CP5670 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Nice, it sounds like the big sets are coming out sooner than I thought. Quote
user Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 The Milton Keynes store had all 8 of the initial sets yesterday, including the two you mention. I assume the other two UK stores have the same. You can see the figs from the sets here, on my flickr-stream - http://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-moose/3567238801/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-moose/3567922340/ Ian ks a bunch for the Slizer pics! Derek Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I just noticed a female cop in that group pic previously posted. Does any one know what set she's in? Quote

Algernon Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Could someone who has Hyperspeed Pursuit and/or the Galactic Enforcer post a review? As far as I know very few people own these sets. They haven't been released in the United States and SP3 is proving elusive in the UK. But eventually! I just noticed a female cop in that group pic previously posted. Does any one know what set she's in? Yep, the Galactic Enforcer. Personally I wish they had given her a different torso, a la Trace from Agents. Quote
Oky Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I wish they had given her a different torso, a la Trace from Agents. Yeah, but the SP are wearing hard armor, not jumpsuits like the Agents. Quote
Dark_Avenger Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Could someone who has Hyperspeed Pursuit and/or the Galactic Enforcer post a review? I'm guessing that LEGO is holding those back an extra few weeks - they aren't on S@H yet, and I know that even though the Woodfield LEGO Store got a bunch of new stuff in recently, their Space Police selection is limited to Squidman, Freeze Ray, Gold Heist, and the Space Truck. (Which makes me sad, because those were the two sets I wanted most ) Quote
Algernon Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Yeah, but the SP are wearing hard armor, not jumpsuits like the Agents. They're also wearing open helmets in Space. Quote

(Which makes me sad, because those were the two sets I wanted most ) Giving their size, I'll have to bet Hyperspeed Pursuit and Galactic Enforcer are very complex sets to manufacture (more parts bags per box, etc), thus taking longer to produce. I suppose its more about having an adequate supply on hand to meet demand. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) ^ Also LEGO realizes children don't have $100 to spend on sets unless it's their birthday or Christmas. So they release the cheaper sets now, get people talking about the sets and then release the bigger ones so the kids can go "I want those for Christmas!" I love the fact LEGO finally puts in air tanks for a space theme, but then has helmets that aren't sealed. I know when I was a kid that would still piss me off. Spacefan Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 They're also wearing open helmets in Space. If your short on standard black helmets, theres always Pick A Brick (Element ID: 4298619) and Bricklink. Quote

---Vertea--- Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Galactic Enforcer. DAMN! that's the really big $80-$90 one... Quote
Erdbeereis Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I spotted the 2 SP impulses at Galeria Kaufhof in Munich, but none of the other sets were there. A review is forthcoming. Quote
Algernon Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 DAMN! that's the really big $80-$90 one... $99.99 actually. Plenty worth it though. That set looks great. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 $99.99 actually. Plenty worth it though. That set looks great. true.... but I don't happen to have $100+ lying around, though my B-Day IS coming up.... But still-one doesn't just ask for a hundred dollar LEGO set for their eighteenth birthday. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 true.... but I don't happen to have $100+ lying around, though my B-Day IS coming up.... But still-one doesn't just ask for a hundred dollar LEGO set for their eighteenth birthday. I think I'm going to ask my wife for Squidman's Pitstop for Christmas (if I haven't bought it by then) Quote

iangreig Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I love that spikey guy's face! what set is he in? Galactic Enforcer. Yup; he's going to be the rare/expensive fig from these sets, currently only available in the most expensive set. Ian Quote
Natman8000 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Galactic Enforcer. Yup; he's going to be the rare/expensive fig from these sets, currently only available in the most expensive set. Ian No doubt. He is most likely in there exclusively so the set will sell better. Not that it wouldnt otherwise, it looks like a great set. Quote

True that! those blue capsules in the side are what get my attention. I didn't get any MM sets last year, so missed out on a lot of space parts. Maybe I WILL ask for that set... it's worth it. Quote

It even has a compartment to store a little land rover (currently the only known land vehicle from the theme). Quote
