Oky Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I've looked around this thread and can't find anything so I'll ask. Are the TRU Big Toy Book sales the current sale prices (like the Troll Assault Wagon) or are they something else entirely? Also, any idea how long the current sale prices will last? The Big Toy Book sales ends on Nov. 22, and yes, that's the same sale.
dhaas06 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Walmart is going to have the King's Castle Siege for $50!
UsernameMDM Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Walmart has the King's Castle Siege for $50! Corrected. I picked up two sets last nite for 48.88$ + tax.
dhaas06 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 (edited) Corrected. I picked up two sets last nite for 48.88$ + tax. Really? I'm going there right now then, because it would be great to have one less place to deal with on Black Friday. Thanks! Edit: Well, I just got the last 2 at my local Walmart, 48.88 just like you said. Thank you so much! Edited November 21, 2008 by dhaas06
Dark Brickz Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 well its going to be a crazy black friday im hearing about some very good sales on lego's. ill let you guys know if anything pops up...
Dadster Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I'm tempted to head out there tonight, but I guess I'll wait until morning...
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Oh no King's Castle Seige for $50 at Wal Mart, I'm terribly glad but I'm afraid it's either that or the ISD, decisions decisions, however I do have an Castle seige already. But the parts, yum they are magnificintly amazing!! I guess I better sleep on it, thanks!
Trexxen Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Hey guys, anyone know if you can order the BF set (in this case the 6211) online for the discounted price at Target? I'm planning to get my parents to pick one up, but I doubt my mom'll be able to due to work D= - so my choices are either get her to leave money with me and have my dad take me (lol) or get it online (reasonable)... ~Trexxen
strider406 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I also picked up 2 castle siege sets last night. The unusual thing is that this set is supposed to not be marked down to black Friday for a two day sale. It isn't even marked as a sale just a normal price of 48.88. I wonder if Walmart made a mistake. I'm sure they mean't to not put it on sale till Friday to get some people not to go to target. Well I be at my local target Friday, they currently have 3 ISD's in stock. Thanks for the heads up on the castle siege
salty tbone Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Congrats to those getting the Castle Siege at $50. Stopped at two Wal Marts near me and they didn't even have space for them, let alone actually have the sets. Just as well, I guess, I've been spending too much money as it is.
Tohst Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 To add to the fun, Black Friday sites are saying Toys R Us is going to have 'doorbuster' deals. Thats when the sale is only early morning on Friday or Sat. 50% selected Bionicle ...interesting. 40% selected Lego (Star Wars, other) wait, Star Wars lego....40% off. Now into speculation corner. Toys R Us around me seems to have stocked up on the MTT and Jedi Fighter with Hyperdrive Ring. Those are my guesses for 40% off. They also have stocked up on all the current Clone Wars toys but I would bet thats just because they think they will sell well and they won't be on sale. But one can hope. If you're gonna be up at 5 am on Friday checking, I hope you find something you want to buy. Me, I'm telling myself I don't want to wake up and go...but I might, I just might. -Tohst
sockmonkey Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Hi all! First post! Anyway, I just picked up the King's Castle Siege today at Wal-Mart for $48.88 as they had a whole stack on the shelf. YMMV but it appears that some stores are putting it out already at the BF listed price. I'm tempted to pick up two at this deal. :) Good luck!

Interestingly enough the actual Black Friday ad says $50. Could this be a case of they didn't clear a clearance price of $48.88 out of the computers before getting the BF stock in? There is a chance that on Friday the price will go up $1.12 -Tohst
Dadster Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I picked up 2 - but 1 is for a friends 2 boys' that recently got into Lego. Unfortunately, they were in the 3rd of 3 WM's I checked...
slimninj4 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I went to the Walmart near me. None of the Castle Siege on the rack, I did not even see a tag for it. So I called over an employee and he went in the stock room and pulled a case (2 sets) out. I grabbed them both. He said they were taking them out over the next few days for black friday. Also stopped by Target and saw they have 70 plus boxes of the ISD on the top shelf. I will be waiting in line 5am friday to get in the doors just in case. I want two of them too.
Inigo Montoya Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I'm finding a lot of stores started running sales on a lot of black friday stuff early...was in best buy yesterday and they already had all their DVDs from their black friday ad displayed at the black friday price ($3.99). I suspect we'll be seeing a ton of stores with their 'black friday' sales starting early.
Buckshot Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Well, shoot--I thought I'd be the one with the exciting Wal-Mart news. Went to a Wal-Mart last Friday that quit carrying Lego except for bionicle a couple of years ago. Imagine my surprise when I spied King's Castle Siege for $48.88. They had two; I bought one. Sounds like Wal-Mart picked up a bunch of these sets and distributed them to a bunch of their stores. I hope all of you get a chance to score some sweet Lego deals, too.
Derek Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 FYI: the Walmart site said that the castle will be availible on Friday morning for the same price. Maybe they will give free shipping? You could go to Target and get the ISD (which may or may not be online) and just order this one online. -darthperson

Finally a good deal on the MTT! Watch out, clones, the droids are getting reinforcements! The Bionicle thing is kinda pissing me off, though, because I already got Hydraxon and ???? with Spinax for the complete price (and maybe even more). Oh well.
KinGanon Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Grrr... I thought I was going to be the first one to report on the MTT......
Derek Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 So I guess the MTT and ISD will technically end up being the same price...
Stash2Sixx Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 LEGO BRAND RETAIL STORES Friday the 28th of November Scratch Cards: While supplies last, people will get a scratch card when they get to the counter to make their purchases. Customers will scratch the card to reveal a 10%, 20%, or 50% deal. Customers are not allowed to leave the line to grab more items. What they walk up with is what they will get to use the discount on. For any other deals, you just might have to stop into a store that weekend...
posades Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Got my King's Castle Siege at Walmart yesterday for $48.88, thanks everyone for the heads up (they were on the top shelf, maybe 8-10 of them). Also checked out my local Target to survey what kind of stock they had for the ISD (probably around 5 stacks of 7 or 8) and to see if they had marked it down too, but the price checker revealed no such luck. Now should I get the MTT or ISD...
