Dovchenko Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Some older pictures, but my classic army: From the Yellow Castle they march: And some restored Knights of the Yellow Castle: A very nice set up here, small but at the same time, it makes an excellent raiding force. Plus, it's difficult to get those figures. They're great, and using the Yellow Castle as a base, your large raiding force becomes a true army. And Tiny Pies, that's an awesome diorama! I'm begging you to rebuild it and give me more pictures! Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I do not have that much... Pssst! The picture is a link. Quote

Sandy Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 (edited) My army of Castle minifigs currently consists: Crown Knights - 2 soldiers from the Catapult Defense - 2 soldiers from the Crossbow Attack - 1 knight on a horse from the Final Joust - 2 soldiers from the Tower Raid - 1 knight on a horse from the Skeleton Tower - 1 knight from the impulse - 1 good wizard from the impulse - and of course 1 princess from the Skeleton Tower Total: 11 (and 2 horses) Dwarves - 4 dwarves from the Dwarves' Mine - 1 dwarf from the Mine Defender Total: 5 Undead - 2 skeletons from the Catapult Defense - 1 skeleton on a horse from the Crossbow Attack - 1 skeleton knight on a horse from the Final Joust - 2 skeletons from the Skeleton Tower - 1 evil wizard from the Skeleton Tower Total: 7 (and 2 horses and a red dragon) Trolls - 2 warriors from the Dwarves' Mine - 1 ogre from the Dwarves' Mine - 2 warriors from the Mine Defender - 2 warriors from the Tower Raid - 1 commander from the Tower Raid Total: 8 (including the ogre) I'm not an army builder, so I won't buy multiple of any sets. It'll also be a while before I can afford to buy new sets, since all the sets I don't have are on the pricey side (the two ships, the Battle Wheel, the Assault Wagon, the Skeleton Carriage and the Castle Siege). I will get the new impulses if I happen to see them somewhere, though. ;D I'm also going to get my old legos back in a matter of months. I don't have a car so I can't just go get them. I've got some Black Knights, Falcon Knights, Dragon Knights, Royal Knights and Wolfpack rogues there, along with the king from the Royal Knights, the Batlord from Fright Knights, two of the blue wizards from the Dragon Knights, a few ghosts, some old skeletons and two old dragons (a green one and a black one). That's about it, yeah. Edited June 4, 2008 by Sandy Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I don't have any of those knights, my oldest knights are the fright knights from the Night Lord's Castle.... Quote
KimT Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) At the Event someone asked me how big my army in the new Castle theme is... Quickly I gave an estimate. After coming home I've thought about it and now it's become an obsession to find out excatly how many Crown soldiers, Undead soldiers, Orcs, Trolls and dwarves I have.. Therefore without further I ado, I present: KimT's Crown army: (other fractions will be added later) Edited June 13, 2008 by kimt Quote
Plural Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 The title of this thread filled me with a type of fear that only a nude swosher could create. But, yeah that's a really impressive army you've got there. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Heh heh, the title also had me puzzled for a second. That's a nice army! At the moment, my crown army is quite small... I have one archer, three foot soldiers and two mounted knights. Quote
KimT Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Actually I've got an "extra" king, queen and wizard...but it looked akward adding them to the pic. I hope to post The Skeleton Army and The Orcish Horde tomorrow. KimT Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Actually I've got an "extra" king, queen and wizard...but it looked akward adding them to the pic. Yeah, that makes sense. Why aren't your soldiers armed? Quote
JimBee Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 the title kind of creeped me out... but nice army! I just love that green dragon! ill look foward to seeing your other armies as well. hopefully the elves will come. Quote
Opproperaar Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 The first part of the title - at first glance - confirmed the 'nude swoosher' title, the second part filled me with fear. I guess it was done intentionally Nice army, where are the weapons though? Or do your army commanders plan to lose many in the attack? Quote
Dovchenko Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Hmm... maybe 20 studs? Oh, you don't mean my MOC castle. Nice army you've got going there. Quote
Axel Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 That is so awesome. Puts my 12 man army to shame...and that's with unofficial captains in it as wel... Quote
Adam Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 I was scared like Plural for a moment, thinking, Oh my gosh, will he- never mind. Anyway, uh, nice army. Um, couldn't you have specified that it would be some army shots? Quote
Dragonator Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Um, couldn't you have specified that it would be some army shots? But that would take the fun out of it! Oh, and nice army! I don't know what everybody else is thinking though, what else would he have been talking about? Did you get all these troops from sets or did you buy some as extras? Quote

I don't know what everybody else is thinking though, what else would he have been talking about? Did you get all these troops from sets or did you buy some as extras? I got all of them from sets. A bigger portion is made from the impulse sets. I "collect" the new Castle theme and therefore I have at least one of each set produced so far. I hope to post pics of my skeleton and orc/troll army tomorrow. I am currently reconstruction them, but it has gotten too dark to take decent pics of it. KimT Quote
IceMan Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Niiiiiice looking Army there kimt! I just started collecting and only have 4 Crownies but I hope to amass an Army as large as yours one day. I really like the formations as well. Only thing missing from this Army to truly make it a threat is weapons. lol. Can't wait to see pictures of your Trolls and Skellies Army. I'd like to see more pics of your Crownie Army armed and dangerous. Take care! Tyler Quote
KimT Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Pics done and uploaded to my Brickshelf folder. So here You go - The Skeleton Army: Skeltons armed and ready for some fighting. KimT Quote
KimT Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 And here's the Orcish Horde and Dwarf detachment. As You can see there's a lot of work to be done. I need more weapons and helmest for the orcs and my dwarven detachment is waaaay too small. The dwarves are only picture with the orcs because I don't have so many of them. I am fully aware that they're not allied. The pics: DWARVES: ORCS: "Yeah! Me took diz from a ded warf" Enjoy Now that I've shown You mine - show me Your armies of the new Castle theme KimT Quote

KimT Could you make a close-up of the two winged skeleton warriors? I am kind of curious how you made them and where you got the parts from. Your armies looking nice! luckily the undead have 2 dragons or wouldnt stand a chance against your crown army ;-) Quote
