You can also show s if you want. Also tell us the last one you bought.

Music ON!

I really haven't bought an album in a long time. My last one would have to be the two Three Days Grace albums last November for my birthday. I usually just listen to songs on the radio or youtube. :classic:

Quite a good collection here but not massive by a lot of peoples standards. We have about 485 cd albums and another 350 ish on vinyl that we need to convert to mp3 but it is a very longwinded process so we haven't done many yet, which is a great shame as some of my favourite rock albums from the late 80's need converting. I'd rather just by them again on cd but that would eat into my lego spending

I bought the new Oasis album last week: over all it's quite good, it has a heavier sound to it but still feels like Oasis

Soundsgood, I was thinking of buying it. I got Whats the Story, Morning Glory?

I've kind of tailed off on additions to my collection. I only really consider sub-€10 albums now, and I don't listen to the latest drivel on the radio - so I only have the recommendations of friends or music that they play that I like. I don't pirate anything, so I'm quite constrained - really the music business are idiots for being so tight. I don't think music should be free - but it should be relatively cheap and usable in whatever way people want (the reason I only buy CDs - although I've had one or two fake CDs that are not actual CD-audio but are instead brain-dead DRM data discs).

My first album was Oasis - What's the Story Morning Glory, and my latest addition was possibly Muse - Black holes and revelations. I have quite a lot of U2 CDs.

I'm too lazy to count to an exact number.

Do like me and buy a brand spanking new record player instead.

Nothing beats vinyl, except rock.

I've got some 400 CD's, 200 LP's and another 50 Albums bought online as MP3 files through iTunes.

I almost never listen to them though.

I guess that's how things goes when getting a kid, now we're listening to kiddy songs instead.

Some of them are actually quite well done - a few years back they rerecorded classic kiddy songs and brought them up to speed and date.

Can't help thinking that the beatles looks a little out of place in the rest of that list !!!!

We have a record player and are using it to copy the albums onto the pc as mp3's as it is much easier to press a couple of buttons than it is to find the lp you want clean it and put it on (and stop the kids from knocking the cabinet and making the needle jump). Most weekends we like to stick the media centre on ramdom and listen to the music from about 9 am till 6 pm.

I hate those kiddy songs - my other half has them in the car cd player when she is out with the kids but i turn them straight off if i am in the car and the kids have to listen to proper stuff instead but they like a lot of what we do anyway so it's not too bad for them.

I own everything of Black Sabbat too, but my favorite collection is my bruce Springsteen collection: Born in the U.S.A. was my first cd. And even while at this age I am not a huge fan of him anymore, I still listen to that album for good times sake...

We have around 80-90 albums altogether, from artists such as:

Metallica

Guns n Roses

Iron Maiden

Megadeth

Weezer

Dropkick Murphys

Dragonforce

and many more. The most recent album we bought was Death Magnetic, special edition by Metallica. Brilliant album and return to form after the mediocre St. Anger.

A Dropkick Murphys fan?! I thought I'd be the only one--going to go see them live on Nov. 19th and I'm veeeeery excited about it!

Er, back on topic--around 300 cds and 100 or so of those cassette tapes (boxed up in the basement). Latest additions were DKM's special edition Worst of Times and the new Dragonforce.

Well, got to admit I'm a music maniac. Besides collecting Lego, I also love collecting music. I've got several albums in multiple formats (CD, LP, Cassette, MD and Picture Disc). Last time I counted them, there were 1278 albums (just CDs) in my shelves, covering many types of music: classical, Ethnic, Heavy Metal, Pop, Symphonic Rock, Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Blues, Grunge and so many others... Favourite bands... The Beatles, Marillion, Genesis, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floys and Alice in Chains. :) Last year, I thought of taking some vacations in order to listen to all of my music.... I realized I needed 120 days (at and 8 HS basis) in order to do it!!!!

Yes, but putting the LP on the record player and placing the needle over it is just one of life's greatest pleasures!!!!

It's the best thing to do!!! My nephew is 4 and sings along Vertigo by U2!!!! He must have problems at scholl though... :sceptic:

Sorry about the double post...
