dr_spock Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Nah. He had to die to establish Kylo Ren and raise the stakes. Like father, like son. Han shot first, Kylo sabred first. Quote
CMP Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Like father, like son. Han shot first, Kylo sabred first. I can't wait for the special edition where Han shoots Kylo point blank, misses, and THEN gets stabbed. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 ^No no no, that's not how it's going to be. Han is going to actually shoot Kylo, but he will dramatically reveal a bulletproof vest and THEN stab him. It is the George Lucas way! Quote
Tariq j Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 and then a CGI Dewback will walk across the screen Quote
Junior Shark Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Anyone reading Bloodline, by Claudia Gray? I'm in the middle of it, so no spoilers, but I'm really diggin' it so far. The Barnes & Noble version of the book comes with a pretty cool poster. Quote
Forresto Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) Anyone reading Bloodline, by Claudia Gray? I'm in the middle of it, so no spoilers, but I'm really diggin' it so far. The Barnes & Noble version of the book comes with a pretty cool poster. Not yet but i'm glad to hear it's good. Without giving away spoilers (if possible) does it do a good job talking about the universe, like political state and factions, in the time between RotJ and TFA or is it very focused on Leia? Artanis I Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 One of my favorite parts was where Finn told Han we can use the force and Han said that's not how the force works and then Chewie says something and Hans like, oh you think your called? *Cold That's the sort of thing I'll miss the most Quote
ChiefPie Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 *Cold That's the sort of thing I'll miss the most I thought it was called.. Anyway, yeah the Han Solo lines are definitely what I'm going to miss a lot. Quote

Junior Shark Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Bloodline gives a pretty good picture of the state of the galaxy between RotJ and TFA. You really get a sense of the incompetence of the New Republic, especially the Senate. The legacy of the Empire.... weighs heavily on some. That's all I'll say! My one gripe with the book so far is that you don't find out what planet Leia represents in the Senate. You hear what planet every other senator besides Leia is from. I mean, it's not like she can represent Alderaan. But Leia is definitely the focus of the book, so don't read it expecting something else. There is frustratingly little on Luke and Ben. Quote
ChiefPie Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Ah ok so it is cold. I've seen the movie only twice so far. I guess I should listen more carefully to what they actually say. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I would guess Leia represents one of those governing planets that gets exploded in TFA. I don't even know what they are, other than Coruscant Wannabe. Quote

N-4K0 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 The First Order wiped out the Hosnian system, as ChiefPie said, including Hosnian Prime, the "Coruscant wannabe" housing the New Republic. Quote
Junior Shark Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Finished Bloodline last night. No one's read it? I reeeaaally need to talk about it. Unless y'all are fine with spoilers.... Quote
Forresto Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Im not sure ahout anyone else but I am 100% fine with spoilers. I have not read it and im writing a book myself so talking to people is how i've gotten most of the new canon stuff. I would just put the text in spoiler brackets if you want to talk about it. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Been trying out the Star Wars stuff at Disneyland right now. Getting to hug Chewbacca is very satisfying, it's like hugging a 7' tall dog. Quote
ChiefPie Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I'm fine with spoilers also it was just announced that there will be a 7 minute Star Wars show video tomorrow. Can't wait! Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Who wants a new interview? https://www.starwarsawakens.nl/interviews/exclusief-interview-dilu-miah-creature-performer-the-force-awakens/ This time, I asked TFA creature performer Dilu Miah a couple of questions... Quote
Forresto Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Star Wars Rogue Potential Spoilers after the link. Director Krennic is a fascinating character, director of the Imperial Military. I suppose the uniforms of the ISB are no longer canon? Or maybe the ISB is like the SS? I feel his character is meant to fill the void of Grand Moff Tarkin as Peter Cushing is clearly no longer alive. Quote
Junior Shark Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 (edited) Wowzers. So who's gonna be the first to MOC up a TIE Striker and that new Rebel fighter? Edited May 17, 2016 by Junior Shark Quote
