Siegfried Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 They work very well together. I didn't realise that the lights (?) were helmets. I think the whole turntable as a texture is getting old fast, but maybe that's just me... Are you working on a surface rover? I am, but I haven't made any progress for months. Your MOC reminded me instantly of this particular theatre, Hinckley(39?) Indeed it does! Quote
Teddy Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Dear Hinckley, your MOC is really impressive. I've been struggeling with the town plan as well. I love it, but the scale just doesn't fit with the other modular buildings. Although, I don't have a town layout like you I display them side by side. The first post instantly reminded me of the Tuschinski Theater in Amsterdam (as was pointed out by Simmonwillems). The intiriour is great as well. Just only compliments from me. Kind regards, Teddy Quote
Hinckley Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 I think the whole turntable as a texture is getting old fast, but maybe that's just me... But I used it in a different way this time. Half of them are covered... Are you working on a surface rover? I am, but I haven't made any progress for months. That is! I started it for the block block contest and it's been sitting there ever since. I think it would be easy to finish up. I just haven't had the time... Quote
Tijn Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 there is a theater in this gallery http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=11398 that might give you some inspiration ? Quote
Siegfried Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 But I used it in a different way this time. Half of them are covered... Don't worry; this is still 10 times better than anything I could do. I've started on a building several times but it always looks like a 10 year old made it... But seriously, even the V-19 used the turntable trick... just like inside-out tires it's been done to death. That is! I started it for the block block contest and it's been sitting there ever since. I think it would be easy to finish up. I just haven't had the time... In January my time should be better... but I'll talk about this later via PM. Quote
JimBee Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Wow! It's wonderful! I love the outside detailing, like the rebel helmets used as lights, and also the interior. One of the best modules I have ever seen. Quote
