mania3 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Hmm, there is the Freeze ray frenzy set, I would think that would have something to do cyrogenics. Lego isn't exactly known for their red herrings. Quote
Algernon Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Modular jail cells are like the defining feature of Space Police... I'm sure that's what they are. Also... when is the toy fair? Quote
maiq the liar Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I take offense. You imply that if the fan base does not all agree that everything Lego does is perfect, there must be something wrong with us. I think the "Space cars? Yuck!" response that many fans are having is totally understandable. no, i didn't mean EVERYBODY. and i probably should look closer before i post. i have a very black-and-white person. (not like skin color, obviously) Quote
Batbrick Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 HA! Oh damnit! Not again! Last time it was Bratbick! Oh no I have a new title! The shame! Batbrick Away! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 so any new pics for these topic? If someone had, I'm sure we would have seen 20 links by now. Just look at the Star Wars forum. I'm looking forward to this line very much. Finally a good-looking new space theme. Quote
Algernon Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Meh. The first scans were exciting, but now I really just want to see the sets. Quote
mania3 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I assume we'll be seeing them soon enough. What, with the Toy Fair coming up and all. Quote
fubuking Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 here is a link to some new pics of the 2009 with 2 of the smaller space police set http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=363702 and i must say they look awesome Quote
Mirandir Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 here is a link to some new pics of the 2009 with 2 of the smaller space police set http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=363702 and i must say they look awesome Yay! Space police impulse sets. And it seems like there is a black classic airtank in 8399. Quote
Brickthing Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Space Police dog is awesome! I can put up with the flick-fire missle. And the cyclops alien looks neat too, although it's a same it's yellow skinned. I prefer aliens to have as little resemblance to human mini-figs as possible. Quote
Algernon Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Liking that cop minifig... the dog is neat too, very cool concept. I can't really tell WHAT the heck the other one is all about... Quote
CP5670 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The airtanks are good to see. Although it seems a bit pointless if the helmet is not fully enclosed. On a side note, some of the Creator sets look fantastic, especially that car transporter. The Technic front loader looks interesting too. Quote
Algernon Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Yeah, and the Power Miners are really disappointing. I hope those are prelim. I want to see the Agents, too. Quote
mania3 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Yeah, and the Power Miners are really disappointing. I hope those are prelim. Here we go again. Power Miners can't get a break until official photos are released. Quote
ReZourceman Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Hahah. Yeah those look pretty cool. I like the look of them a lot. This has just whet my appetite for the main sets! Quote
mania3 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The police officer figure reminds me of the gear the police wear in the film The Minority Report. Quote
Freddie Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 (edited) I hope those are prelim. The big stamp smashed across the images, saying "CONFIDENTIAL: PRELIMINARY IMAGE" does hint at it, yes. So far Space Police is gearing towards becoming a great new theme. I'll be picking up those two impulses for sure, just to get some variety with in my minifig collection. mania3 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Does the Space Police officer have printed legs or are my eyes deceiving me? Quote
Batbrick Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Does the Space Police officer have printed legs or are my eyes deceiving me? No, he does have printed legs! Gotta say I really like these, I still hope the final figs look a bit more classic, but the return of airtanks and the space dog are great. The second fig I'm sure is also Space Police, as it has the same "base" background and looks to be human. Batbrick Away! Quote
Algernon Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The big stamp smashed across the images, saying "CONFIDENTIAL: PRELIMINARY IMAGE" does hint at it, yes. My eyes must be getting older. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 New space police seems even more promising, although I must say I'm quite glad the power miners are prelim pics, those are disappointing, but if the current sets say anything, they should get much more refined. Quote
Asuka Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Space cop dogs on! What a nifty little set... Quote
Algernon Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Space cop dogs on! What a nifty little set... I quite agree; the concept is original and I think it's quite telling of what we can expect from the new Space Police. Quote
