Alright, Mr. Dunne, you wanted me to aid you in checking this house out, right? Did you know this Lord Chester personally, by any chance?

I might as well start by making some notes while leaning against the wooden panel wall.

Let's be careful of the single statue of old armour as well. You will never know when that sword will fall onto someone. It must have been here for a hundred years ago.

Miss Sandy leaned back against the left wooden paneled wall (to no obvious effect) and began jotting in a small leather bound notebook. Meanwhile, the rest of the detectives stood around, carefully avoiding walking near the cracked floor tiles directly below the chandelier and near the medieval statue. The detectives were feeling much warmer now, what with the lack of wind and the under-floor heating. "Perhaps this investigation won't be as bad as we first thought?" somebody remarked.

And yet they could not shrug off the ever present feeling of hidden eyes watching them...

I quietly step over to the door, slide a sheet of newspaper under it and then bang on the door.

The group turns to look.

What? Haven't you seen that trick before? I picked it up in reel 2 of Murder in the Blue Room. In old places like this, sometimes you can knock the key onto the paper, then pull it inside. Sadly, this lock isn't authentic to the period, so it isn't working all that well. *makes a note of the new door hardware and the lack of classic movie appreciation*

I'm going to examine the suit of armor (move the arms around in a "Danger Will Robertson" fashion). Perhaps there is something special about the armor?

Max: in case the sword falls, would you mind grabbing it before it hits anyone?

(begins humming the tune to "Nutcracker Suite")

*takes a look at the wall she's leaning against* Hmm, if I were a builder of trapdoors, I would definitely put one in a wall like this. Oh well.

Oh, Sir Dragonator, could you be kind enough to finally tell us exactly what we are investigating here? I don't think it ever came up during our conversation, and Mr. Dunne didn't inform me about it very clearly... It wouldn't have anything to do with the passing of Lord Chester, would it?

*scribbles more notes*

Miss Sandy, I wouldn't know why we are here. I presumed all of us are invited under Lord Dragonator's invitation to investigate something. I wonder whom is the housekeeper taking care of this manor. It looks very neat and tidy. Oh Anthony, be careful of the statue, it looks kind of shaky.

Yes, I would definitely move if I were you. Especially since Mr. Blackwater is playing with the arms of that armor...er...I also brought you some flowers.

I do wonder what that wooden door leads to, and whether it is unlocked....

I'll Try to open the wooden door.

Anthony, has the armor beheaded you yet?

No, unfortunately I never had the chance to get to know Lord Chester.

It seems to me that there is some natural light coming from the direction of the smaller wooden door, I'd like to examine the threshold area of the door more closely.

Oh, oops. Perhaps I'll see where the staircase leads. or help the chef open the wooden door since I think he's the coolest!

Interesting an old castle like this has heated floors. There must be something under it that is causing this. I wonder if it's only the first floor. I think I'm going to go up the first flight of stairs and see if the floor is heated up there.

I'll go see if that other small door is locked; I accidently left my soccer ball out in the cold, and I want to get it before a wind blows it away!

Why thank you my dear Mr. Sinclair.

I could always use a little extra muscle power, I know how strong you are, I saw you in "Muscle Man, The Movie". It had rather cheesy special effects, but your biceps looked stunning! :pir-tongue:

 Thanks, those were actually styrofoam...but I've been working hard to get my real ones to look like that ever since, but someone with my frame has a bit of trouble building biceps with a 24 inch circumference. Oh, you probably don't know what an inch is, sorry...

Having had some experience with the safe handling of sharp objects, I think I'll remove the weapon from the armour and give it a closer inspection.

Is anyone else beginning to wonder if our bold comments are being noted by anyone in authority?

Only one way to find out.

We were waiting outside so long I have to use the bathroom. I'll just urinate in the corner here...

Yes, that is the only way to find out...

You should have used the armour. As I recall, in the Legend of Mystery Castle there was a soldier hiding in one of those for several days and he too found a need for relief. Apparently, traditionally constructed European medieval armour is well suited for such a purpose, and offers the additional privacy we all appreciate.

*reach into my pocket*

Dermot, here you go. I have some lozenges in my pocket. It's good for your throat.

Thanks bud. I think I caught a cold from staying outside for so long! If only people knew how to arrive on time.... :pir-hmpf_bad:

I believe so. The cold wind must have gotten you. If you are feeling unwell, I may need to prescribe a stronger dozage for you. It seemed everyone of us are exploring in this huge manor. I wonder where is our host.

Thanks for your help.

Maybe he's hiding under one of these floor tiles. I'll lift up this tile.
