Due to Itarias picture, I feel the sudden urge to start collecting a skeleton army!

And I even left many apart!

Itaria, I considered that head, but I was not that happy with it. I'd rather go woth the blank black head until Lego releases an appropriate head (hopefully). I had to wait until this year to finally get the correct hairpieces, so I can wait a little while longer.

All right! :)

Nice to see the Flesh Minifgs in this post. :sweet:

Well I will contribute to this glorious thread with my own army. I am particularly proud of my camouflaged anti-aircraft Dragon soldier.

(I will post photos of my real army later I just thought I would nip out to the shops and improvise until then.)

I will post pics of my (small) armies in about one week. They should have swelled considerably by then!

Here is my uruk hai and rohan army

Nice collection of Rohan soldiers and Uruks, but the weird thing is to have in that army so many Eomers, and so many same hairy Uruks...I recomend you to BL some helmets for them, and also create some other Rohan soldiers than those (you recicling 3 torsos) You can use some chainmail torsos from Vikings series or castle series which are good for Rohan soldier/rider...And also Y would use some more type of horses :D

Thanks for the tips. I like my minifigures in their original condition.

Since i bought 12 times uruk hai army and 3 times helms deep I ended up with alot of Eomers and Theoden.

I use Eomer as a elite rohirrim soldier and Theoden I use as a general (they need more hits to die then a normal soldier). I play with the minifgures like a videogame :p

But to spice it up it would be good to have some variation in the minfigures, I will consider this in the future. The hairy uruk vanguard is good as I see it.

3 battle of helms deep and 12 uruk hai armies? That must have cost you around 500 euros? I got to say, your armies are impressive! I only got 2 uruk hai armies and 0 battle of helms deep. Now that I see your armies I am considering to buy battle of helms deep and 1 or 2 more uruk hai armies. But first the money. Anyway, I love your armies!

There is my Uruk-hai army. It´s completed about 70 %. I´m still waiting for some pieces (armor, helmets, weapons) + I want buy more uruks. As soon as possible I will post the final version of my army :)

Nice army, what are you going to do with them? Giant battle? Or just letting them collect dust?

jeroenaa: Thanks. Well, my plans are to build an army of differents units - pikemen (36), swordsmen (32), crossbow-men(16), berserkers (8), banner-bearers(4), and special units like sappers and scouts (this unit is complete - those 10 uruks in the right corner), captains (4) and one general. Total number of uruks is 101 (but it would be nice to have an army of 1000 uruks :)). Now I´m on 77 uruks. The size of units is based on battle formations, which I want to make with them. I´m planning to buy Helms Deep, so maybe then I´ll make some battle scenery.

Here is my "evil" army:

Mordor Orcs, Gundabad Orcs, Orc Hunters, and Goblins lead by Azog and the "Necromancer". Yazneg and the Scribe accompanying them

IMG_2451.jpg

Brown and Gray Wargs, Moria Orcs, and Cave Trolls lead by the 9 Nazgul

IMG_2454.jpg

Uruk-hai lead by Saruman and Grima

IMG_2456.jpg

The whole army.

This collection is about 98% complete. I still want to get 4 more Mirkwood Elf Army sets for the 4 brown Warg and 8 Gundabad Orcs but figured it was close enough to complete for now. I will be uploading pics of my "good" army in a few days hopefully

Thanks! My "good" army isn't near as large as my evil one. I tried to keep the numbers similar to what they are in the movie (10 orcs for every 1 man). Right now I am sitting at about 3 for every 1. Hopefully I will get a chance to pull all the good guys out and get pictures of them up in a couple days.

That would be awesome! And pretty pretty please make a battle scene with them?

That army is missing some siege weapons. You need to get a few of those ladders on the go and a bit of black powder.

These are some seriously epic armies... Mine's made up of 4 Uruk Hai, 2 Moria Orcs, 2 Nazgul, and one cave troll . Plus a whole bunch of trolls from the castle line. I'll post a pic of them attacking my home made Helm's Deep soon.

Mine's only 4 Uruk Hai, 2 Gundabad orcs, and the Cyclops and Minotaur from the CMF line
