I readily submit myself to all investigations, esp by Mustafa :wink:

Oh, yes please! :sweet:

Sabrina brings up a good point, who bought the axe, and what are they planning? I didn't even know I sold weapons. :look: Either I'm getting forgetful, or something weird is going on here...

I only asked for carrots. I guess I got apples. I knew they tasted odd but oh well. Besides, if someone did buy a broomstick, it can be used for housework and not just for crazy people to fly around in. Im just not a stay at home wife. Despite the fact that I must cook, do taxes, work in the fields.

You should question some of the people in the church. Going to maybe confess their sins?

Or the Father is harbouring witches, wow!, what a perfect front!

None have indicated a desire to confess anything and I doubt that a witch would freely admit to being one in a town full of people looking to kill them, don't you? I also don't think that a witch would really want to spend time in a church, unless they are up to some evil that I am unaware of. Would the Inquisitor, who is clearly more informed on such subjects, be able to shine the glorious Holy Light of our Lord on that?

As for you... Buying apples when you want carrots and going around looking all weird with red lips. Weirdo!

Says the woman who shamelessly throws herself at Mustafa, right in broad, and I do mean broad, daylight.

Perhaps you'd like to confess something? At your current pace, we're going to be adding the letter A to your dresses so that all who see you will know your shame. :hmpf_bad:

I used to have red hair to in another life.

I wasnt saying that he was harboring witches, I said that maybe some people confessed on being a witch, and since the father can't tell anyone.

Where is our new guest, the Inquistitor? Some people are standing behind him very quickly.

How dare you come with such vile slander about our good Father?! Some times I wonder if you need a proper beating.

Hmmm... has no respect for the Church. Can't keep a civil tongue in her mouth. No respect for the sanctity of marriage, it's only a means to wealth and greed. Scheming and plotting. Already henpecking Mustafa, who she seems to have targeted to bewitch with her supposed charms.

What a bitch witch... :hmpf_bad:

OH my! Witches are purchasing witch stuff!?! :oh: Somebody get the torches!

I was in the church when this happened....but the witches are getting ready! Christopher, Henry, lets go kill some damn witches! :skull: We'll burn them alive with our torches! Then we'll be able to live in a town of peace!

Ok, I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment.

Do we go after the people who were shopping in the market earlier today?

Do we go after the vendor that sold these items just to make money?

Do we go after the hoochie with the A?

Tradition also tells us that at least one of the military fellows is not who they say they are.

I just don't know.

Possibly, but my wife was one of them, so I'd prefer not to do that.

I actually think he might be useful later on, so no.

Tradition also tells us that at least one of the military fellows is not who they say they are.

And it tells us that at least one noble is a bastard, that women are evil poisoners, that men of high rank should not be trusted and that crossdressing is cute. I'm not sure we can trust tradition here. So I don't know either, and that's very frustrating, everyone's just talking and talking and not doing anything. It's driving me nuts! Bah.

I have two suspicions:

Sergio/lego12: seems desperate to point out that he was not in the market when the items were purchased. Did someone buy you a broom or an axe? Why so quick to remove yourself from the scene of those purchases? After all, no one asked where you were at the time. Makes me think you have something to hide.

Alexander/Imperialshadows: Earlier when I was freaking out accusing everyone of being a witch including my wife, (who doesn't have a picture in the first post, can't be photographed? A witch, perhaps? :look: ) the Good Father told us to think peacefully and not accuse one another. Now that clues are surfacing he seems very quick to point the finger at other people and draw suspicion from himself. Perhaps he has something to hide as well...

Ah, now we are on to something because of that list. But by God, an axe was purchased during these times? Someone owns an axe?! That just rings killing in the night to me. As for the broomstick, that doesn't mean necessarily that it will be used for witchery. I'll admit I did accuse a woman in another village for sweeping up an inn. But hey, she didn't get lynched at all. So all works out. Finally for the parchment, there's many uses for parchment that its almost impossible to find out whether it is for good or evil purposes. Actually, whoever has the parchment please give it to me so I can write a letter.

The Father has a very good background, and perhaps its not right to accuse him of using that as a front to conceal heresy. He seems very content to get rid of the lady, who I hope will not break one of the commandments. Stay away from those married man, deary. And Mustafa also raises my curiosity. How do you forget to take down who bought your stuff and how did you not know you had a potentially dangerous weapon for sale? Are you a mad man? Sheesh..

We appear to have a good amount of prime suspects, but I'm curious about whether or not we should act just yet. It seems if we were to execute one of them, it would be a draw out of a hat. And the chances are low because it also seems that only one of them is a witch. But hey, perhaps all of them are witches. It really depends on whether or not we want to take the risk. What say you?!

Hmm...Now the inquisitor is siding with the suspicious Father against a man whose only crime is trying to make a living. The evidence we have so far is very week so I find it even more suspicious that the two of you would turn on Mustafa together without solid reasoning. It is not a merchant's job to record every item sold and who it was sold to. Perhaps the two of you, Fernando/ptdapen & Alexander/ImperialShadows are up to something and wish to remove the one person who could tell us who purchased these items. Perhaps you want him lynched before he remembers that it was you who purchased the axe...

You do realise that it's the most natural for us to feel that we are on the same side, since we are truly the only ones who can claim to be on the Lord's side, the best side of all. As for you accusing your wife, I missed that. I'm still not used to these names. Did you have a reason for that? She is one who hasn't made my list yet, so I'm curious why the woman you chose to marry would make yours.

Accusing the merchant is fairly obvious when he's clearly different and foreign from a country that does dabble in forbidden magic, knows how to write and sells witch supplies without remember whom to. Geez... good thing you aren't a sheriff or something in a town full of bandits, you'd probably let poor Molly get run over by a stagecoach. Wait... What?

My suspicion grows deeper with every claim that you are infallible.

Everyone has their suspicions....but sadly you are incorrect. I did nothing. Nobody bought me anything, because I didn't want anything. I have to say that I was a little quick, but I just wanted to make sure people knew where I was, so they didn't have to ask me. Hide? Me? I have nothing to hide! I am here to protect you! I vowed my life to this town, to help get rid of the damn witches, and all you can do is accuse me of stuff, that I didn't do! *Starts calming down* Ok, I guess I was a bit rash.....everybody is a suspect here, but it sure as hell isn't me.

Hey, since when was dressing like a foreigner a crime, hey? If you want to go on about foreigners, then go on about the Inquisitor, for in reality, the only thing we know about him is that he says he's here to clear up the town. Anyway, as Charles, has pointed out, it is not actually my job to record who I sell each item to. Do you think Martinus records each and every person he sells a loaf of bread to? No. Also, I'm sure many people in this town can write, including yourself and all the nobles. It's what comes of being rich and educated. Lastly, I do not think you can possibly blame me for selling "witch" supplies. If you want to look at things that way, then you could also say that the bakery and other food places are guilty of selling food to the witches, which keeps them alive. But that is just silly, isn't it, and so is accusing me of selling normal household items to witches. I can assure you that if a witch came into my store, then I would not sell her a thing, and would turn her out and hand her over to the mob. The problem at the moment is, however, that we do not know who the witches are.

Well, let's look at the suspects:

Soregro Sorrygrowth Serigo: is annoying to most *cough* everyone *cough* and is very defensive when it concerns being in the market when the items were purchased. Also, he blatantly makes disrespectful marks about the church and is a lazy soldier. He is very defensive in general.

The Father: jumps to conclusions a bit, is very much devoted to God (duh), points fingers, but doesn't want others to point fingers. Hypocracy, I think so. He is also a babbler.

Also, why is everyone regarding the parchment as such a valuable clue? The buyer bought the items- how would Mustafa be in possesion of a witch's parchment?

Who said it was a witches parchment? As far as we know, it was just a blank sheet of parchment. As I said earlier, all the items are just the normal stuff any merchant would sell, but in the current circumstances, certain buyers, aka unknown witches, could possibly use the items for fiendish acts. Do you understand now? Good. :classic:

Well, How about I bake everyone a pie. It's delicious and very good. It apple pie. I had to do something with my apples. Just because the other people and I went to the market, doesnt mean that anyone else could have gone to.

After a short break, the members of the town returned to the town square.

Before heading back to the meeting, Mustafa counted his profits of the day...

IMG_0990.jpg

He made note of the items that had been purchased...

- 2 Persian Rugs

- 1 Axe

- 1 Broomstick

- 1 Basket of Apples

- Parchment

Having written this down, he hurried off to the town square, where the meeting was about to begin...

CLUES! Clearly, someone who visited Mustafa today was buying witching supplies! Now, what do we know of the comings and goings of his shop? For one thing, Sabrina, John and Cassandra all did some shopping there today. For another, Mustafa should know who bought what, so tell us, turbaned merchant, who bought a broomstick and parchment today?
Hey look everyone, a clue! Finally! This here piece of parchment looks like the sort a witch might leave here. I must say it would be far to obvious for this clue to point to me, since I'm the one holding it, however I think that one of the three wandering around the market might have left it here. That's Sabrina, John, and Cassandra. Which one of you left this here? Hmmm? Or was it that other merchant who's name I have forgotten? This is very interesting, I think we may be on to something...

Opps, sorry, didn't see you there. Unfortunately I don't know who bought the stuff, but it must have been one of those three. John spent quite a bit of time here looking at my rugs, and Sabrina was here looking at other things, so it could have been one of them. The there is Cassandra too...

I just wanted some decent Arabian rugs for my house, Is that considered witchcraft?

A broomstick and a parchment....

Looks to me like some witches are getting ready with their prop.....

Mustafa, it must be one of the three, hiding in there... Why don't you ever learn to recognise the villagers' purchase instead of counting your money?

OOOooooo makes sense, kind of does...but seems abit far-fetched.

[OOC: How much longer is this "day" going to last?]

I don't know why everyone thinks I am annoying. I didn't do anything to make myself annoying. :hmpf_bad: Lazy!?! I am not lazy! Do not disrespect a soldier! I try to help you all, but you seem to not respect, what I do to you! Disrespectful remarks about the church? I would never do such thing, as I have said before I was referring to it as a place where I can pray and be safe at the same time. I am defensive, because I have to be defensive. ALL soldiers are like that! :sadnew: If we are in battle, we can't just stand around, we have to be defensive! BTW, Mustafa has a store, he's trying to sell some stuff to make a living. We all have to make a living. Sorry, for being a bit rash, its just everything is out of order. People are buying witch supplies, somebody is going to die tonight, and we have witches living in the town...its a lot to take in...I can hardly handle it, for I just recently became a soldier....please exuse me for a moment....while I go rest.....*Starts walking toward sleeping quarters...*

Anyway, what is that curious black contraption at the corner? Is it for sale? It would look lovely in my home.

Of course everyone has to make a living! That wasn't the point! The point was that Mustafa shouldn't have any piece of parchment with witch-related origins!
