Lasse D Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 The AFOLS attending the Children's Dream Town event 2008 were asked to build something on a 32x32 plate for the event. Surprisingly, many of us choose to build something with moving parts. My contribution was this little blue house where the minifigs could party outside with huge loudspeakers and the acceptance from the neighbors. Yep. It moves and shakes the roof. It is filled with Technic-parts, motors, gears, wires and other PF-components. You gain access to the battery from the rear side. I will make a longer video showing more from the event, such as all the creations from the children, other AFOL contributions and other funny stuff. Here are some picture from the event. Quote
Guss Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 really really nice effect you gave to this moving house^^ My girlfriend said it remind her the introduction movie of the sims XD and I also love the technic roof, looks great, great job man! Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Haha! Raise the roof! Lasse D, this is absolutely brilliant! The video is hilarious, and the house itself is an incredible piece of work! Quote
CP5670 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 This is one of the most original Technic concepts I've seen. I love how the house moves in a couple of distinct ways. How many different motors/geartrains are you using there? Quote
Freddie Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Yeah, I agree with CP5670 - this is a very original MOC. I'm guessing the house sits slightly raised, so that it can both lower and raise itself as it dances, right? It's kinda hard to see exactly how it moves on the video. Quote
Asuka Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 A brilliant and well executed idea indeed, hilarious! Rock da house on! Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Brilliant! Simply brilliant! And a great choice of song aswell. Well done sir. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 What a clever creation, and a perfect song to see it shake by. This idea would work great for a Haunted Western Shack, and Grave Stone never had one like this. I love it! BLOGGED! Quote
WhiteFang Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Innovative and creative moc. I had never seen a rocking house before. The video is superb entertaining. I am sure the minifigs are enjoying themselves very much. Quote
AL FREDDO Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 awesome!! it really looks like is pumpin some roots rock reggae inside Quote
mania3 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Wow, that's a pretty cool mechanism you constructed under the roof there. Impressive twist in design for what could have otherwise been a pretty generic MOC but invariably ended up a really pleasant surprise! Quote
Jipay Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 So funny ! I bet that's how captain green hair's hourse looks like. Thanks for the laugh ! Quote
Lasse D Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 If you like this, then you should see what another AFOL from my lug brought the next weekend: Quote

Bartram Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Wow. Very, very creative. The whole "moving" feature really takes your MOC to a whole new level Quote
