What a colossal screw up! The oldest, most comprehensive LEGO-wiki, BrickWiki somehow did not have an Eurobricks article! :pir_bawling:

I have posted about it on the new BrickWiki Blog and asked for two things: help on creating an accurate EB article and a hunt for the next worst omission on BW. If we can miss something as big as Eb what else might we have missed! :pir-grin:

Can anyone point me to a history of EB or contribute information to help compile something?

Thanks for the link sinner! Wow! There were so many admins back than! I only see jipay around here now though... What happened to the rest? Anyway, I still think Eurobricks is a better forum than BZPower. After all, they only talk about bionicle :pir-tongue: But Eurobricks suits everyone's choice :pir-skull:

Most became busy with other aspects of life. Apo and Sam are still around from time to time.

Thanks for the heads up :pir_laugh2: Wow! They are still here! Do they visit monthly or yearly? :pir-skull:

Thank you for your help :pir-tongue::pir_laugh2:

Shhhh! If you look it up, Sam was on today and posted some news in the Star Wars forum last month and Apo was on last month and last posted in March. So it would seem they visit monthly or better. Happy now? :pir-grin:

Hmm... Are you sure about that? :pir-wink: Well, it's not very extensive, so I guess it we should help it out. :pir-classic: What if we commision people to write articles?

Unfortunately, you'd have to be a member!

Quite sure Adam as I'm the guy who quickly put up the "stub" when I saw it was not there. Sorry if I was not clear about that in my original post.

I don't know about a "commission" to write articles but if you can encourage volunteers that would be great. Of course any info I receive I will be happy to incorporate into the article when I get a chance :pir-sweet:

Thanks for the suggestion Sinner. I did use Archve.Org to get 2004 as the year it was created. I was hoping there might be some sort of history postings or milestones noted on the forums somewhere that I could not find. OK, I didn't look that hard but I'm not sure I have time to go through thousands of posts gleaning such info. :pir-grin:

I'm talking about it to the staff. The problem is that there wasn't a lot of notes taken at the time.

Could be fun to include the current moderators/Staff etc...

Have a mention of the huge competitions we have, like the pirate contest.

Perhaps Hinckleys radio interview is a good source of information as well.

Have a screen shot of the forum page, and show the main "threads"/sections, aka, Castle, Pirates, Community etc with some defining features of each...

Like Community, I am sure Imperial Shadows would be thrilled if EB news presents was mentioned.

And obviously you would include the history, like the creators of EB, how its a world wide forum now and not limited to Europeans. It would be nice to get some statistic of American/European/Others are members.

May wish to include some of the over arching rules that apply. Yes to be known is good, but to get continuous "bad kids" joining up will strain mods to all hell.

Well thats my two cents worth, I hope and wish this has only helped. If any one thinks they are bad ideas please do not flame them. the staff will simply not include them in their plans

Some really great suggestions and I had forgotten about that interview.

Thanks!

They are there as well, but their Wikipedia page has been deleted!

Huh... that's funny. When I searched it a few days ago it didn't come up. O_o

True, true, they discuss mainly Bionicle. The sites have very different atmospheres and purposes though, so I find it hard to compare them.
