Well I've been lurking and posting the odd thing around here for ages, so I thought I'd better make an introduction.

I'm in Christchurch, New Zealand. Unfortunately I hardly ever get to play with the lego I buy, apart from when my son (he's almost 5) needs a hand with something. But I guess for me that's part of the biggest enjoyment! Seeing the vehicles and spaceships and stories he creates is awesome!!

I guess it's only since Ethan came along that I've come out of my dark ages, so a few years ago a got all my old lego from my parents and had a look through it. Ahh Memories!!! It was mostly space, and road plates. Not a lot left of it so I hit the internet to top it up. I managed to get a few great deals, a Galaxy Explorer 944 box in very good condition with most of the parts. And another great deal of a big box of assorted space that turned out to be my best find ever. So now I have heaps of space as well as some old school stuff I've picked up online.

And, yes once the bug has bitten, you end up spending large on the new stuff as well. So now we have a few batman sets, some castle and plenty of city. All up combined with the old and the new (according to peeron) I have about 20,000 pieces.

So, thanks for the great site, keep up the good work!!

Cheers,

Coldbricks.

Your story sounds similar to mine! Although I didnt go after space lego it was the pirates and castle sets I loved the most when I was younger!Has peeron got a counter or something so you can work out how many bricks you have roughly?Sorry if that seems like a stupid question just wasnt sure if you have just added them up yourself according to the amount of pieces in each set or you can just put in the set numbers and it computes a total for you!Been a little while since I waqs using it for instructions for some of my old ones thats all!I guess I better get back on there and see I suppose!

Welcome on board mate!

Hi ColdBricks, welcome to Eurobricks! It's nice to see another kiwi, finding its way to Eurobricks. In here, you will find plenty other kiwis and friendly members. By the way, NZ is one of my fave country, and I love to visit there soon again. It has been almost 2 years since I last went to Auckland. Oh, enjoy your stay and love your LEGO. :pir_laugh2:

Hey Josh.

You can enter in all over your sets at peeron and it will do an inventory for you. I only found this out myself a few weeks back!!!

Hi Coldbricks, welcome to Eurobricks from another ANZAC member. I laughed when you mentioned the joy of sharing Lego with your son Ethan, as my son is also named Ethan and will turn 4 soon. He is constantly into my Lego asking to build things and cause general mayhem when Im building my MOC's

LOL.

Watch out for this guy below....
