Although I love the Jester, I don't own it and have never seen it in the 'flesh' or should that be 'yellow'? So I went for the good wizard, I just love the details including the belt buckle, decorations on the hat and the light blue colour, and he makes a great contrast to the evil wizard. Although my fave, the good wizard does lack a little in the wand department having what just looks like a stick, compared to the mighty weapon of the evil wizard with its lightning bolts. Maybe true power doesn't come from the wand, or just maybe the evil wizard would kick the good wizard's butt in a duel.

Dwarvenlord, we have 15 dwarves, mainly because giant chess.

Whoops, you are right . I didn't count the eight little buggers in the chess set. But on the other hand, it is a S@H exclusive...

I would include the different types of crownies into the poll: The one with the flat helmet, the knight, the guy with the scared face, etc. I would totally vote for the one with the scared face, he's hilarious and very useful!

For me it was the troll warriors hands down, it's basically what got me back inte castle, from havening collocted only classic SW-sets.

How long haven't people been craving orcs, just look att all the legions of Dobbys and armies of grinogott-elfs out there!

Great poll idea, darthperson!

I voted for the Jester since it's simply the best minifig of all!

The medieval maiden is really cool, too. But since there hasn't been a jester until now I think that the most of us are very glad to have this minifig.

Well technically there is only one new version of the knight in 2008 (the one with the crown torso, as pictured). It would be such a waste of time if I went and made options for every single head combination.

I choose Dwarf wearing a silver winged helmet with a long orange beard as my top choice. That was my favourite dwarf warrior which is used to defend its allies. The second choice will defintely be the lovely dazzling maiden which appear in the Advent Calender that can be used as a civillian in the upcoming Medieval Market village. My last choice will be the troll/orc warrior whom are the new addition into the rein of dark wizard's expanding army. :sweet:

undead minfig please....

But there were no new undead minifigs released last year. Unless you count the witch, in which case you can vote for her.

ahhh, my bad..

I though the Giant Chess Set and Skeleton Battlepack are a set... :skull:

Well, yes, but neither of them had new skeleton minifigs, which this poll is all about (although I'm not sure if the one with the cape and the hood can be counted).

For me the female peasant (maiden) is the best figure for 2008. In a line that suffers a serious shortage of female minifigs, she is really appreciated. The Jester was a close second, but for overall versatility I chose the maiden over the clown.

I chose Giant Troll (Green) as they are fun to use in mocs. I ended up with two because I bought the Troll Warship and Troll Battle Wagon.

I love the new Crown soldier. So simple, yet very detailed and effective. With this minifigure, you can now have a squire, instead of just knights. Plus, the chainmail is cool, but I think it might get old if every soldier had it. The silver helmets just look alot better with the dark and light blue than the chainmail. Thank you for your time ladies and gentlemen. That is all.
