sort of confundus curse or something on him (hey who doesn't like Harry Potter).

As far as I know I didn't purchase anything witchy or with witchy purposes in mind. Though Mustafa and I may go bobbing for apples tonight

To be honest, im a bit more worried about the intended use for the axe! Maybe a drive-by broom/axe attack is planned for the evening

I readily submit myself to all investigations, esp by Mustafa :wink:
