Great work Matn!

The color of the building is beautiful and I really love the little details in between the windows. Nice work on the interior as well, the brown tiles look excellent.

Great work Matn! Everything about this building is great, but my favorite part is the way the exterior turned out.

What do you think you'll be building next?

Thanks! :sweet:

Well, I'm not sure what I will build now. I have enough spare time these next two weeks (christmas vacation), so I'll think about something. Maybe the Tax Collector... But I don't want to break down my apothecary right away. Knowing me I'll have the tax collector ready tomorrow (but I also want to make a christmas scene, so, maybe).

And thanks again for the nice comments.

Just brilliant Matn. Im very impressed by the detail that went into the Apothecary.

Highlights for me include the round bricks, the corner shelf near the stairs, and the  tudor walls.

Could you tell me what set you got those windows from as I would love to get some of those tan frames and red brown windows.

Cheers for the Tumbnail pic too

This is a beautiful Torture room, though its a lot bigger than it should be in the Map. This module is supposed to be on a 16 x 16 plate not 32 x 32. I still love all the details, but could you have a look at the layour for future creations. If you are posting pics on EB they will need to be 800 x 600, though thumbs or links are cool. Thanks for making the tumbnails as well

Thanks, with pleasure. The windows came in this wonderful set: 4728 Escape from Privet Drive, let's hope you can get those windows.

And welcome castlestrike666!

Okay, sorry

I didn't notice it had to be on a 16 x 16 plate... . Sorry for that

I've also had a fighters guild in mind on a 32 x 32 baseplate.. Well, I'll first make one onto a 16 x 16, and then, as a moc for my own, expand it to a 32 x 32 plate :grin::wink:

I'll try to finish it today!

Don't get me wrong, its still a great creation worthy of display, its just a little big for the plan. I actually hoped some others had time to comment on it too and we may think of making larger modules sometime. Its just a lot of people don't have heaps of bricks and 16 x 16 modules are easy to create on a limited brick amount.

I can't wait to see how you fit a fighters guild on 16 x 16. should be sweet. Just remember to include the castle wall on the back of the baseplate

Cheers

Here's a first impression of the fighters guild

The wall still has to be built, and I have to upload the pictures of the interior, but this is something for tomorrow or this weekend..

There are also a couple of windows missing, but it's difficult to find the black ones..

Comments?

Looks sensational Kenny!

I wouldn't mind visiting there. The details are looking great. What made you put white plates in the middle of all the black and light grey walls?

Can't wait for the interior.

Wow! That fighters guild looks fantasic! The parts that really stick out to me are the way you did the path in front and the helmet on the roof.

Like ISC, I'm very excited to see the inside of it.

I'm going to try to get some building done tonight...maybe I'll try something tudor style like what you and Matn have done, althought it'll be tough to make it as good as yours!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been dropping in as often as I should. It looks like many of you have been busy recently, I'm loving all these new creations that are coming through. I won't comment on everything, but the recent ones have been great, in particular the Tapestry Weaver which I absolutely love! I think the design for the loom is ingenious, and the various different minifigs really do add to the overall model. Darkagent has some neat ones coming in now too, they're all really well designed. I love the tax collectior, he's a greedy old bugger isn't he?

Keep up your efforts guys, this team is fantastic! I'm just sorry I don't have anything to contribute yet. This is going to be one of the best castle towns ever! :sweet:

Aw thanks. I'm going to be working on the main gatehouse, however not for a month or so yet, as I have to finish my CCCVI siege entry in the next couple of days and then I'm going to be away for a while. You build whatever you want to next, as your first couple have been great! :sweet:

Thanks Dragonator! Lots of good ones are coming in ...and it's really fun to see what they are. Go Alpha team!

They're not white, but very light gray  All of my light bluish gray tiles 1x1 are in another moc.

So normally these plates are just temporarily, but if they fit, I'll leave them?

Here are some pictures of the interior:

No you don't have to change them, sheesh everyone must think im a tyrant

Its really only the castle wall that is standardized. The buildings are up to each person.

Hi everybody! I finished my Mystery Play just in time for Christmas!

title.jpg

The chandler and goldsmiths guilds have put together the nativity for the mystery cycle. The guy playing the angel does a good job of blocking the stage man who is dangling the star.

angel.jpg

Look closely at Mary and you will see that a man is playing the part...as was typical in those days. The three kings have crowns like kings would have in the middle ages since the people in those days had no concept of period costumes. The 3 kings have brought gifts, which allows the goldsmith guild to show off their crafts, while retelling the birth of Jesus.

play4.jpg

Here is a look behind the scenes, where you can see the man on the upper floor dangling the star, another man looking down at the play to make sure everything is going right, and then there is Mak the shepard who is waiting for his part in which he will steal a sheep and take it home and dress it up in a cradle like a baby gir, thereby stealing the show and making the crowd laugh...but wait how is this part of the nativity????

behindscenes1.jpg

You can see that the stage is on a pageant wagon so it can be pulled throughout the town. Actors can change behind the curtains under the stage.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!

Just so cool Lalande.

So many nice details, including the stage hands/ puppeteers. The Kings look great as does the baby. all the groovy curtain colours are brilliant.

What a treat for the townsfolk of EBCCB world

Presenting the Courtyard/Garden, whatever it is!

Thanks! :classic:

Great job Erdbeereis!

My favorite parts are the wizard's goofy face and the tree with the birds.

As Thrash noted in the main thread he and I came together to tackle the Church/Monastary. I had the idea to combine the two creations into a larger church. To make it a little less boring Thrash and I thought it would be pretty cool to make it a temple church, housing the renowned Knigth's Templar!

Here's what we came up with it....

title.jpg

Here is a shot of the Outside wall:

back1.jpg

Inside the priest leads mass for many of the town citizens:

church5.jpg

Meanwhile just through the door sits a tomb for a fallen knight:

tomb1.jpg

Why is a Templar guarding the tomb? Well the tomb is really just filled with some of the Templar's treasure:

coins4.jpg

Upstairs a couple Knights go about their day as usual, counting money and torturing orcs are all in a days work. If you look closely you'll see the Templar Seal on the floor:

turret3.jpg

Here is the whole structure with the back wall removed:

openback.jpg

From Left to right we have; The Priest, The Tomb, The Three Templar Knights, and our Orc Prisoner

templars.jpg

Hope you enjoy! let me know what you guys and gals think.

Great job posting the Stol!

Here's the custom decal I made for the Templar:

customtemplardecal.jpg

And here are two pictures of him with the decal on, one of which now appears to be Stols avatar:

customtemplar1.jpg

customtemplar2.jpg

Since it was a white torso, I just printed the decal onto clear window sticker paper and stuck it on the torso.

Hope you guys like the Church we did!
