CMP Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 . I agree that McDiarmid was a great addition, but Temuera Mason as Boba Fett just falls so flat. For all both of his lines? Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I disagree, the original scene would have worked just as well with your interpretation. The scene was altered to adhere more to the prequels. In Revenge of the Sith, the Emperor tells Vader that he killed Padme in his anger. Vader blindly believes this and screams the infamous "No". It's also worth pointing out that later day Lucas has no subtlety in his work. Look no further than the forced inclusion of the "No" in the Blu Ray release of Return of the Jedi. The altered conversation ends up being another example of how the prequels don't align well with the originals. We all know the scene was altered to adhere to the prequels, I was pointing out that this new conversation still made sense just as much as the original conversation, and doesn’t make Vader look like he didn’t notice Luke must be related to him like you said, he just didn’t discuss it with the Emperor before, probably because he was contemplating to conspire with Luke to overthrow the Emperor. dr_spock Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I think the bottom line is he is who has the power and money can re-edit history. Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 So true, we already live in a remastered special edition of reality made by some rich and powerful George Lucas like entities, and we all want the original version of history but the real life George Lucas will never allow it to happen because it conflicts with his artistic vision of history. Zilcho Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Just watched the latest episode of The Flash, and couldn't help but burst into laughter when Mark Hamil quoted Star Wars What did he say? I must have missed it :/ Quote

Jedi-Bendu Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Just received the news that I won tickets to see the SW Celebration opening panel (with Abrams, Kennedy and guests) at the cinema! (35 cinemas in 23 countries will broadcast this: http://www.starwars7news.com/2015/04/tfa-celebration-panel-to-be-screened-live-in-london-regal-confirms-tfa-trailer-with-aou.html) Only way to get in was to participate in a contest; you couldn't buy tickets....and I'm one of the winners! AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Been thinking about EP7, and not sure why I have changed my mind towards EP7, but in a way, can't wait. Perhaps the only thing at the moment (including PT/OT) that is keeping that Star Wars fan in me alive. And in fact, hope to see where this new era takes the fans. Quote
CMP Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Congrats. Celebration is a pretty awesome experience. Quote
Tariq j Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Congratulations, the luck is strong in this one... Quote

Oky Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 It sure is! That last scene gave me goosebumps! The more I see of this film the more excited I get. By the way, if you want to deeplink a youtube video, you need to remove the "s" from "https". Quote
K-Nut Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) I think I peed a little. I was a little annoyed that it was just another teaser, but the better footage and Han () made up for it. Edited April 16, 2015 by K-Nut Quote
HJR-Holland Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Curios that Luke says 'my father has it' instead of speaking in the past sense (had instead of has). So Anakin is still around? Quote

Tariq j Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) That was awesome, its great to hear more about the film. Its funny because Han Solo's costume looks basically like Indiana Jones. Edited April 16, 2015 by Tariq j Quote
mysteriouspi Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Curios that Luke says 'my father has it' instead of speaking in the past sense (had instead of has). So Anakin is still around? I'm assuming they did that to mirror Luke's nearly identical line in RotJ. It likely has little to no effect on the film. In other news, my excitement level is about HEUGSLGNQIPEHGOWSBGHLJEBGQIHGLEJGADSGHLJGHEW right now. Quote
BrickG Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 The line is present tense because it's literally the exact line taken from RotJ. Play them side by side. They just cleaned up the audio a bit and edited it (including taking out the word "and"). Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) I boarder line cried a little bit there... 'Specially the opening with binary sunset. Wow. Feeling better then ever about this movie Edited April 16, 2015 by Im a brickmaster. Quote
