Posted October 24, 200816 yr As requested by Whitefang Here I have taken some pics of my 1950's/1960's road signs. So here goes! i have 6 signs that are in good condition with various different symbols on them. Here is the reverse... On the bottom of each sign there is a Lego logo appropriate to the time period.( sorry about the blur.) These signs are considerably smaller than the 1970's or 1980's signs. Unfortunately these signs are rather brittle... And one more thing...I have found a picture of my 70's signs that I had which are similar to Whitefang's... Thanks.
October 24, 200816 yr cool stuff. i never seen the 50'/60's signs b4. i had the 70's signs too.. but i broke all of it. I was a very restless kid back then.
October 24, 200816 yr First of all, let me give you my greatest thanks for doing up this super vintage review. It's wonderful, to provide us young collectors a different perspective of older LEGO sets which was pre-minifig era and sets like this are uncommon. In fact, these are the earlier TLG design which evolve over time. Never knew these road signs were so small built, compared to the 80s era. I remember the 70s road sign and those are in very good condition. Really apperciate you for doing up this lovely short review which will defintely give us a better overview on road signs history. Hey AzMean Azmin, long time no see. Glad to see you coming out of the dark.

October 26, 200816 yr Wow. Why are they so small? I saw this on ebay long ago, but now I'm glad I didn't buy it! I was going to put it in my city. They are very cool if your city is micro-size.
October 27, 200816 yr Are they yours Grimmer?Yes. I don't know exactly how old they are, but I think I'm the first owner. Sad to say, none of them are in good condition.
October 27, 200816 yr Author Yes. I don't know exactly how old they are, but I think I'm the first owner. Sad to say, none of them are in good condition. Try this?

October 27, 200816 yr Author To me they look like they just came out the box? There is a common fault with the doors being brocken or missing on the back of the blue transport truch so you never know captain

April 14, 201410 yr I borrowed Buttons original image.... The 1960-65 British LEGO Ltd. 232 spare parts pack boxes showed old style road signs with black stripes... The lower right roadsigns with white bases were those actually sold in the UK, Ireland and Australia. Those in the lower left were sold in all other locations. The irony is that the roadsigns shown on the box were never sold that way, and are unknown in any collection...
