6211 Imperial Star Destroyer.

In my new ISD from Black Friday, I noticed that the astromech head was the new one as seen in the Death Star. Did anyone else see this? It must mean that TLC put these into production for Target recently, but why wouldn't they put them on S@H, when people would surely buy it at full price? I just thought this was an interesting point, and was wondering what everyone else thought.

TLG has a policy that instead of stopping the packing of sets they put in similar bricks.

I've experienced this with the Sail Barge and also when I bought the CTT. - The trans-blue grills were replaced by medium-blue grills

Usually you can just call customer support and inform them that you've been given the wrong pieces and they'll ship the correct one when its reproduced.

It's the same with mine. It's nice though that this happened, as I like the new version much better.

Another thing I noticed was that the stormtroopers are the new version as well, except with blank flesh heads rather than black.

Really? I have that problem - except I got my CTT second hand and I'd perhaps mistakenly assumed the vendor had swapped the colours.

I too got the ISD for Black Friday, but I haven't noticed that the astromech head is different... could you please post a comparison pic? I also noticed that the ST heads were blank flesh... and that Darth Vader's head was the new kind.

Believe me, I'm happy with the new one.

But I don't have the other version to compare it to with a pic, I just noticed that the newer head print takes up more room on the dome piece as opposed to the new one.

Frankly, I think the new one looks much better. A lot more detail and brighter color.

When I ordered my ISD from Jan this year, it came with the black Stormtrooper heads, however the helmets were more detailed than the current BP ones. I think the astromech droid head is the same as my DS one. I will have to check though.
