Drock Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 You have to pay close attention and read the screens. After you make the order, it will bring you to a screen still on the sellers pages, and there will be a link to any items on your wanted list that you just ordered... I don't remember the exact wording, something like "show items from this order on your wanted list". AFAIK, this is the only change you have to do this. The link takes you to a subset of your wanted list containing items from that order, and you can edit them just like you can normally edit your list. Thanks
LEGO Guy Bri Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 So have I - and let me tell you about today's most bizarre coincidence: Just as I was reading this very thread earlier I was sorting my way through an order that arrived in the mail today... from Dad's AFOL Supplies :D That is too funny Hope you received everything!
Follows Closely Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I have a store with many items already in the inventory. Can I move existing items in the inventory into a new bulk lot?

youtoo Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Question: Would you sell to a user with 0 feedback? I'm selling a big and expensive item on Bricklink, and I got an order for it. The buyer seems nice an all, but has 0 feedback and just created an account a day before placing its order. Would you sell to him? I offered only one option: paying through Paypal, as a Personal->Other payment, and funded from a bank account/Paypal credit. Is that enough to protect myself? THANKS!!

youtoo Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Through paypal should be fine but what country does he want you to ship it to? To the UK. Through Paypal he could claim his money back, even if he got my item already, couldn't he?
Sokratesz Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) To the UK. Through Paypal he could claim his money back, even if he got my item already, couldn't he? Anyone could. I don't see how him having 0 feedback changes much about that. Just be sure to add tracking and take pictures of the item when packing/shipping it. Google his name, many people use the same nickname for different websites, if he has a good or bad track record it might show elsewhere. - Sok. Edited September 28, 2011 by Sokratesz
youtoo Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Thanks for the reply, he seems to be legit on eBay. What is best for me, to ask to pay in CAD (my currency on Paypal) or USD (as a buyer I mainly buy in US) or it doesn't matter? Who pays that 2.5% Paypal currency conversion fee?
mikey Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 ... I offered only one option: paying through Paypal, as a Personal->Other payment, and funded from a bank account/Paypal credit. Is that enough to protect myself? THANKS!! You are likely to be breaking your agreement to the PayPal TOS by only giving your buyer the one option to pay as a Personal Payment. Which in my opinion does not give you much credibility either.

Which in my opinion does not give you much credibility either. Well, I've been fully transparent with my reasons to do so, and he, the buyer, understands as well. I'm not trying to trick anyone into anything.
ExpiredHero Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Question: Would you sell to a user with 0 feedback? Just to add that everyone on Bricklink has to start somewhere. As others have said, document with photos the items you send and maybe insist on sending it with a tracked service? As to the currency fee's I think they are added to the ammount the buyer pays, but I am not 100% sure on that.

Yes, everyone has to start somewhere, but just double-checking, as he signed up a day before ordering a $700+ order :)
Sokratesz Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I understand your concern. Is his ebay profile really good? (as in, 50 or more positives over more than 6 months on substantial items) If so, you can ask him to send you a message on ebay to verify that it is him. - Tim

Everything should be fine now.
Zeya Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I've started perusing the BL forums area. I see people post when their store has a sale or a coupon deal. And that's pretty cool. But I'm wondering if there's a way to search for which stores are having a sale. Maybe there's a way to query which stores have more than 0 sale items available, or something to that effect? Note that I'm not asking about finding a particular item on sale, but rather a good way to find a store that's having an interesting sale going on (e.g. 15% off everything, 20% off all minifigs, etc).

I'll take the lack of response to this to mean that there's no way to do an automated search of which stores have a sale or promotion going on. That's a shame. I have another similar question though: Is there a way to search for stores that are located within a certain distance of my home address? It would be cool to find local bricklink stores; think of the cost savings on shipping!

Sokratesz Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) What's up with this store: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Squitty&itemID=21519716 and the quantities of sets it has :S Edited October 13, 2011 by Sokratesz

I find this interesting: For orders received after October 31, 2011, we can not guarantee delivery before Christmas The feedback is very good, mostly as a buyer, but all the sells are positive but one.
Sokratesz Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 (edited) I've got a question about selling on bricklink. I have a number of highly sought-after items in my store for very competitive prices, however are there other factors that people use to judge whether they want to buy? My feedback score is 100% but still low (25 atm), and I don't charge anything other than the real shipping cost. - Sok. Edited November 4, 2011 by Sokratesz
SilentMode Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I have a number of highly-sought after items in my store for very competitive prices, however are there other factors that people use to judge whether they want to buy? My feedback score is 100% but still low (25 atm), and I don't charge anything other than the real shipping cost. For some people there are other factors; sometimes it's about prices, geography, how soon the store sends out orders, postage costs, added fees or even who you are. Probably the most important thing is how many items you have in stock that someone wants (which of course you have no way of knowing), and how many other useful bits someone can add to their order.
