Let me state that I wont be commenting on any Modules unless they aren't comp entries, in an effort to remain non biased for voting purposes.

If they aren't then I am happy to comment or critique away :classic:

Your Dyer MOC is brilliant, Waterbrick Down! I had thought about doing this module myself, but I'm glad you did it instead, as you have done such a fabulous job! I love the way the men are stirring the dye, the dyed shirts hanging to dry and the run-off stream going by... This is a module after my own heart, since it reflects crafts of the era so well. Keep it up!

By the way, I see why you wish he were on Beta, Thrash, since with his help Alpha is going to crush Beta!

Go Alpha!

Hi guys!

I'm back in business

Now that I know the results of the exams at school, I can start building again ;)

By the way, I passed for all of the courses this semester, and I'm the first one of our Marketing class

Let's start building now! :skull:

I finally finished my contest entry. Here is my Hatter's Shop! A lady shopper is examining the red hennin to decide if she wants to buy it.

title.jpg

This next picture shows the half-timbering on the side of the shop, and the thatched roof.

front4.jpg

Look at all the hats for sale! Here is a close up of the overly excited man selling hats, and the hat rack. There are lady's hennins, and men's liripipes, hoods, turbans and other hats with plenty of feathers. What's that man doing up above?

front11.jpg

Here's a top view. From bottom left clockwise: The hatseller, a man's feathered hat, a floral chaplet partially completed on the shelf, scissors, a barrel of feathers, a man on a ladder dying a hat blue, a boy on a ladder dying some felt for a yellow hat, a jester's liripipe on the shelf, a man hammering some lapis lazuli to make more blue dye (partially hidden), and the hat rack. The fumes from the mordanting agents in the dye must be pretty strong...

shop6.jpg

Who is that man hanging from the rafters?? Looks like he's mad as a hatter. Oh, wait, he IS the hatter...

Hope you enjoy my entry!

Great job Erdbeereis! I think that this is your best module yet. The details on the outside all look really nice and the interior looks perfect for a fortune teller! One of my favorite details is the way that you didn't push the roof tiles down...I've never thought to do that before.

Oh lovely, good job you two! :sweet: Good to see some new entries. I like your roofing effect Erdbeereis, very cool.

Unfortunately I wont be able to enter the contest, time is a bit of a luxury for me at the moment, but I will endeavour to get my gatehouse finished. Sometime. Eventually.

Great job Erdbeereis! The color scene is great and the interior is really nice too. The giant octopus on the wall is a really cool detail and the fish monger minifig is perfect.

It's a shame that there's all this great competition for the contest! Each day I see my chances of winning decreasing.

Just joking. I love all the new entries coming in...lots of good competition!

Fellow sirs - I haven't abandoned you! In fact I built the 'money changer' just before Xmas, but due to my last PC dying I haven't had a chance to post the photos yet (and having to quickly build an entry for the SW vehcle contest didn't help either!). I'll post 'em up soon as I have the chance.

Ladies and good Sir Knights!

After some delay I finally present you the grand opening of the EBCC money changer and merchant's guild...

"During medieval times in Europe, many cities and towns issued their own coins, often carrying the face of a ruler, such as the regional baron or bishop. When outsiders, especially travelling merchants, visited towns for a market fair, it became necessary to exchange his foreign coins to local ones at local money changers. Money changers would assess a foreign coin for its type, wear and tear and possible counterfeit, then accept it as deposit, recording its value in local currency. The merchant could then withdraw the money in local currency to conduct trade or, more likely, keep it deposited and use its clearing facility to conduct trade." ~ Wikipedia

Ye Olde Upper Floor ~ Merchant's Guild

The money changer is funded and administrated by the merchant's guild who possess the necessary financial strength and connections to run the organisation. A senior merchant takes residence on the second storey of the building. Here, Grandolf the Wizard pays visit to the establishment...

Wow! That's a really great module Pedro. The exteriors great, interiors great, roof is great...everything is great!

I also really like the way those hair pieces look on the minifigs...are those from Arealight?

Cheers Thrash, be sure to check the gallery when it becomes available :classic:

Aye, the hair-pieces are from Arealight. I've got a few of them in different colours and they look really good on your medieval/fantasy characters - amongst others.

Well done Pedro! If this is your first foray into Castle, you have set the bar quite high!

I love the roof, the exterior and interior. I will def check the BS folder too. The hair pieces are fantastic, the swept back hair is quite nice. I just ordered a few bits from Arealight, and will have to go back and have another look. If you have a chance to look at the list of unbuilt modules, you could help us finish the town off too.

Cheers

Great Job Pedro and Waterbrick Down!

I really like the way you used the historical information when making your MOC Pedro!

Waterbrick Down, My favorite part of your MOC is the actor practicing his lines, but the whole thing is excellent!

Go Alpha!

Great Actor's Guild Waterbrick. The two giant helmet pieces worked really nicely for the actor symbol. The interior is well done as well.

Nice work Waterbrick!

I love all your little details such as the playwrights coloured ink bottles, the table next to him with goblet and cheese, all the costumes in wardrobe and more! They all set the scene brilliantly

O2 Back Gate

img_0762.jpg

Exterior shot, I wanted to have the entire module done in the new grey, but ran out of bricks towards the top of the wall so I had to supplement with the older color as well. Most of the wall design was based off of ICS's Barracks module.

img_0814.jpg

Interior shot, after I had finished the main portion of the module I ended up having a few regrets, first you'll notice the hunting party is heading the wrong direction to get to the keep the quickest way but I had already designed the stairs so the party would have been a bit smooshed. Second, I still question myself if the back gate should have had a portcullis but I would have had to redesign the entirety of the top of the wall (not something I looked forward to). So this is as it is.

One of my personal favorite parts of the set, the Goblin Invasion Horde Surplus shop.

img_0786.jpg

The victorius hunting party has returned with the prize of their outing.

img_0772.jpg

However, I think the lord has another prize on his mind.

That's all there is folks see the rest of the pics on brickshelf when moderated

Next project is the wall under construction I think. Question, the Wall Under Siege module was still on the list to be completed but didn't *Jerry Man* submit that with his Cooper awhile back? Also, by the way, what exactly is the Lumberjack Lodge module?

Great work Waterbrick down! The windows on the two turrets look really awesome, and so does the troll hut. Great job!
