The same dissapointment would be had at the store, depending on how you had opened them. I'm not here to argue or call anyone names (which was never done). I just don't approve that's all. Quote

Lots of people really want a Chrome Darth Vader, but they accept that there is no way to get one but luck. Acting in a somewhat irresponsible manner never gets you the product you desire, at least in my experience. If you act honestly, perhaps the thing you want will come your way. Or maybe in several years those people that have figured out the secret will share their amazing method. I hope to be here when that happens! (IF that happens!) Quote

I just assumed this thread was about getting a Chrome Darth Vader in a set, not forking over lots of cash for just a Chrom Darth Vader. (Although some people do fork over tons of cash for the sets hoping to get him, but they get the set too!) Quote

I just really wanted that chrome darth vader. you would but you did not. you spend a lot of time weighing and opening returning sets why not work a few more hour and just buy it off bricklink. I saw a couple at $50 a piece. that's only like 3-4 hrs of work time and you will get one for sure. I once gotten a negative feedback on ebay because I sold a new set that someone previously opened(they glue the box back). Not cool man! Quote

Personally, I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't found a Vader, but it was his choice to return them and he didn't buy them for the set, just for the Vader, so we can't have a go at him for making a choice that not all of us would do. Afterall, loads of pages back someone from Engliand asked TLG about it and they said they might be providing them but could not put them in the January set randomly! I think for now I might buy the Leia, Boba and Vader magnet set. Quote
