Posted October 31, 200816 yr i like 10185 but i don't want to spend money buy one more 10185! I designed my own 2nd floor so as to make the building have 4 floors!!! the main color is tan brick with light grey and light green as highlight! Please comment!
October 31, 200816 yr That's real neat . The new floor blends right in with the others and has some great interior details like furniture. Good job .
October 31, 200816 yr Looks great. Hard to tell it's not officially part of it. So you had some of those new windows anyway? I wouldn't be able to do it because all my modern windows are from that set...
October 31, 200816 yr Benny, this is an interesting modification which you have done on your Green Grocer. It look exactly like an expanded version of the offical set. Its amazing. By any chance, if you have another orignal Green Grocer, perhaps you could place them side by side for clear comparison.
October 31, 200816 yr How did I missed it ? that second floor is cool , really , like Whitefang said, It look EXACTLY like if it was released like this, great job on it !
November 1, 200816 yr I'll echo what others have said. I think it looks great, while avoiding the boring, repeating look that many seem to do. Excellent mod, my friend.
November 2, 200816 yr Author I'll echo what others have said. I think it looks great, while avoiding the boring, repeating look that many seem to do.Excellent mod, my friend. Thanks for comment from everyone !!! I am happy to hear this positive echo!!!! For the windows, it is common to find in some lego parts shop in Hongkong, the price is around $US 0.7-1.0!! For the buiding color, i can't believe the tan and light green color can make this effect!!!! I have one more box of 10185, i may open it later but i don't have eought space to store it!!!!!
November 2, 200816 yr Yes, the others are all right. And your MOC looks very good indeed, now it looks like a real appartment building since before it wasn't high enough to be one. Congrats from me Benny ! Now the rest of your city. Edited November 2, 200816 yr by zorro3999
November 2, 200816 yr Looks really similar: It's done it's purpose. It's a shame the top fire escape is brown though.
November 5, 200816 yr Author [thanks! As i don't have enough black fire escape, i used the brown one to replace! I will try to improve it!
November 5, 200816 yr I noticed this topic a few days back but I didn't look at it as I thought "gee man, why mess with perfection?"... But I was wrong! Great job. As others have said the colours still work.
