FreeBee Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I posted these digital Mocs in anther thread but didn't get any reactions on it. I would still like to know what people think of them and if instructions are wanted. Any comment is welcome... Quote
Guss Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 That's some nice minifig versions ^^ I love the 5510 , too cute ^^ What I suggest is to take a picture of the model once built, just next to the original model team, I should be fun ^^ Quote
tedbeard Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I posted these digital Mocs in anther thread but didn't get any reactions on it.[snip] Any comment is welcome... My honest reaction would be: these are really nice but they are not in any way shape or form "model team" MOCs. Perhaps you would get more or better reaction if they were accurately labeled. Quote
Freddie Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Digital aside, these are nice. I like the hoods on the trucks, the three-wide constructions gives a nice shape. If you haven't used any unavailble pieces, you could give us the direct links for these at S@H, or at least the links towards the models themselves. Quote
Aliencat Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) This is awesome Freebee, those are some of my favourite sets from my childhood. It's great to see them in the scale of cars that I used to build/have/play with in my childhood as well. Some MOCs full of nostalgia for me :) Excellent work! My honest reaction would be: these are really nice but they are not in any way shape or form "model team" MOCs. Perhaps you would get more or better reaction if they were accurately labeled. I think you misunderstood, these are Classic Town scale remakes of Model team sets 5510, 5571 and 5580. That's also what the title says. Edited November 7, 2008 by Aliencat Quote
Big Supie Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I like the two trucks. Good job. Instructions are welcome. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 These are 5 stud wide, that doesn't break the classic rule of 4? Well in any case they sure look classic and are great models. Quote
Dennimator Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Very nice, especially the 5510! Do you mind posting instructions on that? Quote

OK, now I get it. Might have been nice to have that info in the first post as I had no idea they were remakes nor that they were based on actual sets. Quote

Landlubber Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Sweeeeeet!!!! Hell yes we want instructions. I saw these while doing a quick browse a couple weeks ago and managed to find the trucks on Lego.com. I didn't have LDD installed though so I couldn't download. You've excelled with these models. I'll definately build at least one of each for my town. Only 1 thing left to say. Do the 5590 whirl and wheel super truck!!!! Quote
