Hun Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 You can see here my Crown, Shadow and Skull knights lined up. These will all end up in a largish battle scene we're preparing for April. Quote
SWMAN Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 You can see here my Crown, Shadow and Skull knights lined up. These will all end up in a largish battle scene we're preparing for April. Very nice. I love the catapults and rock carriages. The Shadow and Skull armies are very nice. It is interesting how you changed the Crownie legs to blue. I have never seen anybody do that. I kind of like it. Quote
Hun Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) Thanks, SWMAN. This lot not only had to be collected, but I also needed patience to gather all the fig parts that I wanted to change (especially the new white and black plumes for the knights - only 26 pieces, still taking about 1.5 years to collect from at least a dozen different BL stores). The Crown army going dark-bluer than stock was not my original idea. I was inspired by Troy T. Moore's army, who went even further and changed all the arms too. And yes, I'd like to add that I also find inspiration in many of the others' armies posted here, as well. I especially envy TSL's Forestmen, and his good use of the KKI/Blacksmith torso. gogobig Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 djo, wow man very impressive, i am not even going to ask you how much money did you spit out for that dwarf collection haha. Just tell me the amount of dwarves. I have 39 (30 custom made, 9 original ones) and it cost me a fortune for those 39 haha. Only one suggestion, lose the golden helmets to only 2 (king and prince) this way there are too many golden helmets Quote
djo Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 @djo, Dwarfs rule !!! please fill in the blank sides thanks bro. keep recruiting the army. admission still open. djo, wow man very impressive, i am not even going to ask you how much money did you spit out for that dwarf collection haha. castlestrike666 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 (edited) My army is about 70-80+ soldiers big, with all kinds of factions (dragon knights, royal, ...) but pictures aren't available yet. EDIT: Big mistake! I've counted all of my knights, and I came up with a total of 180 men. Edited March 1, 2009 by castlestrike666 Quote

If you do have more id love to see some pictures man. Yes, Castle is one of my strong points - I guess. The 200 minifigs above was only set up for this particular wargame. I have a lot more - e.g. 10 attack boats w. 5 Marines each and the fleet is led by a Mediavel Attack & Scare Vessel Here you have my 24 Christmas Knights arriving at the Green Cathedral ...and...and... Most of my soldiers are in boxes and are not fit for fight - among other my 300 Skeleton Warriors... But them you will probably see next year in an upcoming project. Quote
Ratshot Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Wow some very impressive armies here, I wonder who was the best army Quote
BingoBrown Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Colonel, Your attack boats remind me of the Orcs crossing the river Anduin in the city of Osgiliath in The Return of the King. Cool stuff. Quote
gogobig Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Colonel, mad props for you. Absolutely love it. My pics are coming up as soon as I buy more weapons to put on minifigs (ran out of weapons ha-ha). Anyhow, what wargame are you talking about? I checked the website that you provided but it was some foreign language. Do you have english version of that site? Quote
Colonel Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Thanks, gogobic, I look forward to see your army The wargame is taken place in the closed forum of www.byggepladen.dk - and the strange language is Danish. Unfortunately you cannot register without being a paying member of Byggepladen, but the language will still be Danish. As guest you can write in the open forum where there is a thread in English. Lordofdragonss Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) And here more: Skeletons army. I really like "Undead Flying Demon Horse" :skull: You have right! One of Skeletons has hair and gun. It is my girlfriend sigfig. Oh, and at the end there are four black skeletons- archers. soc399 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Here is part of my castle army. It includes many of my older castle figs but not too many of my Fantasy Era figs. They are lined up behind my castle, so the angle of the photo is a bit odd. Quote
gogobig Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 'Lordofdragonss, I love the way you did your skeleton army, that variety is very sweet. I have a similar thing for my orc army, similar. haha! Anyhow, I finally got my weapons order today, so I spend about 2 hrs arming my minifigs. However, have you ever experienced the feeling when you just want to keep adding minifigs? I have easily over 1000 minifigs, but for some reason I want to keep adding more to each faction?!? Blah. Some minifigs still need work, but I might take some pics tonite and post them. SOC 399, it looks like you have several factions there, small but sweet and neat. I like it. Keep up the good work mate! Quote
shinohara Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 (edited) Hi everyone.... just want to post some pics of my lego army mostly coming from KK1 theme. Since i like "uniformity", i stick with this theme with some custom additions from brickforge and other themes. i love the idea of having actual armor for each minifig, so I used ninja armor to represent regular army, and armor breastplate for "elite" units Been slow in building lately as the price of KK1 minifgs is getting expensive nowadays and supply is fluctuate on bricklink that be all for now .. hope you guys enjoy the pics cheers Dickson Swordmen Spearmen Heavy cavalry (knights) King, Lord Marshall and royal guard The army Edited March 21, 2009 by shinohara Quote
