Hi everyone! My name is Josh and I live in Broome Western Australia!I collect mostly vintage lego but I have quite a few of the star wars sets as well! The lines that I am mostly interested are the pirate sets including the islander line, castle sets including the robin hood sets and the newer dwarves and trolls etc!I have most of these lines complete now so have slowed down a little bit as of late after having gotten back into after a good 15 year break(what was I thinking!Chicks I think LOL))!

Anyways just thought I should say hi and thanks to Mofo jones?(sorry if I got it wrong mate) from Rebelscum for pointing me in the direction of this site!I was just going to check out the new pirate sets being reviewed but it looks like such a great site I figured i better join up!I will have to get my sets out now and get a group photo of them all + it will be a good excuse to get back into some brick building fun that i havent done in a little while!

Hoping to talk to you guys/girls soon and looking forward to the reviews, customs etc! :pir-blush:

Hey Josh

Welcome to Eurobricks from a guy in the state right next door to WA, but probably 5,000 kms from Broome. There are a lot of AUssies here and we have our own discussion thread on Aussie sales which we all tend to update pretty regularly, it's definitely worth a look. Do they have much in the way of department stores up there? You'll have to excuse my ignorance about the N-W of Australia. Anyway here's a link to the Aussie sales thread Aussie sales

Cheers

Thanks guys for the welcome! This has to be one of the friendliest forums I have been on to tell the truth!

Matt :pir_laugh2: your not ignorant mate dont worry we are talking about the wild west here!!We have just recently got a Target built in town though but thats is the closest thing to a department store here so to speak!Sure we have a toyworld and a couple of other small local shops that sell some lego sets also but not much and it can be quite expensive in them!!Its almost cheaper getting of ebay including the postage :pir_bawling:

Thanks for the link to the aussie sales mate I apreciate it!Where are you from N.T or S.A?I used to live in Darwin back in the late eighties early nineties!

Again guys thanks for making me feel so welcome on here!I feel I am going to like this place!!Going to try and make PTV entry if I can find some time even if it maybe only a small or medium one it looks like a fun contest! If I dont get one in you can bet I will be making something for the next contest whatever the theme maybe!

I forgot to tell you lot how old I am in my first post!I have just turned thirty just over a week ago!Have one child and another on the way!Thats the reason I got back into my lego a while back having a kid was a great excuse to be able to play with toys from my childhood again! Well thats what I reckon anyway LOL!!

TTYS peoples!!

Hi Josh from another Aussie Josh!

I too have just emerged from a long Dark Age, and found Eurobricks to be a great community to share Lego ideas and thoughts. Im pleased to already see you have signed up for the Eurobricks Community build as well. Cheers

Good to hear you at least have a Target in Broome too, they tend to have 20% off Lego fairly regularly and a fair range.

If you are looking on Bricklink for parts I recommend Maxspace, he is very efficient and has most bricks, as well as constantly parting out sets.

See ya round.
