hollisbrick Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 LEGO Customer service doesn't always have all the answers.I recall of them calling the Chrome Black Vader a fake Haha I remember when I called them about the new Agents availablility and they didnt know what I was talkin about And there was plenty of reviews on EB
hollisbrick Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Here are some review...if any one wants them http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=5372-1 http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=5373-1
Alice Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 You know these sets are apparently an urban legend. They are posted in the bricklink catalog but there is no proof that they exist and I imagine someone would have them for sale even if they were just a promo set (which I find unlikely). It seems that they may have been a concept and even come close enough to production to have instructions and such made but I believe that may have been as far as they actually got. They are sort of boring little sets in my opinion. As for the brickset reviews they were written by our very own ~VBBN(Stealth Bomb).. which is who started this thread and then decided that he actually didn't have them.. after we requested pictures of the polybags. [There is another user who reviewed on brickset and I believe that one is probably bogus as well.]

I was writing them based on the pictures that brickset had, not from play expirenece. All I recalled was that I recieved sets similar to those at TRU in polybags. Not sure about the other writer though. Again sorry.
KimT Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 You know these sets are apparently an urban legend... You nailed just how I feel. It's way too easy to say anything on the net. As for those who claim they've got this, I highly doubt it. Not a single picture of box or polybags is out there. Anyways as I said earlier, I've recreated both sets and will review them shortly. I forgot some essential pieces when ordering from BL (the wheels, the wrong skeleton head), so it'll be a few days before the sets are complete.

What other recent sets were similar to these two that were in polybags? If you lied just go ahead and say you lied.
KimT Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 No no no no! VBBN already stated that he mistook these for some other sets. Calling people liars isn't in the EB spirit. Everyone can make a mistake and he admitted that he was wrong. Let's stop it at that. Topic is closed, since it's turning into a rant on availability and who said what.
