LEGOMAN132 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I hope we will get some Police aliens too... That would be awesome! I do too. We could always make our own if we don't get any. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) I do too. We could always make our own if we don't get any. Easiest Alien police to make would be from slizer the twins and snake's species. hardest to make would be one with frenzies, but nobody would want to do that seeing as how people think his set stinks. As for the helmets, here is my theory. the moon has a slight atmosphere (due to teramorphing) and beings who need air can survive without a helmet for a while, but with a helmet, indefinately! and some of the aliens breathe air but the humans do not make helmets that fit their heads so must live in atleast partialy enclosed arias to replenish their air. other aliens (slizer, and snake, maybe the twins) breath different gasses, thus they need helmets. the aliens aer not alowed to live in the cities, because the humans are slightly zenophobic, or maybe they are but aren't treated very nicely, so many don't. either way the alient have resoted to crime to get what they want. Unlike many people I LOVE the mini ships, I always have, and I am sure to get squidys pitstop, or even 2 (not likely) miniships have always been my favorate, though i'm not to keen on the scooters, the ship that squidy rides, might just be my favorate in the line, followed by the turret sized spacecycle in max security transport (no lie) but i'm not sure i'll get the latter. maybe just because it has slizer. snake's turret like scooter isn't awfull though, but snake is far to common! i'm tempted to use my extras as unnamed mooks and bouncers, and generic aliens at the modded squidies chop shop. I do like the ground vehicle used by twin one. that's perfect to fight the police rover in galactic enforcer (or whatever) sorry for the long post! Edited June 13, 2009 by dannylonglegs Quote

It allows for some small-scale fast battles and makes it easier to build armies. Plus, it means the set will cost less. As far as the Max Security Transport goes, I am VERY happy to see ol' lizard face in an affordable set. It even includes a stasis pod! Quote
CP5670 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Has anyone gotten a Galactic Enforcer yet? It would be great to have a review of that. The second half of the instructions for it are up on the Lego site now, and the model looks excellent there. The big interior section in the middle is very reminiscent of the old Galactic Mediator. metalandi Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 There are actually both instruction books up, you just gotta do a little play with numbers in the links Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 ooh cool, I hope this means it'l be out soon. Quote
CP5670 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 There are actually both instruction books up, you just gotta do a little play with numbers in the links I'm missing it. Is it only available on some countries' sites? Quote
metalandi Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Instructions that are uploaded usually have nothing to do with countries at all... Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 it's on the lego website if you can't find it. I forget how I got to it, but I could probably get back if I tried. Quote
metalandi Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I think the 2 instruction books were just 1 or 2 digits from each other, just try and change it +/- 1 or 2 digits, enter that and you'll find it. Quote
Rayskull Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) is anyone bothered by the lack of an opening cockpit in on the $50 set I want it anyway though! Edited June 16, 2009 by Rayskull Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 which 50$ one? and by the way has some one done a review on the crate heist, that I haven't seen, cause if not I might do one when my birthday train rides in next week, with a few well deserved toys for making it through the year. Quote
Batbrick Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Hmmm, I'm still not hot on the Pitstop, but the Maximum Security set is looking better to me, though I would probably mod it if I bought it. I guess it depends on if it comes to my store, because I likely won't be ordering it. Batbrick Away! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Frankly I like both of those sets more than the non exclusive sets, probably because of the large number of aliens in those sets, but also because of the ships. (the mini ships) I'd like to get both of them but I don't think that I'll get max security, because the only reason I would is for the space cycle(my favorate ship of the theme) and slizer. Quote
Maegnus Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Whereas TRU.ca had a ship date listed for July 3rd, it looks to have been bumped to July 17th. Boourns. Quote
metalandi Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I gotta say i never was abig space fan, that's why i'm not around in this subforum much, but i fell in love with the big space ship. I've seen many of the older sets, and think this is the best ship in a very long time, and even i will get it, though i have no space sets at all so far Quote
Iron Moose Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Book 1: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4561964.pdf Book 2: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4561965.pdf A fixed cockpit for this thing, too. :( VERY :( Edited June 18, 2009 by Iron Moose Quote
CP5670 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Thanks for the links. I see the cockpit holes, but they would be very easy to fix unlike 5971. Just replace the blue 2x2 tiles with bricks and put in Technic 1x1 bricks to run the hoses through. Quote
The Rancor Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Has anyone seen THIS picture of the Pitstop? It looks as if someone already has the box, which is an odd way for TLG to present it (portrait). I like the way that a big deal is made of 4 minifigs! when there STILL hasn't been another set with Frenzy in it! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 it pitstop exclusive and limited edition or just limited edition? Quote
Oky Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Thanks for the pic, Rancor! I like the toxic waste barrels and the sign that says "Universe-L Spare Parts" which I hadn't noticed before! I don't think that I'll get max security, because the only reason I would is for the space cycle(my favorate ship of the theme) and slizer. Are you serious? That thing is just a Technic missile launcher attached to a 2x6 plate with some random pieces in the back! It looks like it has been thrown together in a few minutes! Even the space cycle from the Galactic Enforcer looks way better than that! Oh I realy have to see a better pic of it then. it looks good when ridden, but in all of the pics it's hard to see. Edited June 19, 2009 by dannylonglegs Quote

Algernon Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I'll probably still be skipping the pitshop, but that pic makes it look a little better. We'll have to wait for some reviews, though. Quote
