Can't say I like the little arch, but at least there is a golden flag and shield. :oh:

Yea, I'm a bit disappointed as well, it should AT LEAST have included another dark blue flag, to go with the colors. The pathetic thing is that a knight can't even walk through it!

I tried to prize the small brown pole from INSIDE the arch. Ow, my fingernails!

I have to say the arch is the weakest of the sets. It only gets better from here.

I got this calander for my six year old son. He has been so excited about it, scrutinising every detail of the box including the inventory where he was thrilled to discover he was getting an apple and a carrot.

On the 1st he complained that there weren't enough minifigures in the set. I thought, 'Oh dear! what is he going to say when he gets the arch tomorrow?' On the second when he opened it and built it he said, 'Wow, that's so cool!"

Just goes to show...

I really like the advent calandar and so I saved my copy 'till now and open it every day just one door. Altough it are very small items I really like the amound of assecoires in it.

People, stop complaining about that arch. It´s not a passway, or else TLC would have made it large enough for a minifig to walk through. It is rather a nice little detail to add to your castle setup for placing the armor from day 3. Imagine a hallway inside a castle, and there it is. The knights weapons chamber. With his favorite armor nicely displayed under an arch.

I see nothing wrong with that :classic:

Liking the line-up so far. It's so much more fun doing it properly, it preserves the excitemtent. Plus you get a little bit of new Lego every day, for nearly a month. What more could you want?

Th Crownie wasn't really anything special, but I guess it's always good to have another soldier. The archway isn't as bad as everyone (DJ excepted) seems to think. It's a little bit of detail, and the thing about these Advent Calendars is that the sets are never supposed to be absolutely, fantastically amazing... just neat. Then today we got the armour, which is also quite nice.

Roll on tomorrow...

Oh very nice, I only got one extra arm. You know that the extra arms can be used to extend the legs too though, right? Extra-tall skellies look cool.

Unfortunately connecting the clips together like that stresses and weakens them (though in my case, simply squeezing the clips back a slight bit seemed to restore them).

I only think it weakens them if you push them all the way in, so to speak. I just attatched them quite loosely, makes for a flimisier construction, but doesent seem to stress the pieces that much.

This is actually my first "new" skeleton, i got a bunch of the old ones, but their arms arn't really good for anything else than flopping around in a quite pathetic manner.

now i seem to need moar, so i can make skelletons with extra long legs and arms... will propbably look a bit like "Lillebror" in Riget (the danish and original version of kingdom hospital)

well, now i see i wan't that careful with one of the arms, the way i meant is the way i used on the mace-arm.

Dissapointment today, I opened Door Number Four and found: A skeleton head, three skeleton arms, two skeleton legs and... no torso! :cry_sad:

Oh poor you! can't really make that much with those pieces!

How come theres so much mistakes in these calendars? My theory is that the way lego does controls is that the weigh the pieces, and because the calender consists of so many small accesories, it's hard to tell by weighing wether there is an extra (or missing, or both) piece or two.

today i got a quiver, a bullseye... and no bow! :cry_sad:

got an extra hinge-part though. hooray. :hmpf_bad:

That's bad. you should contact Lego. They'll send you a replacement. :classic:

I also liked today's set, and I love the large amount of accesoires you get in this Calendar. Lots and lots of weapons!:cry_happy:

I also bought it because of that, I wasn't able to open my today case because I'm not at home since last tuesday, so I cheated and opened the 5-6-7 before leaving, but I didn't opened the 8 !

I love this little set:

I kitted out the brimmed helmet soldier with the bow and arrow. He had *two* shortswords from his own window. I like the target - the white round plate is useful.

5 minifigs left for 16 days...

It´s very hard for me to wait a whole day for opening the next door, I think it would be great fun to open them all at once, but I´m trying to stay strong :knight:

Perhaps we should make a list containing parts that were missing :look:

Door 4: I missed the torso of the white skeleton

Door 8: The Bow was missing

Well... It´s not that those pieces are missing in EVERY calendar, so what´s the point of this list?

There are always boxes with missing pieces. Always were and always will be.

I didn´t say they were missing in every calendar ;)

Furthermore the list isn´t meant to be too seriously at all, it´s just that I have heard about an extraordinary amount of calendars with missing pieces (compared to the normal sets)

Which is odd.

I've bought 3 calendars this year and 2 last year and none had missing parts.

Perhaps you'd better check those polybags an extra time
