November 19, 200816 yr Nope, you don't look stupid. Yeah, on this website, it would most likely be "modification." At work, it means "Manager on Duty." And when Hinckley is drivin', it means "MOVE OVER DUMMY!!!" Just kidding on the last one.......
November 19, 200816 yr In general, it usually means modification or moderator (as on a forum). I don't think it has any Lego-specific meaning. Edited November 19, 200816 yr by CP5670
November 19, 200816 yr I'm not a MOD or anything (haha, pun intended), but there's actually a quite extensive list of abbreviations and acronyms we use here in the Website & Forum -section. Here's a link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1188 Hope the Glossary helps you as much as it has helped me. There's no way for a new member to know all of these strange letter combinations in advance.
November 19, 200816 yr Here's a link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1188 Thank you! That came in handy.
November 19, 200816 yr I like to/used to think of it as: My Own Design But that's just me... MOC is probably better. My Own Creation Edited November 19, 200816 yr by CaptainBrickBeard
November 19, 200816 yr I like to/used to think of it as:My Own Design But that's just me... MOC is probably better. My Own Creation Ahh yes the general mix-up of those. When altering or "MODifying" an official set, then it's a MOD (modification of an offical design) When creating a model of your own, then it's a MOC (My Own Creation).
November 19, 200816 yr Author I thought it meant modification but I thought each letter stood for something like MOC (my own creation). Well thanks for clearing that up.
November 19, 200816 yr So, if you build a replica of another person's MOC, would it be a SEC (Somebody Else's Creation)?
