Batbrick Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 My thoughts: Having Black Canary appear on the show-good. The series having a musical episode- WAAAAY bad Would you care to explain why you feel that way? To the Brickmobile! Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Would you care to explain why you feel that way?To the Brickmobile! I have never liked musicals. I think the fact that my younger sisters love them made me hate musicals. Quote
MrTools Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I have only seen one so far i think it was called "The Secret Santa" realy confusing episode robot santa army living toys and UFOs. overall thogh it didnt look too bad. Quote
Oky Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I loved the Batmech, great reference to Kingdom Come: http://comiccoverage.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8...80263970b-400wi Indeed, the Batmech was awesome. Somebody simply has to MOC it some day! Also the classic line: "The hammer of justice is unisex!" Yeah, that line was pretty funny, even though I didn't know it was a "classic" one. Loved this episode so much, easily one of the best so far. Really though, its best to chock up on a bit of comic knowledge to truly appreciate it. Yeah, I suppose so. Still, not my favorite by far. As for the Comic Con news: All those new names don't ring a bell, so I'm gonna have to have them surprise me. Good to know, though, that Hamill will be doing some part in this show! On that note, has anyone seen the Batman sketch in the recent Robot Chicken episode "But Not In That Way"? The one where Joker pretends to escape from Arkham through the sewer? Hamill voices the Joker there! I thought it was hilarious, just like the other Batman parodies they make. God, I love it when Hamill does the Joker Laugh! Btw, he stars in too, along with Adam West. It's not really Lego, but still very cool. Back on topic: The last two episodes I have seen are "Duel of the Double Crossers!" and "Last Bat On Earth!". Both were pretty good, being in a futuristic/post-apoc setting. Jonah Hex is a cool character (Which bounty hunter isn't? ) and it was interesting to learn more about Kamandi's future world. It was also interesting to see Professor Carter Nichols in that episode. I'm surprised, though, that "When OMAC Attacks!" and "The Fate of Equinox!" seem to have already aired, looking at Wikipedia and YouTube. I haven't seen them since CN has been showing stupid movies on Friday nights instead of BTBTB and The Secret Saturdays lately, and my TiVo didn't record any new BTBTB. Can somebody explain this to me? Quote
Batbrick Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 I have never liked musicals. I think the fact that my younger sisters love them made me hate musicals. Ah yes, I was once like you, but I have since been....converted :skull: I have only seen one so far i think it was called "The Secret Santa" realy confusing episode robot santa army living toys and UFOs. overall thogh it didnt look too bad. I would definitely recommend watching some more, the show runs on pure, concentrated awesome! Yeah, that line was pretty funny, even though I didn't know it was a "classic" one. Oh, I didn't mean "classic" in the traditional since, I just meant it was awesome. Yeah, I suppose so. Still, not my favorite by far. I don't understand why, it has been given some of the best raves so far. As for the Comic Con news: All those new names don't ring a bell, so I'm gonna have to have them surprise me. Good to know, though, that Hamill will be doing some part in this show! Yeah, they're definitely more obscure than this season, which is why I'm so excited. But c'mon, HAUNTED TANK! (In case you hadn't realised, he's a tank, that's haunted) On that note, has anyone seen *snip* Yeah, I've seen both of those. The Robot Chicken one was great, I caught all the Shawshank references since I love that movie. The Adam West one is great too, especially all the 60's Batman series callbacks. Yeah, I loved them both, but The Last Bat on Earth was sheer awesome. I loved that Tiny made an appearance even if he didn't talk. For some ridiculous reason Cartoon Network has delayed them till later in the year. However, the awesomeness that is Australia rebelled against CN and a mighty war was fought. Australia won, and subsequently aired both When OMAC Attacks and The Fate of Equinox. I've watched both of them, and they were both pretty darn great. Both concern Equinox as the main villain. To the Brickmobile! Quote
Oky Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Oh, I didn't mean "classic" in the traditional since, I just meant it was awesome. I see. I thought that was your comic geed wisdom talking again. I don't understand why, it has been given some of the best raves so far. Meh, I'm just not a big fan of those 5th Dimension characters or the Looney Tunes. Yeah, they're definitely more obscure than this season, which is why I'm so excited. But c'mon, HAUNTED TANK! (In case you hadn't realized, he's a tank, that's haunted) Yeah, that does sound pretty good. Here's for hoping he/it wont be just in a teaser, but in a main plot. Yeah, I've seen both of those. The Robot Chicken one was great, I caught all the Shawshank references since I love that movie. I haven't seen Shawshank, but it was pretty funny for me nevertheless. Have you seen the "March of the Penguin"? Classic! For some ridiculous reason Cartoon Network has delayed them till later in the year. However, the awesomeness that is Australia rebelled against CN and a mighty war was fought. Australia won, and subsequently aired both When OMAC Attacks and The Fate of Equinox. Hm, interesting, thanks. I wonder when they will air them. Hopefully they wont wait until freaking October when the Clone Wars starts again to continue airing them. We'd be way I've watched both of them, and they were both pretty darn great. Both concern Equinox as the main villain. Are they a two-parter? I'm tempted to watch them now. The Attack of the Zebra-posts has begun! Quote
Batbrick Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 I see. I thought that was your comic geed wisdom talking again. No, no I can give you a rundown of some of the confirmed characters though if you'd like? Meh, I'm just not a big fan of those 5th Dimension characters or the Looney Tunes. But - but everyone loves Looney Tunes Yeah, that does sound pretty good. Here's for hoping he/it wont be just in a teaser, but in a main plot. Yeah, I'm really hoping for that. James Tucker, the producer, confirmed that Batman will have a full World War I episode, so I reckon he'll be in that. Enemy Ace is an anti-hero pilot for the Germans in World War I, so I'm guessing he'll either be villain, side villain, or be like Jonah Hex, since unlike World War II there was a lot of respect for many of the Axis soldiers. I haven't seen Shawshank, but it was pretty funny for me nevertheless.Have you seen the "March of the Penguin"? Classic! Definitely watch Shawshank, it's brilliant. I haven't seen that no, and still haven't, that clip doesn't work for me in Tasmania Hm, interesting, thanks. I wonder when they will air them. Hopefully they wont wait until freaking October when the Clone Wars starts again to continue airing them. We'd be way Were you going to finish that sentence? But yes, I agree, I'm dying waiting for that musical! Are they a two-parter?I'm tempted to watch them now. No, they are not a two-parter, as there are two episodes yet to air in between. However they do continue on from each other, so I highly recommend watching them now on BlueBeetle43's account on Youtube. Trust me, you'll only be waiting a long time if you don't! The Attack of the Zebra-posts has begun! To the Brickmobile! Quote
Oky Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) I can give you a rundown of some of the confirmed characters though if you'd like? Sure, why not. But - but everyone loves Looney Tunes Well, I don't. Watching cartoon characters go through unimaginable amounts of physical pain, striving for a goal that they never reach, over and over again may amuse little children and easily entertained adults, but not me. I grew up watching quality Disney cartoons, and in comparison to those, Looney Tunes just seemed... silly. But I gotta admit, Space Jam is an awesome movie! Well, I guess it all comes together then. Good work, Sherlock Batbrick! How do you do it? I haven't seen that no, and still haven't, that clip doesn't work for me in Tasmania Well, I can't find it on YouTube, so I guess you'll have to keep watching Robot Chicken reruns to catch that ep. Were you going to finish that sentence? But yes, I agree, I'm dying waiting for that musical! No, I wasn't. That's what you call a Sopranos Ending. Lol. JK. I was gonna say "We'd be way behind in that case", but somehow I forgot to put the last part in. I take it that they have stopped airing the show where you live as well? No, they are not a two-parter, as there are two episodes yet to air in between. However they do continue on from each other, so I highly recommend watching them now on BlueBeetle43's account on Youtube. Trust me, you'll only be waiting a long time if you don't! Huh? Now I'm really confused. What episodes are those? Anyway, yeah, I'll watch 'em the next time I meet with my friend. We always watch BTBTB and CW eps together. Batbrick Posted July 30, 2009 Author Posted July 30, 2009 Sure, why not. Haunted Tank, is well....a haunted tank. I'll let that one be a surprise. The Spectre is a servant of God who is assigned to be sort of an angel of death, killing those who have earned judgment. He needs a human host to retain a sense of morality though. Phantom Stranger is like his namesake very mysterious, who is battles occult forces. He himself is very supernatural. The Batman of Zurr En Arh is from the wacky Silver Age of comics, where Batman was asked by the Batman of Planet X (also known as Zurr En Arh) to help him on a mission. Very obscure, and wears a Batsuit that is purple, yellow, red and a variety of other colours. Vixen is a woman who has the power to draw upon the aspects of various Earth wildlife, such as a speed of a cheetah, strength of a Rhino etc. Monsieur Mallah is The Brain's loyal partner in crime, who carries him around and is superintelligent. You'd know him off Teen Titans, though little known fact in the comics is that they are one of the only gay supervillain couples. And French. And also weirdest couple ever since one's a brain and the other an ape Well, I don't. Certainly one of the more marginalising statements I've read...large assumptions are rarely a good thing. I take it that they have stopped airing the show where you live as well? I live in the awesomeness that is Tasmania (island state of Australia, home of Tassie Devil blah blah) and I think they may have stopped airing them now. Though mind you, we still got When OMAC Attacks! and The Fate of Equinox! so maybe they will air more here? Huh? Now I'm really confused. What episodes are those? The Fate of Equinox! is the season finale, but between that and When OMAC Attacks! is meant to be Inside the Outsiders! and Mayhem of the Music Meister! Not sure why Channel 9 jumped straight ahead though. To the Brickmobile! Quote
Batbrick Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 Mayhem of the Music Meister; the show's musical episode and final one of the show to play has finally aired! I think it is easily my favourite episode, the lyrics are hilarious and the references are brilliant. Plus Neil Patrick Harris - aka Dr Horrible - as the villainous Music Meister? Sheer genius. I strongly encourage anyone to watch it, it's on the internet and is fantastic. You won't regret it. Batbrick Away! Quote
Oky Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) Dammit! I wish they start airing these here again too. I rather watch these in good quality in my home theater instead of in the mediocre internet quality on my computer. Right now I can't see it returning. Next friday night on CN will be dedicated to CW, but maybe after that, the friday scheduling will return to normal and they will start airing new CW episodes together with BTBTB. I hope so. So, is there any sign of the Dr. Horrible, eh? That's awesome! Anyone working on any BTBTB MOCs yet? Or any Batman MOCs for that matter? Btw, I started watching LOSH on Youtube. It's quite an enjoyable show, but nothing too special. Oh and... this is a bit off-topic, but does anyone know a good place to watch The Secret Saturdays? I have missed the last episodes and there are no reruns. Edited September 27, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

I think the Tb&TB episodes start airing on CN again in November. So, is there any sign of the Did oyu want ot finish that one? Dr. Horrible, eh? That's awesome! How does this keep happening to me in this thread?! Here you go: Is there any sign of the second season being aired in "the awesomeness that is Tasmania"? I got a feeling, though, that I got the answer in the last quote already. Yeah, he's great, here's a pic of him as the Music Meister:[/img] Lol. It even kinda looks like him, with the big goggles/glasses. I probably won't. I love the show, but I would first need the proper figs, which I can't have Why not? You've made some great custom figs so far, and there even is an official dark blue Batsy, so what's the hold up? I might build the Batmech or Batwing at some point, but I don't have the time right now. Also, one could probably make a neat Joker themed creation out of the parts of the upcoming Zurg constraction fig... Trust me, it gets way better eventually. Yeah, probably. Too bad the show didn't very long. I have also been watching reruns of Teen Titans. Damn that was a good show! I watched that last episode btw and couldn't find that clue you were talking about which tells you how Terra escaped. Help please? I think I'll watch B&S: Public Enemies this week. It looks pretty good. To the Okymobile! Quote

Here you go: Is there any sign of the second season being aired in "the awesomeness that is Tasmania"? I got a feeling, though, that I got the answer in the last quote already. Yours, I didn't even know we have CN over here No, Inside the Outsiders aired here recently and I'm certain that Music Meister is coming soon. And Tasmania is so awesome, apart form the indecisive weather Why not? Also, one could probably make a neat Joker themed creation out of the parts of the upcoming Zurg constraction fig... Aww shucks Seriously I'll look into doing it sometime then. I'm currently contributing to the Post Apoc Build which is probably dead, but atleast I'll have done my part and not abandoned ship. Wayne Manor is coming along but is currently halted as I'm waiting for some good pieces. So yeah, I guess I'll try something, maybe the Jokermobile.... Yeah, probably. Too bad the show didn't very long. Yeah I'm really disappointed about that. Their version of Superman, especially in the second season is my favourite ever. Justice League's was great but too angry and not caring enough to be that shining ray of hope y'know? I have also been watching reruns of Teen Titans. Damn that was a good show! I watched that last episode btw and couldn't find that clue you were talking about which tells you how Terra escaped. Help please? It was a great show, I'm planning on ordering it eventually. The last episode doesn't give a clue, but the big theory of how she returned was that in the season 4 finale all the people are turned into lifeless statues by Trigon, and turned back after he is defeated, meaning she was likely made back to normal as a side effect. She claims to have been at the school for some time too. I think I'll watch B&S: Public Enemies this week. It looks pretty good. It was pretty enjoyable and very fun, but don't expect a lot of plot. It is also very short and some of the character designs are too similar, but overall very recommended. Dr Cox voices Metallo too. To the Okymobile! Moc it Batbrick Away! Quote

Wait, I thought that one aired already? And Tasmania is so awesome, apart form the indecisive weather And inflated prices on Lego. Aww shucks Don't cry. I have a neat Agents MOC coming up that should make up for it. Can't wait to see your post-apoc creation! Too bad WM is on hold. I hope you'll be able to finish it soon. Bruce must be tired of sleeping in the batmobile all the time. Yeah I'm really disappointed about that. Their version of Superman, especially in the second season is my favourite ever. Justice League's was great but too angry and not caring enough to be that shining ray of hope y'know? I actually like it when he's angry. As you know, I don't like all that ray of hope crap. Which is why I liked B/S: Public Enemies. Then again, he made it almost too easy for Luthor to make him look like the bad guy. Ah, I see. Well, no wonder I didn't know, because I never saw "The End". With CN showing reruns now, I'm in hope of catching it, but they tend to not show such three-parters/season finales amongst reruns. What's worse is that they keep showing "Birthmark", thereby teasing me. Oh well, if they don't show it, I can always go and buy that season. It was pretty enjoyable and very fun, but don't expect a lot of plot. It is also very short and some of the character designs are too similar, but overall very recommended. Dr Cox voices Metallo too. I saw it yesterday. You were right, it doesn't have much plot, but it's still pretty cool. The action was great, I don't think the characters looked too similar. I also didn't think it was short. Not any shorter than most other Marve/DC cartoons are. That Batman/Superman mech would make one sweet MOC when done right. Moc it Maybe I will. Now, if you excuse me, I'll go fantasize about Power Girl a bit. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Wait, I thought that one aired already? Yeah but not here, I downloaded a high quality version, but I'm sure it's airing soon. I hope you'll be able to finish it soon. Bruce must be tired of sleeping in the batmobile all the time. Thanks, Wayne Manor I definitely will finish, but in the meantime I still want to make things. I've basically done the first floor, I just need to do the carpet, finish the stairs and windows. Wolud you like to see a pic? I actually like it when he's angry. As you know, I don't like all that ray of hope crap. Which is why I liked B/S: Public Enemies. Then again, he made it almost too easy for Luthor to make him look like the bad guy. Hey, just because you don't like "ray of hope" doesn't make it crap. It just means you seem to have a narrower vision of quality, which with my help will hopefully be widened Ah, I see. Well, no wonder I didn't know, because I never saw "The End". With CN showing reruns now, I'm in hope of catching it, but they tend to not show such three-parters/season finales amongst reruns. I also didn't think it was short. Not any shorter than most other Marve/DC cartoons are. That Batman/Superman mech would make one sweet MOC when done right. I retract my "short" statement on the basis that it was as long as it needed to be, but the voice talent was really wasted in some places. A lot of scenes (in particular the Metallo scene) could've used dialog to spice it up, what's the point of paying actors to do just three lines and then have some awkward shots of the characters moving around without saying anything? Maybe I will. The horror! Or maybe I'll make it, I already created the Brainboxmobile. Batbrick Away! Quote

All that was important to me was that Kevin Conroy voiced Batsy and that he kicked some butt. Please, Kevin Cnroy is great as Batman but I really want o see more actors giving the character a go. Batbrick Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Well Brave and the Bold is airing on Cartoon Network again FINALLY! When OMAC Attacks and Mayhem of the Music Meister - the show's musical episode - have aired so far. What's the thoughts guys? Batbrick Away! Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I don't know what thier intentions were with the Music Meister episode. I thought it was funny. I thought is was purposely made to be funny. I don't know if they were serious. They made Canary sign by choice. One other thing was Batman gave Aquaman and Green Arrow the ear plugs and they started signing after he had given them to them. Aquaman was agaist Batman and Green Arrow wasn't. Did they take them out or what? Despite all of that I tought it was hilarious. It has the novelty that the 60's Batman had. Quote

The gag there was that the heroes couldn't resist singing even with the plugs, they just weren't under Meister's spell, only boring Bats didn't and he finally came around at the end Green Arrow and Aquaman were both under trance near the end, but Green Arrow hit Aquaman because its hold wasn't strong enough to make him hit Canary. Does that explain it? Batbrick Away! Quote

Oky Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 OK, so CN seems to be taking a break from airing new episodes (for whatever reason), let's take the time to look back at the recent episodes. How is everyone liking Season 2 so far? I thinks it's pretty good. There are still episodes there are kinda "meh" but those are getting more and more rare. Here are my quick thoughts on the individual episodes: "Long Arm of the Law!": One of the Meh episodes. I'm not a big fan of Plastic Man, and his nemesis, Kite Man, has got to be one of the lamest villains ever. You gotta admire all the cliche superhero story elements which have been littered throughout this episode, and the way Bats just left the picture at the end was classic. "Revenge of the Reach!": One word: EPIC! Blue Beetle is one of my favorite characters on this show, and he was really kicking butt in this episode! I loved! Too bad the Lantern Core got defeated so easily though. You would have expected them to be able to put up a better fight. Oh well. "Death Race to Oblivion!": Loved this one as well! I always like these types of combat races, and having one with Bats, Joker, and the gang was simply delightful! Did not see the ending coming either. Really nice episode. "Aquaman's Outrageous Adventure!": If you know me, you will already know what I think of this episode. Not only did it star a bored Aquaman, but even had a Uranus joke as well. The only thing this episode was good for for me was to see Pengi again, and spotting some familiar DC cities on the map. "The Golden Age of Justice!": This was a nice one. It had a good amount of drama, humor, and action, and a villain to be reckoned with. "That's senior citizen to you, whippersnapper!" "Clash of the Metal Men!": This one was also meh. There were a lot of things that didn't make sense, and the way Bats survived at the end was just cheesy. "A Bat Divided!": Pretty good. I liked the classic showdown with the Riddler at the beginning, and Firestorm seems to be an interesting character. And even though I'm not sure if he is really a part of Batman's personality, that slacker Bats was hilarious. Looking forward to seeing more of Firestorm. "Sidekicks Assemble!": This was also very enjoyable! I especially liked how similar Ras was to his BTAS version. But why is Speedy such a nerd? Also, even though I know they were going for a comical tone, I just can't accept that Batman was the one to come up with "Nightwing" and that robin's departure was under such lighthearted circumstances. That whole situation was just too happy and too far from what they showed in BTAS. But I'll get over it. Overall, this is shaping up to be a great season, and if the Wikipedia description are to be trusted, the best episodes are still to come. I can't wait for "The Reign of Emperor Joker!" I'm too thrilled about the Shazam and Doom Patrol episodes though. Considering that the Brain is just a gay know-it-all Frenchman who is rendered helpless once tipped over, I'm afraid to see how lame the rest of Brotherhood of Evil is in this show compared to how badass they were in Teen Titans, not to mention the Doom Patrol. Oh well, we'll see. It's also good to see those starro things from Batman Beyond again. Being a big fan of the Venture Bros, I especially liked the teaser with the Challengers of the Unkown. And it looks like we're in for a two-parter with them. Cool. So, what are your thoughts? Quote
Batbrick Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Yay I was hoping this thread might be revived! OK, so CN seems to be taking a break from airing new episodes (for whatever reason), let's take the time to look back at the recent episodes. How is everyone liking Season 2 so far? I thinks it's pretty good. There are still episodes there are kinda "meh" but those are getting more and more rare. Here are my quick thoughts on the individual episodes: I think Season 2 is very quickly outdoing Season 1, which itself was oneo f the best cartoon debuts I know of. Even BTAS had more stinkers earlier on than this show. "Long Arm of the Law!": One of the Meh episodes. I'm not a big fan of Plastic Man, and his nemesis, Kite Man, has got to be one of the lamest villains ever. You gotta admire all the cliche superhero story elements which have been littered throughout this episode, and the way Bats just left the picture at the end was classic. What!? This was a great episode! I think you've missed that this was a joke episode reminiscent of Animaniacs, the villain was deliberately lame, I mean, did you see his origin story? I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard at him randomly standing in a bucket of water in the middle of a lightning experiment! "Revenge of the Reach!": One word: EPIC! Blue Beetle is one of my favorite characters on this show, and he was really kicking butt in this episode! I loved! Too bad the Lantern Core got defeated so easily though. You would have expected them to be able to put up a better fight. Oh well. This was indeed a great episode. I agree the Lantern Corps gets defeated too eaisly in this show, but this was the one ep where it was justified, in the comics the Reach has technology that cannot totally subvert the Lantern stuff. "Death Race to Oblivion!": Loved this one as well! I always like these types of combat races, and having one with Bats, Joker, and the gang was simply delightful! Did not see the ending coming either. Really nice episode. This was also great I agree, Joker's running commentary was a riot. The One Punch! reprise also got me. Your review doesn't count because oyu're too steeped in bias But seriously this was one of the best eps of the whole show to me, they even included a joke about Pluto no longer being a planet, and Aquaman is always welcome, he's great. This was on a par with the TNBA Penguin for me, such a great 50's rendition of the character, I loved his obsession with umbrellas. "The Golden Age of Justice!": This was a nice one. It had a good amount of drama, humor, and action, and a villain to be reckoned with. "That's senior citizen to you, whippersnapper!" This was indeed a great episode, and a Nazi villain too! The onscreen death shocked me quite a bit too, this series has racked up a much bigger body count than BTAS, but this was actually shown onscreen. You can also notice a BTAS poster on the wall of the museum in the first half "Clash of the Metal Men!": This one was also meh. There were a lot of things that didn't make sense, and the way Bats survived at the end was just cheesy. I agree with oyu here, this one was quite average. I love the Metal Men, but this wasn't nearly as fun and out there as it should have been. Helium Bats made me chuckle though just for the thought of the world's most renowned dark hero with a squeaky voice. Yeah, Riddler was great, and stoner Batman was a riot. He does make sense though, since he's basically what Batman would be without angst or smarts; a care free playboy. You combine Science!Batman and Stoner!Batman and you get a well educated playboy, and add Angry!Batman and you get the motivation to be serious and be Batman! Also: Batman does not eat NACHOS! Yeah I loved this one, Ras was great and this Talia was much better than the BTAS one, so kickass. Actually, the BTAS version gets quite a bit of flak from Batman fans for being too over the top and requiring Bruce to go way too far as Batman. In the comics its generally halfway between this nad the BTAS version, he becomes Nightwing because of various serious things and stresses, but not to the point where he punches his friends and mentors. I've seen the Shazam episode already and its fantastic. You're forgetting one thing though, that the Brain will have Monsieur Mallah this time around. He is gay and french in the comics though, that's part of his charm. Also this version is less useless than the Teen Titans one, which couldn't move at all, this Brain has robotic arms with weapons. Yeah, Starro is being built up as the season baddie, looking forward to seeing the actual Star conqueror animated! Batbrick Away! Quote
Oky Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) I think Season 2 is very quickly outdoing Season 1, which itself was one of the best cartoon debuts I know of. Well, I don't know about that, but yes, S2 is better than S1 and the whole show is pretty good. What!? This was a great episode! I think you've missed that this was a joke episode reminiscent of Animaniacs Oh no, I got that, but it still seemed somewhat lame to me. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood when I watched it. If I watch it again, I'll probably enjoy it more. This was also great I agree, Joker's running commentary was a riot. Yup, this episode pretty much finalizes it: the Jokermobile HAS to be MOCed! Oh, shuddupuh ya face! Yeah, the Pluto one was good, admittedly, and Penguin was great. I almost felt bad for him because nobody was taking his big umbrella scheme seriously. The onscreen death shocked me quite a bit too, this series has racked up a much bigger body count than BTAS, but this was actually shown onscreen. You can also notice a BTAS poster on the wall of the museum in the first half Yes, that was pretty hardcore for this otherwise very lighthearted show. Still nothing compared to Batgirl's death though. Oh really? I think I'll have to watch this ep one more time too! I agree with oyu here, this one was quite average. I love the Metal Men, but this wasn't nearly as fun and out there as it should have been. Helium Bats made me chuckle though just for the thought of the world's most renowned dark hero with a squeaky voice. Who is Oyu? I think this was quite below average. An average BTBATB episode is better than this. But yes, even though pretty much anyone sounds funny on helium, that bit was extra sweet. Yeah, I guess so. It may have been a bit over-dramatic, but at least it was realistic. Not "Hey guyz! I'm Nightwing now! Thanks for that neat name, Bats! LOL!" Perhaps this ending was meant to be ironic? I don't know. I've seen the Shazam episode already and its fantastic. Always one step ahead of me, I see. Well, I'll try to keep an open mind then. You're forgetting one thing though, that the Brain will have Monsieur Mallah this time around. He is gay and french in the comics though, that's part of his charm. Also this version is less useless than the Teen Titans one, which couldn't move at all, this Brain has robotic arms with weapons. What are you talking about? Mallah was there in TT too. And villains with robotic arms with weapons are a dime a dozen. What separates the Brain from other villains is, well, his brain power. I haven't seen much of that from this Brain yet, whereas the one in TT almost took out all the titans simply with strategic superiority, plus his dalek-style way of talking was really cool. But then again, the BTBATB Brain only had a small appearance, so I can't really judge him yet. We'll see. By the way, I never expressed my love for the Musik Meister episode. Even though it was rather weird and I'm not sure if I would want another episode like that, it was great! All the music was composed rather nicely. Dr. Horrible FTW! So, how about that Wayne Manor WIP topic? To the Okymobile! Edited March 12, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
