KimT Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Nice minifig scaled car Lasse. Hilarious presentation Quote
DarthPineapple Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 That was so hilarious! I didn't read anythin g yet and when I saw the first picture, and that set up looked familiar. Then I saw that almost vertical car in background and I immediately knew it was TopGear! You made everything so familiar to the show! And your MOC is awesome as well, so much functions in that little thing! Quote
Laureano Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Exelent work, every thing is very well reproduced... The converteble moc is awesome,,, congratulations Quote
Big Cam Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I'm not usually a fan of old bumps but with a newer Top Gear topic floating around, this got linked, and I have to comment on the hilarity of it. The studio looks really good, the broken up truck is even hanging from the wall. james looks exactly like he does in the show, that hair piece is perfect. The story is funny and very fun to read. Like I said, this is probably all but forgotten, but if you haven't seen this thread, then here it is. This is by far one of the most thought out Vig's/MOC's (whatever) ever done! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 This MOC was great and full of humor like the real show. I wonder if the creator car was cool or uncool ? Maybe we'll start seeing a lot more Top Gear MOC's now that it has been reported 'the Stig' minifig is on it's way. Quote
MetroiD Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Great MOC, awesome presentation, LOVED it Quote
L-space Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Best way of presenting I have seen in a long time. Cool MOC too, by the way. Keep it up. Quote
wooootles Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 My, this is excellent The presentation is nice! Now, one needs to do the episode where they build an amphibious car! Quote
JayDuck Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Ha, this is great! I'm glad to see it got bumped. Great details in the studio. Quote
markcornell Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Fantastic! I've just stumbled across this and thought that you (and others) might be interested in my facebook group - "The Campaign for Top Gear Lego" I'm trying to get as many people as possible to join in the hope that Lego will release some top gear themed sets. http://www.facebook.com/#/group.php?gid=214845002270 Thanks. I never even thought of something like that as a possibility. I'll take a look when I get home as FB is blocked at work. When I saw these pictures again, I had to just laugh, and smile, they are so well done, and the set is really accurate. Quote

I'm 99.999999% sure that this will never happen but I would like to see it. I would also join the group but I got banned from FB for no apparent reason Quote
markcornell Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) I'm 99.999999% sure that this will never happen but I would like to see it. Me too, whilst the UK market would do OK, there just isn't going to be enough money in it from other countries. I thought it would be interesting to see who agreed with me though. Got 81 people so far and don't even know who most of them are. I'm trying to make some minifigs and cars myself. It's a bit of a learning curve trying to make decent looking minifig scale cars though! Mark Edited January 8, 2010 by markcornell Quote
rriggs Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 It was on the news on the radio this morning that there may be a Top Gear film in the pipeline. "Around the World in 80 (crap) Cars". I think it's at a very early feasibility level at the moment but that could be awesome if done right! (It could also be very disappointing if done badly but I'll try not think about that yet!) Cheers Rog Quote
Zorbas Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 That was just great and funny! I am now more than sure that TLG's designers actually had James May in mind when they were designing that hair piece. Seriously. Quote
Rufus Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010  Thanks for bumping this - I'd have been unlikely to see it otherwise. Awesome take on Top Gear! Love the Hamster. Quote
curtisrlee Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Haha! I like the fact you made it Top Gear style! Quote
