SuvieD Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 That's right little armory is for sale. The website, intlectual property, injection molds, the whole works. Ebay Little Armory I really can't believe it. Wow. Well anyone with some ambition and start up money could get this and make some good money selling parts. I hope LEGO looks at this and considers buying it up. That would be so awesome. If LEGO doesn't I hope someone like red bean does. I really don't want some doofus getting ahold of this and making it awful. Or worse, megabloks or enlighten *sick* *sick* *sick*
languages Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I hope they carry on producing such great weapons....
MattZitron Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 It'd be AMAZING if Lego bought it. That'd make my day to have sets with Weapons that detailled
Jipay Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I'm not sure it would be good for them to buy it. Somehow, I can't see them producing those weapons, after all the debates about guns and all. Still, I wish they could.
jmenomeno Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Things like this wake me up. I dropped the owner a line and his reply is that he's raising money for something else... Joe
Christian Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 this is just so sad :'( , although that I have never bought any of the weapons, but I was considering it. I hope that the next owner will be able to make weapons just as good as he did.
languages Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Maybe everyone on Eurobricks could put money towards the auction. Then if we won it could be Euro Armoury.... We could raise money for the site
Bloke Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I have bought from him a few times, the quality of the gear he produces is stunning. If i had the money then it would definately be on...don't think the wife would like it mind :'(
Jipay Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I just can't spend that much money. I don't think you guys represent the amount of money that is necessary to mold plastic stuff. You needs molds, plastic injectors, and the list goes on and on and on. *wacko*
jonfett Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I can see this going for over $4000-5000! It at $1500 with over 5 days left. Too bad Jeff had to sell up, I've been wanting to get some of his new castle stuff :( Jon.
jonfett Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I'm doing this because there is something far more important in my life now. I'm sorry if some think this is suspicious, or whatever, but since this is MY thing...you get the idea. I don't need to explain anymore than I have. This decision did not come easily, but it has to be done for me. I don't think that this has made much of a profit (once you take away the costs of molds etc..) So I expect Jeff will be happy to make a few $K and start new. Jon.
SuvieD Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 He is selling so he can get the funds he needs to start some new project. He is getting out of LEGO and stepping into his own brand of toy I think. You would have to do some research elsewhere to find out for sure but that is what i am picking up on.
Cpt. Blackbeard Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I E-Mailed him and the only thing he said was i'm Going to bigger and better things. So that could mean a lot of things.
Starwars4J Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I just hope that whoever buys it produces those AMAZING arms that I saw awhile ago that he never got around to mass-producing. I know I'd easily spend at least $100 on a nice supply of 'em.
jonfett Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Wow! Bidding has ended, and the little armory has sold for $6,600! :oo Jeff said at CC.. I can tell you that the reserve price is extremely high. Why? Because I can't put a price on what I've done. Can you? Anyway - I don't expect to get my reserve at all...but if I get a high enough bid, I'll contact that person. So maybe he will try to re-sell, as I doubt $6,600 is enough for him. Jon.
