EDIT:Hey everyone

I was just browsing the USA Lego Customer Service site when I came across one instruction booklet for an Old Pirate set

http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/BuildingI...ns/default.aspx

What do you think?

(Please delete this thread as the instructions are old, but it's intriguing as I didn't know TLG CS showed such old booklets!)

( If the thread isn't deleted, please rename it to emphasise that the set is NOT brand new  )

Thanks very much for the info! I hope the other instructions are also coming up soon, but it could be that they are just teasing us once again, remember that for example one booklet for the city farm is also online already.

Do you have the direct link to it?

There are indeed some old set instructions, not only with Pirates (there are instructions of 5571 and 8880 for example). The oldest ones in the Pirates theme are sets released in 1996:

6244

6289

But they may have older instructions soon. The other instructions are from re-releases of different sets. For these sets: follow the link of The Rancor and search by brand for "Pirates".

These are a nice find, but I'd rather just use Perron.com for older sets.

A few weeks ago Lego updated almost all of their instructions back to the early 2000s - there's heaps more old City stuff etc than there used to be, including Divers, Arctic etc, as well as other themes inc. Pirates.

It's actually kind of annoying now as there's so much there it's hard to browse!

Brickley's Words is a great site too though.

Do you have a direct link to the farm instructions? I don't seem to find it... :(

take a look at the city 09 thread, there it is posted somewhere on the last few pages.

Done! I'll move this as well.

I've seen this before too. Some of the set names they give are quite strange though and don't match up with the official names used in any country. The UFO sets are an example.
