BlueBard Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I already started a topic about this time ago but after seeing this on BS I was wondering if somebody knows if TLC is planning to release new sets of this kind. It would be great, wouldn't it? Quote
daxflame680 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 (edited) Didn't Hasbro sue Lego for those? Edited December 1, 2008 by daxflame680 Quote

It would be great, wouldn't it? Didn't Hasbro sue Lego for those? I think it's a fake. If it were to be sold, it would already be here. It's just COMPLETE fake. Look at the background! It's someone's home. They took a trading card box and photoshopped it. And sued? When was that important? Quote
djo Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 nice sets. but i think the minifigs are ordinary city people, nothing special, correct me if i'm wrong. looks like impulse set times three. Quote
LegoFranks Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/3350-1 Not fake... M. Quote

These were released for several themes.(Ninjas, Star Wars, Rock Raiders, City & probably more) One might think you're extremely young when not knowing these Quote

Bluebard, I do hope they try and rerelease these small packs of figs. Battlepacks aren't made for themes outside SW and Castle, so a lot of help is needed. Petition? :pir-skull: Quote

And, if I remeber correctly, they were called 'Storytellers'. At least the SW ones. LuxorV Quote

Battlepacks aren't made for themes outside SW and Castle, so a lot of help is needed. Petition? :pir-skull: Battle packs don't really have a purpose outside of SW and Caslte though - in the city lines, it's the vehicles and buildings that make a lego city a city, not an army of construction workers. (Although I never thought that a civilian "army" pack could hurt...) Anyway, those sets were released a long time ago, and I'm not too sure if they sold well enough for TLC to do them again. The star wars ones were good for obvious reasons, but the City ones are just ordinary workers that come in many other easy to get sets. Quote
Apolloo Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I wish I had bought some of these when they were first released. It would be great to see lego make some again. Quote
Natman8000 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I thought playmobile was pissed because they had simular products to this. Quote
ShaddowCroc Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I remember these. I never knew there were city ones, I just got the Star Wars ones waaaaay back when. I'd still like to see them back, though. (And I think LEGO stopped making these things because they failed to be viable for the company when minifigs started costing a lot of money. . .) Quote
Hewman Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I wish I had bought some of these when they were first released. It would be great to see lego make some again. The best solution to that is to buy some old cheap advent calendars, you'll get a bunch of similar figures and some really cool accesories to go with them. It seems almost every one has at elast one policeman, fireman and construction worker. Quote
