And the reason for reserving a whole line for a limited region would be ´cause TLC isnt´t interested in earning money anymore, huh..? *huh*

Wouldn´t make any sense, would it?

no it wouldnt

although TLC didnt make the aqua-riders sets availiable to some countries..

now why did they do that? didnt they want the money?

TLC´s distribution policy is indeed often not very understandable when it comes to certain sets and certain countries.

That´s for sure not fair and a subject to serious anger. But here we´re not talking about some countries... we´re

talking about whole continents... that seems a little weird even for TLC. :look:

Who is Ian Bluemoose anyway? I tried to find him on EB but without success. I would like to know if this information is reliable.

I find it rather strange, of this is really true. As a european I am alright with not getting Arkham Asylum, some Agents sets, changed Dino sets and so on. But a whole new product line that looks way better than Mars Mission is just not there?? I was really excited about this. I knew I gonna get the Hoth thingy and most of the Indy sets for my collection, but Space Police was just awesome and I was truly freaking out on these! The minifigs, the ships, all of it!

Anyway, I know there is ebay and bricklink, but the postage makes it much more expensive and it is just not the same felling as buying it in a shop and one set after another, what I prefer..

:cry_sad:

when i found out that the A_R line wasnt coming here i was very angree but i was mostly confused as why one theme gets world distribution and one dosent.

i agree with you and i am sure (well mostly hoping) that this will come to europe

even if i dont like the sets all that much i would still want them to be available here. (and who knows i might get one to check this out)

lego put a lot of money and time into this theme and i am sure they want to make something out of it

the theme not coming to europe makes no sense.

Apparently SP3 isn't coming out in Europe...

So, last time this happened if I'm remembering correctly was Vikings and Dino Attack where they weren't going to release Vikings to North America or DA to Europe. Lego eventually changed their mind and Vikings came to NA and Dino Attack was modified for European sensibilities.

Hopefully, thats the case again. Both for our European friends and also because non-worldwide lines just don't seem to last as long and I want the return of space to continue full speed ahead.

So, does Europe get something this time in place of SPIII? I mean besides Castle Advent calendars. As awesome as that was it hardly compares to a whole line.

I agree that TLC seems somewhat arbitrary about it's theme distribution. Perhaps they don't believe SP3 will sell well enough in Europe to make up for the costs of distribution... which seems highly unlikely... maybe they want to test the product in North America before marketing it worldwide?

It has happened before, although there has rarely been any logic to it. The Blacktron Renegade, most of the Unitron line and all of the Roboforce and Aquaraiders sets were US only. On the flip side, the entire 12V train system was Europe only.

That could be. There have been quite a few cases where they released the same sets in some countries a year after other countries.

It is being reported from attendees at UK Toy Fair this week that LEGO representatives on the LEGO stand have been telling visitors that SP3 is a North America release *only*. They say that there are no plans to release the theme in Europe or anywhere else, other than USA & Canada.

I can honestly say I am very disappointed

Ian

EDIT - just a thought; Toy Fair is targeted at toy retailers, and it may be that SP3 won't be made available to retailers outside of North America, but *may* be available via the LEGO Shop@Home & LEGO Brand stores. Maybe.

And where are you quoting this from? I'll make this easier on all of us. I'll ask someone at TLG...

Bluemoose, a Brickset moderator. If you're questioning my sources, question him.

Hmm... And I thought, the fact that Lego reduced the price of all Mars Mission Sets at S@H would be a good sign for the upcoming SP3.

Hope we Europeans will get SP3 sometime.

it's probably a time gap thingy. like how the pirates theme is not retailing in aus/nz now but coming later in 2nd half. most likely sp3 will retail 2nd half in NA and early 2010 in europe? just a thought...:tongue:

I am and I do. But in the meantime, I love you. And I will no matter what the verdict. Sorry if it seemed like I was attacking you. I kind of was, I've just seen rumors perpetuated a lot through the community, so I like to try to stop them before they go too far...

I think it's just a case of sales representatives not sitting on all the information - if they don't have any the default answer is "no". For some reason, the three most powerful words in any vocabulary somehow doesn't exist in biztalk: "I don't know" i.e. "We don't have any information on that".

I'm not dismissing the chances that we'll get SP3 in Europe. And this is further backed up by pig.

Yes, it would seem a bit strange for LEGO not to release this update of their space line. Lets face it many fans having been calling out for this for years but with the Star Wars line covering this area very well for the fewlast years, space has been put on the back burners. As a AFOL and big fan of Star Wars I must say that is one line that I am looking forward to. So, I wait for baited breath to hear the outcome of this, but at the moment I am more inclined to believe that some miss-information has been passed along the line due to a lack of knowledge.

Ah, you´re right of course, although AquaRaiders´re available at least in some countries, there´re still some in the shelves of my local TRU.

Seems like I suppressed these sinister memories... :cry_sad:

However, I really hope that these creepy times´re gone and´ll never return... AFOLs may´re well able to get sets via eBay, but there´s

something just rotten to the core with the some kids´re more equal than others scheme...

I wouldn´t belive that rumour.

And I won´t believe it for sure. I mean, can you think of this:

(trooperdavinfelth´s) little Sammy: Mammy! Mammy! Lookit the cool SpacePolice sets! Can I play with them, can I, can I?

And the coloured girls TLC say: No, you can´t...

Not the very best slogan ever I guess...

Well, Finnish trader catalog has premilinary pictures of the sets, so I think that those come to Europe.
I just got confirmation from LEGO that Space Police is released in Europe in august. At least it's released in Sweden in august.

Sounds very good to me indeed, thanks!
