Venkefedo Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) Finally got around to taking pics of most of my "armies", such as they are... First up, the Dwarves: Next, the Evil Dwarves, aka the Wyrmaxe Clan: The Bloody Boars: Nefarious bandit Blackax & his outlaws: A few unaffiliated villains: A motley assortment of heroic adventurers: My orcish horde, comprised of Fantasy greenie 'trolls' and all of my Tolkien orcs (aside from the two Moria Orcs still trapped in their box) Last but not least, probably my favorite creations, my own little Goblin 'army': That's it for now! Got a few barbarians, some cyclopses and minotaurs, peasants, and a bunch of Green Dragons, Red Lions, and Crownies, among others, kicking around. More pics in my Flickr album Very impressed by the armies in this thread! Edited August 13, 2014 by Venkefedo Quote
CastleDefender Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) My warg hordes...hopefully can build more in the recent brown warg release. Edited August 14, 2014 by CastleDefender Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 My warg hordes...hopefully can build more in the recent brown warg release. Hello CastleDefender! This is certainly not your only armies out there! Do share your Battalions with us. See you around! Quote
Deathleech Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 My warg hordes...hopefully can build more in the recent brown warg release. Holy white wargs Batman! Is there any particular reason you have so many of the white version? Quote
CastleDefender Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Holy white wargs Batman! Is there any particular reason you have so many of the white version? Cheaper. Lol :) Quote
Chromeknight Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 some of my 'armies' on display at a show taken by another club member. (Hence not my photostream). Clockwise from top left, Dark dwarves (with steam knight), forestmen, dragons, trolls, skeletons and Necromancer, crown knights, orcs, minotaurs, dwarves (with Yeti), elves, legionnaires and werewolves. With Paladins, dragon knights and a vampire with thralls in the middle. The other end of the table with about 60 blue samurai facing off against red samurai and ninjas with other samurai. Shot of the middle for more detail of some of them. See my photostream for some games of Song of Blades and Heroes played using figs as the minitures. Quote
Black Numenorean Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 awesome armies! No words to explain what i think ^^ Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I actually rather like the white warg. I don't have to use it for a particular warg in the Hobbit, but just a generic more snow warg or something. So I like that idea. I hadn't thought to purchase multiples of it though. Perhaps I will for some northern armies. Quote
Deathleech Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Cheaper. Lol :) Hmm, interesting. Right now they aren't that much cheaper than the gray wargs, only about $0.80 a piece. The brown wargs are about $1.50 cheaper than the white though. Maybe you already bought all the super cheap white wargs out? Lol. Quote

My air fighting unit! There are some more sleeping in my storeroom, difficult to "wake them up" My favourite faction. Black Falcons! Fantasy troops! Quote
Black Numenorean Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 @ deathleach. In europe and especially in France, you buy 8 euros one only warg ( 6 usd) :( Quote
Tom Bombadil Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I bought it quite some time ago. Unleash the beast! My air fighting unit! There are some more sleeping in my storeroom, difficult to "wake them up" My favourite faction. Black Falcons! Fantasy troops! Sad day for the good guys! The Black Falcons will probably get roasted by the evil dragons while the elves are going to get pawned by the combined army of evil knights and evil dwarves... Quote

Black Numenorean Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) I wonder when i see your army, how lotr is not successful? Because i saw a lot of people who own huges lotr armies! Moreover, when i compare the sets lotr possessed with star wars sets on brickset , i don't see a huge gap Edited August 16, 2014 by Black Numenorean Quote
sahidko Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I wonder when i see your army, how lotr is not successful? Because i saw a lot of people who own huges lotr armies! Moreover, when i compare the sets lotr possessed with star wars sets, i don't see a huge gap. The problem is that i might not be the most representative sample. I've read the books like 10 times (including Silmarillion, Hobbit, Unfinished Tales, Children of Hurin) and i've seen the whole trilogy more than 5 times as well. I am not sure that globally is that many of us out there. Quote
Black Numenorean Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 SOrry i forgot to mention Brickset which include an huge part of Afol. Until now, Afol/ parents have paid for children Quote
