Legoman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Dispite all the videoing stuff, there is an fairly simple way to know if there's a vader inside (for BP's anyway) It was posted in at certain place... I've never tried it, so don't know how reliable it is. I'll try if i ever go to the US Because, the thing is, a smart person can HAER a difference inside the box. This wasn't possible with the C-3PO, as it was a smooth malleable bag. But the Vader is in a polybag. So if it gets touched it makes a light crinkleing sound, similar, but different to a normal lego bag's sound. So people can get a box, lightly squeeze it like anyone usually does when picking up a set, and hear a chromie vader inside. I guess this would work best with BP's, as there is little ace for it to hide. Good luck everyone! I would say 'If you manage to find a few with this method, I still want one!' But it's the internet, no-one's that nice Quote

-JD- Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Can someone provide a picture of the back of the polybag? With a close up of the writing? Quote
Bricks Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Can someone provide a picture of the back of the polybag? With a close up of the writing? I have no time to make a picture from my own Vader, so I found this on the internet: 'Bricks' Quote
-JD- Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Thanks. Apparently there is a web link on the package and the page says where other DVs are. Just wondering if anyone could provide the link. Quote

-JD- Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 No. Not that one. I found out about the webpage from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EOEDQReM8s...re=channel_page I'll keep digging. Greetings, JD Quote
ILikePi Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) Here's a front package photo from Starstreak: Same website as the one Bricks posted. Edited April 4, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
Filip Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 The link that Bricks provided is the only website that I know of. Btw, today I might buy a chrome vader (if I am the lucky guy who has the highest bid, that is) . Quote
legoblockman Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Thanks. Apparently there is a web link on the package and the page says where other DVs are. Just wondering if anyone could provide the link. ok i think i've worked it out. The link provided earlier was the correct one. It says what countrys the DVs are in at the top right hand corner of the back of the package. It would be good if somebody could post a better picture of the package because it's kinda hard to see the writing with all the light reflecting off it. Quote

I don't think so that they are the countries, in which the DV released! Because it's just the standard box information, for all countires, which sell LEGO products. 'Bricks' Quote
The Who Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I don't think that they are the countries in which the DV is released!Because it's just the standard box information, for all countires, which sell LEGO products. All it says is 'components made in Denmark, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.' in different languages. Quote
-JD- Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Hmm. Maybe the kid in the video just made it up. Would the polybag make a scratchy noise when moved around in a box? I can hear it in a new Assassin BP (which I will open at Easter). I can return it if it makes a different noise and save £8. Or swap it for a Clone BP. Greetings, JD Quote
Bricks Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I think it's very difficult to find a 'Chrome Vader' with a special noise! Because the polybags in the box make a similar noise as a Chrome Vader polybag... 'Bricks' Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I looked at the video, but I didn't hear anything about how to find the Chrome DVs. All he said was that there is a website address on the package that he thinks only people who got the DV should know. That website is the one posted above, on lego.com. Could somebody explain if I'm missing something here? (Off topic-ish, do you notice that on the website link posted above it says they have some super-secret projects they can't even talk about? That's pretty neat!) Quote
soc399 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I found a chrome Vader today in an Assassin Droid battle pack! Regarding the website, the one a few posts above is the only one on the package. Otherwise, it's all typical stuff like choke hazard warnings. I don't think you're missing anything. Quote
ILikePi Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Congratulations! I wonder how many chrome Vaders have been found so far...I didn't get one yet. Quote
Future74 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I wonder how many chrome Vaders have been found so far...I didn't get one yet. I know that feeling. I got my 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT and put all my hopes up, but sadly no Now waiting untill new sets come out... Quote

Yeah, I think so, too. Most of the Chrome Vader's will be inside the upcooming ''summer'' sets. But I have a question so far: Are they just in the ''Anniversary-sets'' or in the others, too? People have been reporting getting them in Battle Packs, and the Attack shuttle. That means: they are in all the sets. Not just the one anniversary set. Quote

Filip Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I just won an auction about a chrome vader! It costed me 31 euro which I think is okay since I was willing to pay 40 euro. I got kinda scared in the last minute, because my bid raised from 25 to 31 with only a couple of seconds to go. I thought that this guy would try to bid higher but when I refreshed the page the auction was finished and I was the lucky winner . Also, this was the second cheapest chrome Darth Vader sold on Tradera (Sweden's eBay). I am really happy now! Quote

Clone OPatra Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 But I really mean, are they in all 'summer'-sets, too or just in the 'Anniversary'-ones...? Just wondering, where have you read that the Vaders will be in the upcoming summer sets? If they are already assorted in the January sets, at least in America, I wouldn't think LEGO would put a whole bunch more in the summer sets. Or are you only talking about the Vaders in Europe? Quote
Oky Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 For pete's sake! It says "in ALL 2009 STAR WARS sets"! I think it's pretty clear what that means. Quote
