Captain Green Hair Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I think they threw it overboard ad forgat to put a rope on it... RR didn't even have a ship's wheel, next to not having an anchor, it did have a compass though. Did you know you can steer a sailingship with the sails alone? And stop it as well. Quote
Fluyt Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 (edited) Did you know you can steer a sailingship with the sails alone? And stop it as well. Yes, I knew that , but it was kinda strange to not include one, because it did have a rudder, which seems like it can't be used by the crew of the RR as it is now (and since every other pirate/imperial ship has a ship's wheel, even the CBC which is the same size). But not including a wheel was a better choice than not including anchors in some ships. Edited December 4, 2008 by Fluyt Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I was wondering if it has anything to do with the lack of string. The Brickbeard Bounty uses chain where the classic ships use nylon string-- there really isn't a good way to attach the anchor without any string- so they may have passed on it for that reason I agree But they should have made an anchor on it, with a capstan perhaps. The capstan is quite important on a ship. Lego never had one... Quote

You're wrong on that one: The Skull's Eye Schooner had a capstan, not a very big one, but still a capstan, visible in this picture Quote

From the BSB I knew it hasn't a capstan. So I didn't thought the SeS would have one But now I know and I official confess I was wrong Quote
