The Architect Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Gosh Deathleech, save some for the rest of us! Quote
MassEditor Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Here is some of the hoarde leaving the Black Gates from a MOC I built last year. morannon 2 by MassEditor, on Flickr Quote
InvincibleEagle Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 But WAIT! That's not all! What is that off in the distance...? Why it's an ARMY OF GANDALFS of course! That is one army you don't want to mess with! Quote
Infernum Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 @ MassEditor: That looks like both a great build and army! Any other pictures? Quote
Trunkbass Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 @MassEditor: Yeah, do you have more pictures? I love how accurate the shape of the spires is. Quote
MassEditor Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Hey, thanks for the interest! I made a new topic with a few pics, it's still not quite done though so don't mind the missing pieces here and there :) Quote
nivremis Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 This is one of the threads I check every couple of days and it's awesome the see the armies. Realize though the recent trend is understandably LotR army building, does anyone still army build non-LotR? What about "Custom armies"? Quote
h22chen Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I am in the process of building a Roman Centuria (with cavalry, archer and siege weapon support), got like around 70+ Romans. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 This is one of the threads I check every couple of days and it's awesome the see the armies. Realize though the recent trend is understandably LotR army building, does anyone still army build non-LotR? What about "Custom armies"? I'm slowly building up my Guilds of Historic forces. However, I'm creating figs based on the different guilds, so my "army" is quite varied, and full of my own "named" characters. I have a few zombie soldiers for my main Nocturnus Guild army, but that's about it. I'm more given to smaller MOCs, so I don't need lots of figs. I shall probably bricklink some more zombie heads and expand my army sometime soon though. Quote
Sigolf Brimabane Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Loving the Gandalf army, höhö. Deathleech's forces are amazing. I can't afford army building like that, but I have a small troop of custom "modern" Black Falcons to show some day. Quote
Jindrich Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) So ... here is my dwarven army with king. First I had an idea of uderworld surroundings, but I´m out of time. Here is the detail of king. The front design of marksman shields is made by my son. I have to write it here. Edited February 9, 2014 by Jindrich Quote
Virani Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Might as well show my evil army here, even though they are not all in one picture. But I really like this one. Quote
Kauaijohn Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I am in the process of building a Roman Centuria (with cavalry, archer and siege weapon support), got like around 70+ Romans. Would love to see this! Do you have photos posted anywhere? Are the Romans custom made? Quote
markus1984 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Update army`s and minifigs watch the complete album. markus Quote
Alfadas Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 That Dragon army is so cool! I love it! The others are great too. Quote
bachamn Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Wow some really impressive LotR armies here. I thought my army was respectable with something around 20 uruks, but this definitely puts things into perspective. Deathleech in particular... your collection is staggering! Quote
SirBlake Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I can't recall seeing classic castle figs with fleshie parts. I must say, looks pretty darn good. Nice work! Quote
h22chen Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Would love to see this! Do you have photos posted anywhere? Are the Romans custom made? All my Romans are from the Series 6 minifigure Collectibles, some are series 7 and 8 because they are officers and of course, Caesar! Unfortunately, I do not have photos of them yet, and they are in my home in Canada. It'll be the next time I return home that I'll be able to take a photograph of them. Hive Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I can't recall seeing classic castle figs with fleshie parts. I must say, looks pretty darn good. Nice work! I'm not usually into fleshies, but I actually the 2013 Dragon knights in the picture looks better with flesh than yellow... Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Impressive armies. I haven't seen too many System figures using Licensed skin tones, but I've always preferred Licensed skin tones. Although all of my yellow figures are my Modular town figures. I guess if I had more licensed skin tone of the classic smiley, I would probably change those also. I like the use of the chin strapped head for the Black Falcon soldiers. I don't know how accurate it is, but it looks good! Quote
chongcheng Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Finally built up all the skeletons that was bought ages back. And re-modelled the Skeleton leader. Skeleton King - he is slightly taller than a normal skeleton warrior now :D Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 That Skeletonking needsa Skele-steed! Love that dwarf army, but the crown looks weird on king... Quote
Kauaijohn Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 That is a lot of skeletons Where did you get them all? I have to say I'm curious about that, too. Quote
chongcheng Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 That is a lot of skeletons Where did you get them all? I have to say I'm curious about that, too. It has to be Bricklink. Of course if I can have access to the PAB website - should do wonders to the numbers. Apart from the head, the rest of the parts are easily available and can be ordered in large numbers too. Next up will be these Uruk Hais. Not as many as I wanted, but just got to live with it. Quote
Artanis I Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I like the skeleton king, those longer legs make him look in correct proportion. I've always thought that the skeleton minifigs look unproportioned with such short legs. Quote
