WesternOutlaw Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 Snow Box Derby Fans: There's only one team you should be rooting for, and that team will take the others DOWN! Looking for your votes! Quote
JimBee Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Now Majek's joined too... Anyways, I love your entry, IS. Nice scenery on the front, too. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Now Majek's joined too... We need some sort of a blocking mechanism. His snow box is very nice though. Don't listen to those Men in a Dark Color! Support the only team which has both a sucky economy, plus food on a snow box! Now let's slide! Quote
Zepher Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Thanks E. I'm really glad to hear that you're enjoying it. This morning's news was a little late as I decided to sleep-in "in Walrus fashion". You should build a Sideline Scene Zepher. I'm sure it would make a nice addition. I may! I just don't have amny member's Sigs... Looks like another great day guys! Quote
Batbrick Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Snow Box Derby Fans:There's only one team you should be rooting for, and that team will take the others DOWN! Looking for your votes! Agreed! The Men in Black is a vast global organisation spanning centuries with access to technology new and old. Whilst my partner TheBrickster delves into the ancient dark arts and western design to create a fast and deadly machine, I chose to instead create a smaller, more agile machine using modern technology both real and fictional to make a snoxbow capable of out maneuvering those damned mechas! Whilst I distract the giant tin cans with my agile little speeder my partner will fire a single shot from his powerful cannon to destroy the leg joint, thus crippling them! And remember, to not vote for the Men in Black is to ask for a memory wipe! Batbrick Away! Quote
hewkii9 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 And remember, to not vote for the Men in Black is to ask for a memory wipe! Are you the guy in charge of the blue flashy things!? I thought that was Will Smith. Quote
Batbrick Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Are you the guy in charge of the blue flashy things!? I thought that was Will Smith. Yes, and no, Will Smith is in charge of being the last-guy-on-Earth-even-when-he's-not Batbrick Away! Quote
Batbrick Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Sorry for the doublepost gents, but my entry has now been changed to better meet the spirit of the season: What? It's not Halloween you say? Well I'm bringin' it with me! Batbrick Away! Quote

WhiteFang Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Brickster, this is such an amazing finale for this contest! I love the way you design your beautiful graphics plus the exciting commentary, it seemed just like a real "live" Snowbox derby contest. Congrats Mr Mandalorian for being the top winner, followed by Sir Nadroj and Sir Dillion. Lastly, the amazing duo, Team America won the overall champion. A fun and enjoyable contest! Quote
Sandy Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Now that the Snow Queen has returned to the North Pole (and caused a few glaciers to melt with her fury), I can finally congratulate all the winners of this competition! It was a blast for sure! Quote
Corvus Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Hey, cool! I actually won something! Cool! He cheated! He blew the $!&% out of us! Owww.... Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted December 29, 2008 Author Posted December 29, 2008 Everyone: Thanks for participating in Snow Box Derby 2008. Perhaps we can do this again next year. I really enjoyed creating the daily blogs and seeing all of the fantastic entries. Even though the best Snow Box (hint: the Snow Steamer) did not win, as well as The Men in Black team, the contest was equally fun for me. I hope you all enjoyed it and be thinking about next year's annual event! Quote
mandziarat Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I voted for the Economy, but the Basilik Snow Droid would be my 2nd choice. Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 I was a little disappointed to get no votes at all You had a great entry. I loved the creative use of the cannons. There were a lot of good entries to choose from though. Think of it as motivation to build something even better next year. Quote
VBBN Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Congrats! Quick question, was I not added to team America because I never specified that I was in that team? Quote
