Mirandir Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 That set is very interesting, however I can't really tell what the hell it is...Nice find though! That would be Squidmans Pitstop. However They've seem to have changed it a bit from the prelim I saw a while back. Then it was built on top of a white, or light bley, version of this baseplate. The only real thing I like about this base is that trans-red canopy on the bad-guy-spaceship. I like the other "limited edition" set much better. And no I won't tell you anything about it other than I think it's one of the best in this first lineup of SP III. Quote

I'm quite excited for that one. Quote
Asuka Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Thanks for that new pic of Squidman´s Pit Stop, whung. It looks quite fancy and like a curious ragbag of parts, but it seems also to play a little with the design of the Fifties... hmm. It needs some bigger pics to say more... Quote
MarcusV3 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 (RANT)Personally I'm kinda scared about max security transport, because of the word Transport. I really want some bases or a non-cops and robbers scenario. For me at least "swooshing" the sets around after each other can only go so far. All hope is lost for squidman's pitstop to be an actual base. I'll still buy ALL off these sets I was just hoping for more of a ground based HQ for each of the opposing sides instead of big ships with computers and stuff. I don't really like placing all of my sets in a row and stuff in my town it just doesn't fit in. Having a bunch of vehicles next to each other is a big waste of space (pun intended) in my town and I'd rather have a place where they belonged. I can see what lego might be trying to do here if people like the theme then Lego will spend more time making HQ's and other things but right now it is still a test to see if people like them. And I know this seems like quite a pointless rant talking about how cool bases are and that a bunch of ships annoys me because this is SPACE but I'm a natural born townie and I've only owned like 4 space sets EVER. This theme interests me and it looks cool but I'm scared to buy a bunch of a theme that ends up not doing well and getting discontinued. So lets hope all ends well for this theme and Land based HQ (RANT) Quote

But that's only a guess. I'd like a ground-based HQ too, however I don't mind the focus on space vehicles because I already have plenty of ground from MM. Quote
user Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) Well that's incredibly stupid considering we have official pictures of all the Agent 2.0 sets. When did I ever say that that was a recent topic ever? Duh there are new agents pics but just look here. Edited March 23, 2009 by computerbug Quote
Algernon Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 When did I ever say that that was a recent topic ever? Duh there are new agents pics but just look here. Ok, um, we all appreciate your concern for the legality of risky image posting, but what was stated in that topic is now void because official pictures of these sets have been released. Also those angry faces are annoying and making it a weensy bit hard to take you seriously. No offense. Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 That new set is weird. It has so many junior parts like those spines. Well, it looks like there are yellow fires at least! Quote

Algernon Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Those look new to me. I wish we had a pic of Max Security Transport though. =( Quote
Bricks Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I don't know why...but I've already seen the clear pictures of the boxes. But the picture of the set: 5980 is still new to me, so thanks for posting By the way, I think the set 5980 is one of the best to get more than two new figures. ~Will be bought~ 'Bricks' Quote
user Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 It's a bad guy base... I think.... I think it looks like an octan gas station ran by the twins to help Squid have a swift getaway... But that's just a guess. I like the other "limited edition" set much better. And no I won't tell you anything about it other than I think it's one of the best in this first lineup of SP III. You wont even tell us the baddies it comes with? Quote

Well, it is a pit stop... There are way too many bionicle parts in that set. It does look creative and I am intrigued by the yellow fires. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 The base sort of reminds me of ogels undersea lair. I am also exited for the last set! Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 The base sort of reminds me of ogels undersea lair. I am also exited for the last set! Just curios, how? I can find any resemblance. One thing I wish to see is like in power miners, a big alien that isnt a minifig. But it better not be stupid like the MM jellies commander. Do you think god forbid that we will see any jellies in the line? I hope for some blacktrons. Quote
CP5670 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 The box designs are very nice. Are there trans-red components in that 5980 set? It's hard to tell if that is actually trans-red or if the picture is just oversaturated. One reason I'm not so keen on the bad guy sets (although their minifigs are great) is the lack of colored transparent windows, at least in the ones we saw earlier. Quote

Yes, I think trans red windows would be a very good improvement to the base. The only trans red I see is on the big radar dish. Quote
Squeaker Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) New Space Police pictures have been found by who else but whung. I know Eurobricks is a bit touchy on this subject so I just included a link. If this vilolates any rules, delete away! I like the Space Police's dark bley suits, and the aliens look fantastic. The sets look pretty solid compared to Mars Mission, which is a very good thing! Never mind. Edited March 25, 2009 by Squeaker Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Ba- bam! Already seen here and this would be the right place to discuss that. Just a heads up Quote
Algernon Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Yep, they've been posted in the SPIII topic. Look nice though. I will probably be getting my hands on the whole line. Quote
Hewman Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 These sets are really growing on me, I love the box art, the craters give it a bit of a classic space feel. I think I'll be getting multiples of the K-9 set. Quote
Siegfried Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I love these sets! I think 5974... .. has a classic-like charm at the same time as looking new. ]New Space Police pictures have been found by who else but whung. I know Eurobricks is a bit touchy on this subject so I just included a link. If this vilolates any rules, delete away! I merged your topic. Just to clarify, most of the links are OK, and most of the time we only complain about really early images, especially ones with a big "Preliminary" stamp on them. We also tend to complain about small blurry shots, often because these often come from larger shots with big "Preliminary" stamps on them and have been reduced and blurred to disguise it. Quote
