mrchris Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Hello from Chris :) First post after getting back into it after over 10 years, i had a loft full and was tempted after seeing cafe corner in florida downtown disney, eventually bought a set after the mega mini fig washed up on the shore here in the UK and it made the news. Am currently building a table in my loft and washing 10 years worth of dust off my town and boxing it orderly!! it used to be on the floor but... im getting old(er)!!! its survived very well though. have already bought about 5 sets, unfortunately most of my bricks are the old colours - i love the new range of colours so need to stock up on them before i can get some MOC's going. anyway hope to become a reg and will try my hardest to keep to the EB standard!! mrchris :pir-skull: Quote

Anyway Welcolm and by if you mean "EB standard" in context to the standard of MOCing that goes on don't worry as I have little to none MOCing talent myself (however I do not represent the EB's MOC experts) Quote
legotrainfan Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Welcome to community! If that giant minifig was some sort of marketing gag, it seems to have been successful; it made you buy a LEGO set! Quote
CopMike Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Hi mrchris and welcome to Eurobricks! I hope you enjoy your stay! CopMike Quote
Guss Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 as Buttons, I don't know why a giant minifig made you play lego again but anyway, Hello and welcome there! Quote
mrchris Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 (edited) The giant minifig reminded me of the great sets i saw on my holiday! Went to S@H and couldnt resist. With the £1=$2 back then i probably should of tried fitting some in my suitcase, ah well. Edited December 8, 2008 by mrchris Quote
