Nice review and a nice set. The cab is crying out for mods though - All that space behind the cab could be used to extend it and add a proper seat, a computer, etc, etc. Also, the model is just asking to be converted into a excavator to use alonside the 7344 Dump Truck from a couple of years ago. It's never really had anything to match up to it!

Cheers

Damn. Those sets keep getting me more and more excited about building a tabletown. And those excellent reviews just add to it.

Looking forward to seeing those new pieces in orange. Perfect for any Exo Force base-MOC

Its funny how many post like this you see. So many people are very quick to pass off a new set that they'

ve only seen a couple pics of cause they asume that its built a certain way,or has large parts that don't offer much flexability when it comes to mocing. Then they see a review of the set and add it to there must buy list! Goes to show you you can't judge everything right away!

Thanks for the great review. This will defenatly be on my buy list!

Oh, I agree! When new pictures come around, I'm often one of the people saying that we shouldn't judge the sets so soon. Unfortunately, it looks like I've been falling prone to that very same practice very lately - despite the fact that my confidence in TLC keeps growing. :sadnew:

I love the crawler crane. Looks awesome! My only gripe is the front glass on the control cab. Should it not be angled back at the top rather than forward? I mean the way it is the operator cannot look up at his load.

Just bought the set today, built it... and I'm not sure what's wrong. Whenever I operate the winch to raise or lower the boom, the crane construction starts to fall apart, starting with the black slopes that form the top-most part of the mechanism. I can get it to work if I'm really careful, but I can't believe Lego would screw up the playability so badly.

Thanks for the review. I own this set as well and I think it was well designed. It is a bit too big I think. Does not matter, this is a one of a kind set which is worth buying.
