Rescue From The Merpeople

101_0145.jpg

The Figures

101_0146.jpg

Dive Harry, dive!

Another cool uniform, and his double-sided head... Gillyweed is taking effect, it seems!

Krum with shark's head.

And without. No, it does not fit over his hair. The hair is included, though!

The merperson. Very cool. Simple, yet elegant, and I'm loving the hair.

The back.

A new face for Hermione.

... or two.

Ron's looking groggy...

And groggier.

The Set

101_0156.jpg

A nifty boat. Oars!

Yes... that is trans-green seaweed. And a red scorpion!

Push that to... I dunno... push the scorpion out? It sucks, anyway.

Octopus! And more.

A step pulls out, and a couple daggers are buried...

The back of the right side.

The main section.

Press that seaweed to shoot Ron and Hermione out of the structure.

My favorite part. Yes, that is a chef's hat.

The Final Verdict: 8.1/10

Figures: 10/10

Playability: 6/10

Build: 8/10

Pieces: 9/10

That completes my Harry Potter review series for now. Questions are welcome. Requests as well (although, I'm busy, so they might not be filled immediately).

Hope you enjoyed this series, and I hope you'll consider buying these sets - they rock my socks, and LEGO deserves your money for producing them.

Until next time,

Bloody Jay

Are those trans green flames? *satis*

Yes, two. :)

Wohoo! Me wants a dozen of that set!

Such a great parts assortment here (well, safe for the figs that is...Ron could possibly pass as a demented zombie though...)!

Question here: Is the pike thingy the merperson holds sand-blue or grey (well bley...)? Could be nice as a special weapon for RPGing...:oD

Thanks BloodyJay, fantastic review and pics.

*blurb, blurb* <= is currently being rescued from the merpeople ;)

@ General Grievous: I ordered them off S@H, except for Durmstrang Ship (languages sent me that).

@ Cutty: the pike is sand blue, but it also comes in dark gray and dark blay (Orient Expedition China/KK2: Ankoria). Also, I made a mistake when answering your previous question - there are THREE trans-green fire pieces. Sorry!

Thanks for the fast response BJ!

About that pike: with it vbeing sand-blue here it was my very reason to call it "special-weapon" in the first place, considering I have a good amount of that fine piece flying around in both dark grey and bley ;) ...

Another "Wohoo!" from me here! Even more trans-green goodness ^^

*cough, cough, breath* <- is now rescued from the merpeople...

This set is tempting. The Merperson and the Shark head are the main reasons. That shark head would be perfect for a Viewtiful Joe Gran Bruce minifig!

I wish TLC included the minifig of Fleur in this set.... but they didn't.

I like the colour combination of this set. The blues and the greens really work to depict an underwater scene.

The merpeople looks a bit fierce . . . I really like the yellow crab and the red lobster/prawn (or scorpion from the castle line). The transparent-blue jelly fish is cute too....... I didn't know it was a jelly fish until i read about answer from Bloody_jay to sam89.
