But how many pieces does the ship have? I don't remember, sorry! Oh yeah, and I just think of something else: how many CANNONS does Brickbeards ship have? I can see three (2 in the mid + 1 one the bridge ???) Is that correct or does it have five cannons? I think that is has three cannons.... Excellent pics Lego12, thanks for sharing! Your welcome! Great Pics Im getting the pirate ship by mail!Wheres the big pirate base? It wasn't there..... Thanks! I shall be watching the Academy's forum for your review(s). Your welcome! Ok, cool. I just finished building the fort and its beautiful! I have school tomorrow, so if I can, I'll start the review. I'll build Loot Island tomorrow as well! Edited November 10, 2008 by Lego12 Quote
Erdbeereis Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Thanks for the pictures Lego12! I think I'll going to wait until these come out near me or on S@H to buy them though. I am very excited about all of the new pieces and minifigs. Can't wait to grade your review! Quote
hollisbrick Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Wow these are great, a bit over priced IMO but I cant wait to get my grubby hands on them Quote
hollisbrick Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I'm thinking we'll need to rake out between $120 - $150 for Brickbeard's Bounty, $75 - $95 for the Imperial Fortress, about the same for the pirate island, the kraken about $45 - $60, a little more for the island, $15 - $20 for Cannon Attack, and $5 for the impulses. I hope I'm above though... Well the impulses will deffinately be $6. I think your deffinately wrong about the kraken, lol 45-60? 20 for the cannon attack? Dont worry mate I think your way above Quote

jeroend Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Hi there everybody, Thanks for all those great pictures...... But can somebody make a close up from the Governour of the fort (fron and back of the torso)??? Already many thanks!! Cheers, Jeroen Quote
The Rancor Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Why are these already released in the u.s. and not anywhere else? Cheap prices (compared to the rest of the world) and early releases?, come on! Why TLG?, Why? Does TLG hate the rest of the world or something? If I'm going to have to wait much longer and TLG just switches $ to € sign (or worse) I'm not sure if I'll get (all of) them. SECONDED (Especially the part about changing $ straight to another currency (€ or £)) (Anakin's Jedi Starfighter anyone? (£20 and $20)) Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 10, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 10, 2008 Seeing these new pictures, here are some thoughts: - The new fortress is modular . Let's hope in the future more sets become available which can be attached to it. - The hull of the new ship is much better than what I original thought! It will be extremely useful for MOCing. - The new palm tree looks good, but I'm not sure we needed a new one. Here's a selection if pictures which I find interesting: Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Thank you very much for these new pics, sir dano and bonaparte! Like already mentioned when I saw the first box pics - the new Pirates sets are (despite from that treasue island and the raft) awesome! :pir-wub: It's a shame that I haven't got enought money to buy and enough place to store them - otherwise I immediately would buy them! The soldiers' fort and the pirates ship are - supposably since they look and are very classic designed - the sets I like the most. Of course the fort is for us AFOLs much to little - but be aware that it was surely mainly designed for kids (and the price isn't that high, too). But for balance there are some really, really nice additional things hided in this set - e. g. the little bridge . The pirates ship looks like a re-desgin of the Black Seas Barracuda - great architecture, all classic elements and even a piratess . Klaus-Dieter Quote
cagri Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) I'm drooling! How am I going to pay for all these beauties :( Edited November 10, 2008 by cagri Quote
fenrir Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I think those sets are realy good. but..... I don´t like the skulls on the sails of the pirate ship. Quote
VBBN Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I watched the movie "The Corssing" in History today. How apropriate... I want these. Now. Give them to me.... I know what I'll be saving up for now! Quote
Razzer Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) It's nice that there is a new palm tree piece, but I really don't see the point of making it bigger (oh wait it's not new, apart from the colour ) Brilliant that the Port is modular though, as there could be additions! Best Pirate Sets EVER! (This may be slightly off topic, but does anyone know whether you have to have a disney ticket to get to the marketplace with the Lego Store, I'm going t' Florida in April) Cheerz Moose. Edited November 11, 2008 by Razzer Quote
Cameron_Talley Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the "new" Palm tree just the same Mold as was used in the 4+ Pirates theme a few years ago? So far these sets look great....lets get some detailed reviews! Quote
Ricecracker Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Anyone else notice that the hook on the captain's arm "magically" switches sides from the set to his photoshoot Quote
darkrebellion Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 When the first pics of this new pirate line showed up in the internet I wasn´t so excited (I think this is because the golden age of the pirates sets took place long time before I start collecting in 2003 ) but looking at the new pics of that fort I just think I need them NOW !
